So the thing is, most Nigerians are to be blamed, was it not on this same forum that somebody said they borrowed money from a loan platform and they disappeared with the money. Although character assassination is very bad and should not be condoned. People like FairMoney will never spoil your image. That’s how much I trust them omoruyivictory: I go through this thing before Mine was palm credit and Branch loan but the debt is not up to 100k mine is palm credit 41k Branch loan 6k up together 47k. They contacted my mother telling her that them will locate me and arrest me, so many times they will call, the two loan app one after the other and anytime they call me I will not pick, but managed to pay Branch loan 6k after about 3 months and my mother assist me with about 5k I was free for Branch loan I was battling to pay palm credit. I decided to denied them access to my contact location etc but them keep calling me I never ever pick their call them will send me WhatsApp messages telling me that them will locate and arrest me and them will block my bank account and so on To cut the story short I was able to pay the money little my little and I paid all the money within one year and one month but the interest was not too much let me say at of 41k I paid about 44k while Branch loan 6k no interest at all and I got the money to pay through bet9ja only about 10k my hard earn money was inside the money |

I also disagree with you, the fact that he did not pay on the due date does not mean that they should start with character assassination Tzar: I disagree with you. The problem with Nigerians is that we do not READ! 1. If your contract says you will be debited on 2nd regardless of when the loan was disbursed, then you are the one that is wrong to accuse them! You should have stopped the loan and signed a new contract if the 2nd day repayment was not convinient for you. But as Nigerians, we assume the other party will understand . 2. Why are you complaining about the interest rate? Didin't you read your contract? You collected the loan and enjoyed it, now you are vexing about the interest on the loan? That is rather selfish on your part too. 3. You do not understand Nigerians and their penchant for not paying back their loan. These companies know the evil nature of Nigerian to reap where they did not sow. Therefore, they have deviced a rather unprofessional way to recover their money. You see, Nigerians do not like to be called out or shamed , so they use this psychological tactics to compel repayment. |

There’s one thing I always tell people whatever you do avoid unprofessional and unlicensed loan companies. Borrow from legit sources people that have government license. I am talking about people like fair money. They will not blackmail you or do any of those funny things these other guys do freeborn02: How does that cover up for their unprofessional conduct of reporting to people on your contact?
Did they report to those people initially before giving out loan? |

Didn’t you do enough research before getting a loan from them. Next time do your research come Nairaland we wey sabi go tell you say na only FairMoney make you dey patronize. Apart from loans, FairMoney dey do FREE debit card, discount on airtime, free transfer to other banks with no charges and they are also currently giving out gifts. Abeg use my referral code edakun: MAAA05 when you download the app make all of us enjoy FairMoney AWOOF! Tabithatim: Come and see o! A particular loan app in this Nigeria has been threatening me over a loan that isn’t due, out of 6 instalments I’ve paid 3 and now just some hours after the 3rd instalment is to be paid they’ve started sending me threatening messages and even had the guts to contact people on my contact list that I’m late on my payment. This is so wrong!!
So in July I took out a loan of 150k to pay back in 6 months, they gave me their rules and how I’ll pay it (make I no even talk the big interest rate way dem give me, that one one na topic for anoda day). After confirming my loan on the 2nd of July, it took 4 days for the money to reflect in my account after many stories and mails to them. Can you imagine that these guys have been debiting me on the 2nd of every month claiming that’s when my loan was approved and it’s from my end there was a delay. That’s so unprofessional and mean! I’ve tried to speak with someone on their end but nothing…they’re just speaking English. I don’t know how to report them. Now they’re threatening me even though they’re the ones at wrong.
Most of these loan companies don't care about you or your reputation o. They will promise you heaven & earth everything join with sweet words, they will trick you with social media ads only to lure you in and torture you.
I just tire. I’m soooo pained that I even had to take a loan in the first place and this is what they’re putting a customer through. Na only to dey dirty people name them sabi all these loan apps are one kind and maybe even fraudulent cause not only is their interest rates too high, they shouldn’t be allowed to threaten people at all even if they’ve missed a payment date; it’s just wrong. Is this how all loan apps are? What can I do? I heard FairMoney and some other loan apps are better? |

For real bro, the interest rate you get with FairMoney is unmatched! FairMoney Thank you oo kingcolearchive: As much as i would have loved to agree with you, I still think you are wrong, FairMoney interest rate is one of the best out there. |
Nairaland General › Re: Humongous Loan Apps Interest Rates by techboss1313: 6:18pm On Nov 29, 2021 |
I have used a couple of loan apps in the last months, they all had mad interest rate, somebody on Nairaland told me about FairMoney and I swear na dem get the best interest rate in Nigeria Right now chaseblack: Although I agree that an agreement is an agreement but I think loan apps are taking advantage of Nigerians.
The interest rate these apps fix on loans are absurd and sometimes I don't blame people for default.
What is more annoying is that when you apply to invest in that same company ,they offer peanuts as interests.
For instance, one loan app has an overinflated interest rate of 30% for borrowers but if you are an investor, you will be offered a paltry rate of 1.5-3 %. That's criminal!
To make it clearer, if you borrow 20000 you'll be required to pay back #28,000 - #30,000, which means an interest of #8000-#10000 for just 30 days.
But personal findings reveal that if you try to invest #20,000 in that same loan app, you will get an interest of just #150 - #250 after a month.
This is absurd, I have tried investing #40000 in these loan apps several times and all I received was #150 after 40 days. Just imagine!
I tried another one by investing #60000 for 80 days and all I got was a paltry sum of #2300 .
And the last term time I checked the loan app, you will be required to pay #4500 on a loan of #15000 after just 30 days.
That is greediness and the government needs to look into this and find a way to regulate the interest of online loan lenders.
Failure to do these will continue to increase the no of loan defaulters as these loan interest are outrageous. |
