CelebritiesFollow These Steps To Apply For Guinness World Records. by Techcribsblog(op): 4:22pm On Oct 03, 2018
The post you are about to view below is adapted from=> http://techcribs.com.ng. Follow the steps below to apply for guinness world records. Goodluck!

http://techcribs.com.ng/follow-these-steps-to-apply-for-guinness-world-records/

✅Register for an account on the Guinness World Records website. Visit
https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/account/register?ReturnUrl=%2Faccount to register. Enter your title, name, date of birth, county, country, and email. You’ll also be prompted to create a password.
Write down the password you make somewhere so you don’t forget it later on.
✅Check your email inbox for an activation link. The email will be from the address “noreply@guinnessworldrecords.com.” Open the email and click on the activation link inside. You’ll be brought to your personal dashboard on the Guinness World Records website.
If you don’t receive the email right away, check your spam folder. If you use multiple email accounts, make sure that you are logged into the one you signed up with.

✅Click on the green “apply for a record” button on the middle of the page. You’ll be brought to the record application search page. The page allows you to search through a catalog of records that you can break.

✅Search for the record you’re applying for. Type in a key word into the search bar, then click the red “search” button. Use actual key words and not superlatives. For example, if you’re trying to break the record for walking down a runway in the highest high heels, search for “high heels” instead of “highest.”
If your record spans multiple topics, like high heels and walking, start with the more detailed one. In this case, it would be “high heels.”

✅Scroll through the list of breakable records and choose the one you want. Click on the blue “view record” button next to a record to see what the current record is that you’d have to break. Click the yellow “apply now” button when you’re ready to choose a record.

✅Meet the minimum requirement if you’re applying for a new record title. New record titles are records that have not yet been recognized by Guinness World Records. If you submit a new record title that meets all of the Guinness World Records standards and formatting criteria, they will establish a minimum, based on their research, that you must beat to officially have broken the new record.
For example, if you’re applying to break the record for the longest amount of time spent in a VR headset, Guinness World Records may do some research and say that 20 hours is an appropriate benchmark. You’ll have to beat that to claim the world record.

✅Avoid records that don’t meet the Guinness World Records formatting criteria. Every type of record, whether it has to do with food or art or extreme sports, has a specific format that needs to be followed. Guinness World Records will only accept records that follow the proper formatting.
For example, the record of most food served in X amount of time is formatted so that X can be 1 hour, 8 hours, 12 hours, or 24 hours. Therefore, if you submitted an application for the record of serving the most food in 15 hours, you wouldn’t be following the formatting criteria and your application would be rejected.
Visit http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/FAQ/record-formats to see a list of acceptable record formats.

Celebrities26 Year Old Nigerian Becomes The Highest Paid Robotics Engineer In The World by Techcribsblog(op): 11:23pm On Sep 23, 2018
A 26-year-old Nigerian, credited for building the world’s first gaming robot, Silas Adekunle, has become the highest paid in the field of robotic engineering.

Read full post>> http://techcribs.com.ng/26-year-old-nigerian-becomes-the-highest-paid-robotics-engineer-in-the-world/

Adekunle achieved the feat after signing a new deal with the world’s reputable software manufacturers, Apple Inc.

The robotics engineer was also named as “Someone to Watch in 2018” by the Black Hedge Fund Group.

Adekunle is currently the founder and CEO of Reach Robotics, a company developing the world’s first gaming robots.

He also recently graduated with a first class degree and has four years’ background in robotics.

Born in Lagos, Adekunle studied in Nigeria before relocating to the United Kingdom as a teenager.

After completing his secondary school education, he proceeded to the University of the West of England where he graduated with a first class degree in Robotics.

In 2013, he founded Reach Robotics and developed a lot of experience on robotics within a space of four years.

Adekunle was also a team leader of Robotics In Schools programme, a programme which encourages and pays attention to students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

The programme encouraged him to develop robotics to make education more entertaining for STEM students.

In 2017 MekaMon, he released the world’s first gaming robot, with the special ability to customise the gaming bot to perform personalised functions.

The initial launch of Mekamon sold 500 bots, generating $7.5 million.

Following this feat, he received support from various organisations including London Venture Partners ($10 million) and Reach Robotics signed a deal with Apple securing exclusive sales in Apple stores.

“Impressed by the quality of his robots and their ability to show emotion with subtly-calibrated movements, Apple priced his four-legged “battle-bots” at $300 and has put them in nearly all of its stores in the United States and Britain.

Early customers skew towards male techies but a growing number of parents are buying the robots for their children to get them interested in STEM, Adekunle told Forbes in an interview this year.

PhonesTired Of Instagram Verifications? Use This Trick To Get Your Instagram Account by Techcribsblog(op): 10:02pm On Sep 23, 2018
Instagram which is one of the most popular social networks in the world at the moment, being used by individuals, celebrities, public figures and brands. The Instagram verification is majorly used to differentiate real accounts from fake, but it is now also used to seperate the “big boys & girls” from the small ones.

This blue tick beside the name of verified IG users is something that is envied by so many people. The good news now is that you don’t need to be a super-star before having your Instagram account verified anymore, as the verification feature is now available for everyone.

In this post, I’ll be showing you how to request for verification on Instagram and get the blue tick next to your username.

Easy Steps to get Verified on Instagram (The Blue tick)

* Open the Instagram app and navigate to Settings;

* Step 2: Scroll down and tap Request Verification;

* Input your account name, full name, and upload a photo of your ID or a legal or business ID. This may be your National ID card, voter’s card, International passport, driver’s license or any government issued identity card;

* Click the SEND button

Note: Requesting for verification does not mean that you will get verified as Instagram would have to review your request and then decide whether or not to verify you. Also, there is no timeline as to when they would reply or answer the request too.

Other tips to get the Instagram verification quick is to use a good profile picture, well written bio, and mostly importantly: being very active on the platform.

CM launcher
CM Launcher is a very lightweight launcher that lets you keep all your apps organized in an elegant and smooth way, while offering many other features as well.
By default, the main screen of your desktop will show your most-used apps: WhatsApp, Facebook, Settings, Camera, Google Chrome, etc. You can also pin any other app you want in this section.
The rest of the apps you have installed on your device will be organized according the their type. Utilities will go into one folder, multimedia apps into another, games in a different one, etc. Inside each, you’ll also see suggestions for other apps of the same kind that you can download.
One of CM Launcher’s strong points is that it’s very lightweight (just about 2 megabytes). Apart from its reduced size, its elegant interface also stands out, as does a good handful of other features that you can find in the notifications bar.
CM Launcher is simple and looks good. It combines an elegant look with a very reduced size and optimal performance.

ADW Launcher 2.

ADW Launcher is a launcher for Android that allows you to personalize dozens of different elements on your Android device so you can have a home screen designed in your own unique style.

When you use the application for the first time, it will display a series of options concerning practically all of the aspects of your device’s interface. You can choose the layout of your different desktop screens, the way in which you switch from one to another, the app-storage system that you use, and more.

In short, ADW Launcher basically gives you the possibility to transform the look of your Android to mimic an iPhone, a sort of Windows Phone, or a slightly modified version of a classic Android. This is all possible by tinkering with the options.

ADW Launcher is an interesting launcher that, instead of focusing on one function in particular, does a satisfactory job of covering all the bases.

Evie Launcher

Evie Launcher is designed to help you use your Android much more efficiently. Without the need for tons of ridiculous and endless setup options, Evie lets you quickly access any app you have installed on your device.
Using Evie Launcher is super easy. Sliding your finger down while you’re on the home screen opens a search box at the top of the screen. As soon as you start typing, you start receiving suggestions both for apps you have installed and for Google Search terms.
Sliding from left to right on the desktop gives you access to a pullout sidebar. In this menu, you can find the complete list of your apps, as well as the complete list of your widgets and setup options. And all this is perfectly organized.
Evie Launcher is a really great launcher. With its reduced size (slightly more than five megabytes), an elegant interface, and an extraordinary processing speed, it proves itself as an interesting alternative to any launcher you may be using.

Nairaland General26 Year Old Nigerian Becomes The Highest Paid Robotics Engineer In The World by Techcribsblog(op): 1:15am On Sep 21, 2018
A 26-year-old Nigerian, credited for building the world’s first gaming robot, Silas Adekunle, has become the highest paid in the field of robotic engineering.

PhonesWhatsapp Features That Are Quite Impressive <<read All> by Techcribsblog(op): 10:37am On Sep 16, 2018
Whatsapp as one of the best chatapp in nigeria has some updated features as listed below.

Read clear post here>>

http://techcribs.com.ng/all-whatsapp-new-features-for-year-2018/

1. Hide particular contacts from viewing your story

Stories are a great way of expressing your mood and can be quite personal. If you don’t want to share them with all WhatsApp contacts, you can prohibit particular contacts from viewing your status updates or stories as they now stand.

Go to WhatsApp settings>> Account>> Privacy

Select Status>> ‘My contacts except’

Now select specific contacts you wish to avoid and tap the tick mark below.

You can also select “Only share with” option if you wish to share status updates only with a small number of specific contacts.

2. Read messages without being given away by Blue Ticks

If you wish to read a WhatsApp message without the sender knowing, there are a couple of ways you could do that.

You can disable blue ticks altogether(Settings>>Account>>Privacy>> uncheck Read Receipts), but then you won’t be able to see if others have read your message either.

You could read the message from the notification panel. To read multiple or long messages just tap and swipe down the notification in the notification panelto stretch it. This is more suited as a temporary measure for ultimately you will have to get rid of the notification for good.

Alternately, simply turn on AirPlane mode, read the message and then turn the Air Plane mode off. This way, you can read a particular message without disabling read receipts and without the sender knowing.

3. Delete message after you have sent them

This is one feature that WhatsApp added in late 2017. The App now allows you to unsend messages that you have already sent, but there is a catch. The feature works for messages sent in the last 7 minutes only.

Also, the delete message feature will be rendered ineffective, even within the 7-minute time frame, if someone has already quoted your message.

Update: Delete message duration has been extended to 1 Hour

http://techcribs.com.ng/all-whatsapp-new-features-for-year-2018/

Long press a message

Select delete for everyone.

4. Read deleted messages on WhatsApp

There is a way to read messages that your friends have deleted from their end. Just download a notification log app and grant access to read notification. This app will keep a log of all incoming notifications and will also come in handy when you wish to retrieve a notification you have accidentally swiped off.

5. Auto answer WhatsApp messages

If you use WhatsApp for professional reasons and wish to add an automatic reply message to WhatsApp conversations, there are several apps you can use to achieve that. One app you can try is Auto Reply for WhatsApp.

We have covered ways to accomplish the same in a separate article that you can refer too.

6. Auto-suggestions for WhatsApp Messages

You can also get auto-suggestions to quicly respond to incoming WhatsApp messages directly from the notification panel.

To do so, simply download Google Reply app and set it up. We have also made a separate post explaining the process. Now everytime you get a WhatsApp message, you will have the option to directly choose from a few relevant smart replies. Since Google is powering this feature, it will only get better with time.

7. Schedule WhatsApp messages

To schedule WhatsApp messages for groups or individual contacts, you can download Scheduler app for WhatsApp. After granting it Accessibility permission, you can fill in the required fields and schedule your message.

8. Delete images or videos from a particular WhatsApp group or contact

If a particular WhatsApp group or contact is hogging storage space, you can delete messages, chats, videos, and audio from a specific WhatsApp group.

Go to Settings>> ‘Data and Storage usage’

Select ‘Storage Usage’ and you will see all groups and contacts ranked according to the storage space they are hogging.

Select the group and tap on the ‘manage messages’ option at the bottom.

Now, select and clear whatever data (videos, GIFs, Photos, etc.) that you wish to get rid of.

9. Share Live location (Real Time)

You can now share live location with your contacts. The location is updated in real time and you can keep a tab on exact whereabouts of specific contacts. You can share location for 15 minutes, 1 Hour or 8 Hours straight.

To do so, just tap the attachment icon in the text input field.

Now select ‘location’ and then select ‘Share Live Location.

10. Limit data used by WhatsApp

To restrict the data consumed by the app, this is what you need to do.

Go to settings>>Data and Storage usage

From here you can decide what all media (Photos, videos, documents, audio) the app can download while eating your data.

11. Assign different priority and sound to different notifications.

WhatsApp has added support for ‘Notification Channels’, an Android Oreo feature that can be used to set priority for different types of notifications coming from the same app.

So, you can decide if you need group messages to pop up or not. You can also assign them a priority level to determine how often they make it to the notification panel. To avail the feature, you will need Android Oreo support. If you are running Android Oreo, just go to app info page (you can also do this by long pressing app notifications) and then select manage notification option.

You can also assign a different sound to different types of notifications from here.

12. Pin conversation or make shortcuts

If you wish to keep a particular contact or conversation on top. You can simply long press the conversation and select the Pin icon in the options menu that appears on top. You can also press the triple dot menu and select create shortcut option to place the conservation shortcut on the main page.

13. Mark messages to answer later

If you have read a message but wish to answer it later, you can simply long press the conversation head in the ‘Chat’ tab and select ‘mark as unread’ option.

This won’t erase ‘Blue ticks’ or read receipts but will mark the message with a bloated green dot that will serve as a reminder. You can later answer the text at your own volition.

14. Hide a WhatsApp chat

People whom you have recently talked to appear closer to the top in your WhatsApp chat list. If you don’t want a particular conversation to be conspicuous, you can hide it as “Archive”.

Just long press the conversation and select Archive button on the top. This particular chat will now disappear from the list. You can access is by scrolling all the way to the bottom.

15. Check exactly when a particular person read your Whatsapp message

Blue ticks notify you that your message has been read, but they don’t tell you when exactly your contact read the message. Here is how you can check the same:

Long press the particular message you wish to inquire about.

Now press the ‘i’ icon in the top bar and you will see when the person read your message.

16. Mark message and easily find them later

If you wish to mark and preserve interesting or important messages (Like address, phone numbers, reference numbers, important images, etc.) that you wish to refer to later, there is a way you can do that.

Just long press a message and tap the star icon in the top menu.

You can retrieve stared messages by tapping the triple dot menu icon on the home screen.

17. Format WhatsApp Messages: Change font, Bold, italics, strikethrough

You can also format fonts of your WhatsApp messages. To do so, just long press the portion of text you wish to format after typing it in the message input field. PhonesSee All Features That Make Whatsapp The Best Chatapp by Techcribsblog(op): 4:41am On Sep 16, 2018

Now you will get the option to change format to bold, strikethrough, or italics. You can also ‘Monospace’ option to change the font.

Change phone number associated with your account.

You can manually format test as follows

*ABC* = ABC
_ABC_ = ABC
~ABC~ = ABC

18. Quote messages

To quote WhatsApp messages, just long press a text message and select the backward arrow from the top menu. You can now enter your text here.

19. Transfer files between PC and Phone using WhatsApp

You can also transfer files between PC and mobile phone using Whatsapp.

First, send the file you wish to share with any contact
Now open WhatsApp web on your PC.
From here, you can download media or other file types from the chat window to your PC. Or upload a file and then access it on your phone.

You can also email entire conversation with a contact. To do so, go to Settings>> Chat>> Chat History.

Today, in honor of World Blood Donor Day, we are launching Blood Donations on Facebook, a new center where people in Bangladesh, India and Pakistan can find opportunities to donate nearby. We are also running a campaign in these countries to raise awareness on the shortage of blood and the importance and impact of donating.
People who visit Blood Donations on Facebook can also sign up to be a blood donor to get notified directly when there is a need for blood nearby. To date, more than 11 million people have signed up and thousands of donations have been facilitated through Facebook.

Blood Donations on Facebook

We know that when donors have information and opportunities to give, they step up to help. But often donors don’t know where and when to donate. Blood Donations on Facebook shows people opportunities to donate in their city, including nearby blood donation events, requests from blood donors and blood banks. We have also made it easy for organizations to add requests and events to the center. People will be able to access Blood Donations on Facebook from the explore menu on their device.

World Blood Donor Day Campaign

In many countries, including India, blood donations are typically at their lowest during May and June. To help raise awareness of the shortage and the need for donations, we’ll be running a campaign through the month of June to encourage people to donate blood and educate people about the process of donating blood. The campaign will include stories of people who have helped saved lives using our blood donation features.

We’re also partnering with organizations across India, including the National Blood Transfusion Council, a division of India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Giants Welfare Foundation, to set up over 2,000 blood donation events on Facebook this month. These events will be featured in our new Blood Donation center.

We hope that by raising awareness and letting people know where and when they can donate, we can increase blood donations and contribute to a more sustainable blood supply.

People in Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan can go to facebook.com/blooddonations to learn more and find nearby places to donate blood. For partners interested in hosting blood camps on Facebook, go to https://donations.fb.com/blood-donation to learn more.

According to the images leaked online, the Xplay7 might also be secured with the Synaptics-powered fingerprint recognition technology. With a Snapdragon 845 SoC expected, it will be Vivo’s only phone since the Xplay6 to sport a Qualcomm flagship SoC.

Talking about the cameras, the leaks reveal a dual rear camera setup with 4X optical zoom. The phone is rumoured to sport a 4K OLED display with a 92.9 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is expected to arrive in two storage variants – 256GB and 512GB – coupled with 10GB of RAM.
