The baby (7 months old) was found in front of Balewa Hostel this Morning. The baby was dumped inside a dustbin in front of St, Peter's Catholic Chaplaincy, UNN.

Reports claim that it was a still birth.

Another bomb explosion has rocked popular Kawo market in Kaduna two hours after the first one killed 25 persons on Wednesday.

Casualty figure is said to be unprecedented and the State Government has imposed a 24 hours curfew.

The second bomb explosion that rocked the Kawo bus station in Kaduna today appeared to have targeted Mr. Buhari’s convoy. Three aides and security personnel traveling with Mr. Buhari to Daura, his hometown, have been confirmed injured in the afternoon blast.

Our source said that the bombers had trailed Mr. Buhari’s convoy and detonated the bomb as the convoy neared a bridge in Kawo.

Our source said the retired General was in good condition, even though he was shaken up by the trauma of the attack.

Shares of Manchester United surged almost 5% yesterday after the soccer team TISI -2.02% announced its new, $130 million a year kit deal with Adidas , which will begin during the 2015-16 season and see the German sportswear maker replace its U.S. rival, Nike.

Wall Street now affords United an enterprise value of $3.6 billion. Math: market value ($3.05 billion) + long term debt ($613 million) – cash ($57 million). In April, we valued Real Madrid as the world’s most valuable team, worth $3.44 billion, with Barcelona second at $3.22 billion, and United third at $2.81 billion.

Wall Street may be right. Although United will not participate in the lucrative 2014-15 Champions League due to its seventh place finish in the 2013-14 Premier League, the team now commands both the richest uniform ans shirt deals in the world (the Manchester City $63 million a year shirt deal with Etihad Airlines is excluded from the table because it also includes stadium naming rights).

It may be tough for RM to catch Manchester United, at least in terms of how Wall Street perceives their valuations.

Spain is looking to have La Liga teams negotiate their next television deal collectively rather than having the individual teams sell their media rights. This will likely eliminate the huge television revenue advantage RM and Barcelona ($182 million each, with number two Atletico Madrid pulling in just $61 million) currently enjoy over their rivals. Also, RM’s shirt with Adidas runs through 2020 and its shirt sponsorship with Emirates Airline is through the 2017-18 season. So those categories have a reset written into the deals RM will not get an increase in revenue from them any time soon.

Outside of soccer, the two most valuable teams are MLB’s New York Yankees ($2.5 billion) and the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys ($2.3 billion). But both of those valuations are likely too low given they were published prior to Steve Ballmer’s $2 billion offer for the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers.

A female s3x worker was brutally attacked by the alleged ritualists in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.
The offenders are supposed to be ritualists as during the assault on the prostitute they plucked her eyes out. It was gathered that besides the victim two more s3x workers were offered N30,000 each for their services but only the unnamed woman was tempted by easy money.

The victim who is the resident of Akwa Ibom State was working at Yenagoa red light district called Good Evening Street on Hospital Road in downtown Yenagoa, when three men in SUV appeared and offered to take a ride with them.
The comfort woman accepted the proposal and after awhile the car stopped in an isolated place, supposedly at a bush path, where the malefactors had round of s3x with her and committed the ritual act. Immediately after the crime the so called customers threw her out of the car and fled the scene.
The prostitute was saved by the passing motorists who took her to a nearby police station. Later she was
rushed to the Federal Medical Centre in Yenagoa for treatment. All the attempts to find out more details of the story failed as the hospital workers were on strike on Wednesday.
According to a hospital consultant, the case has been handed over to the state directorate of social welfare, as none of her relations came since the incident happened last week.

The similar incident has happened with a 12-year-old boy who was assaulted by the alleged ritualists in Zaki Local Government Area of Bauchi State

Sad News

Twenty two students of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka yesterday escaped death by whiskers when a bus they were being conveyed in took a tumble while trying to overtake another vehicle along Okigwe axis of the Enugu/Port Harcourt Expressway.

The accident reportedly happened around 10am while the students were on their way to the burial of a colleague’s mother at Mbaitolu Ikeduru in Imo State.
According to one of the students simply identified as Delight, the accident happened when the driver of their bus was trying to avoid a pothole while moving at top speed.

Delight, who is a student of Library and Information Studies, blamed the accident on the bad portions of the road which makes smooth travel almost impossible.
Wreathing in pains, she said after somersaulting for several times “we all saw ourselves in the median of the expressway way trapped in the vehicles with the roof upside down.”

A fatal accident just occured at University market road Nsukka, just 2 blocks away from the University campus.

According to an eye witness, there was a collision between 2 UNN bus shuttles at the university market road in Nsukka. One person has been reported dead while some sustained injury.
