Iamgrey5:Whether Soleimani was a pain inthe neck of the US has no bearing now. He's a top military leader of one of the world's most dangerous countries. Just like ordering a strike on a North Korean military leader. It's outrageous! American interest in Iraq, Iran and Syria is plainly their resources - Oil especially. These countries are fed up with America dictating their affairs as a sovereign nation in the name of helping. Soleimani and Iran led this "mutiny" and with his killing, the US has exposed the bare truth this leaving Iraq quite disenchanted and now ordering them to LEAVE! American volunteers are fleeing Iraq, they know Trump won't save them. Well, Iran has been much developed from the 1980s and it won't be as easy as you paint it to be. Iran has strong allies. They may be small in number, but they're trusted allies. The US can't claim to have such backing because world leaders don't intend to fight a war anytime soon. They don't even like Trump. There's a reason everyone thinks Iran won't be pushovers, America has hyped itself for decades but the gap is closing swiftly. You talk about jets and jet-missles? You probably don't know about the capacity of Nuclear and Uranium weapons. Iran has. The US doesn't. |
sweerychick:Well speak your mind and don't argue like primary school kids on this subject... |
TheExecutioner:Then you can argue American military chiefs including Trump can be branded as terrorists too because they order drone strikes on these "terrorists" and end up killing the innocent too... |
Amazingman:Don't argue if you don't have enough resources to back you up. |
Good heavens! The last 4 days have been very embarrassing for me as a Nigerian, an African and a citizen of the global space. My mum always says "if you don't have enough resources to argue, don't contribute to the argument". Putting this is context, if you don't have enough resources to argue international politics, please concentrate on the politics of tribalism y'all play and stop sounding like primary school kids arguing about the US military and defence systems. Now, to correct some misconceptions, few days into the new year, Donald Trump ordered an unfortunate airstrike on Iranian military general, Qasem Souleimani - a rather brash decision in my opinion. In the face of Trump's issues with the American people, this is arguably the most terrible decision he has made since entering office. He did not order an airstrike on a "terrorist"! No. He ordered an airstrike on the military leader of one of the world's most dangerous sovereign nations currently and Iran won't take it lightly. Souleimani is highly revered in Iran after he helped the State build Nuclear weapons across the country. You can be sure the country wouldn't hesitate to order the use of this "weapon of mass destruction" if need be, thus we are all inclined to believe a "WWIII" is upon us. Iran are clearly no pushovers, Americans know that but Trump who still has the impeachment noose hanging around him seems quite ignorant of this fact. Another amusing misconception is that the US is 'temporarily domiciled' in Iraq is 'to stop Islam from spreading'. Like it, hate it, the US is in Iraq for the Oil reserves and that is the honest and simple truth. America is no "world police". South Korea, China and Russia could easily have a go at being "police of the world" if the world needed policemen. But not America. The US is no NGO. They have budgets to finance. They have to 'make extra' and to do this, they sponsor or fuel attacks and wear cloaks of "world police" and fleece countries of their resources in the name of giving help. Also, Iran isn't a poor nation. On the contrary, Iran is one of the richest countries in the world in terms of GDP per capita so comparing military weapons on the bases of budgets won't suffice. While the US has sophisticated gadgets, Iran has DEADLY weapons capable of wiping out a quarter of the world if activated. Lastly, Donald Trump should watch his back. In moments like these, your friendliest ally, could turn out to be your deadliest enemy. *Black Americans don't like him. *White Americans don't like him. The Democrats despise him. He's a pain in the ass to fellow Republicans. He sure is walking on a fine, thin line. * Apologies for my "colour profiling". Max Pepple Student, International Relations Elizade University |

Na wa o. Nigerian Church goers don't know the meaning of religous tolerance again... If Muslims talk now, it's persecution. Look at that knobhead on the first page. Sighs. |
Please oh. If I was a Liverpool fan, is there any need to pretend to be a Chelsea fan? Wetin I gain!? Bros, donvicky2007, if you want to lie to yourself, that's fine. But fact is Liverpool is a bigger club than Chelsea - history, trophies, even presently! "Chelsea has standard". I'm sure he went "on loan" to Man City at the beginning of the season only to return now to talk trash. Plastics ehn! Lampard is doing fine - without spending a dime compared to Arsenal and United. Transfer ban. Losing your best player and using youth. If you think using youth is easy, ask Pep how well he's doing with Foden and Garcia. Nonsense! |
... |
Mtcheeeeew. Lampard please continue. Don't listen to those who have been supporting the Club coz of the trophies won... True Blues who know the history and situation of the Club are behind you #ChelseaMan. |
donvicky2007:STFU plastic. Which standard? Because we've won a few trophies. When Liverpool were winning their last league title, we were just coming back from relegation so just hold your side. Football didn't start 10 or 20 years ago! Chelsea is an English club with an Englishman as coach and with English players. If you don't like it, support Enyimba. |
Chelsea fans. Ungrateful wretches. Can't believe I share the same club with these people. Well na 2012 Champions League I blame... |
Pastor defiles minor Pastor rapes young teen Pastor sexually abuses member Pastor kills 3-year old Pastor steals Lexus SUV from car dealer Pastor guarded by 7 hefty men on the alter of God Pastor wants to build church as big as Ibadan Pastor makes sexual advances at young member Pastor masturbates during deliverance of female member Pastor caught raping minor ... Davash222:Nope. But like I wrote, I can't help it. That's why I asked if she's making a mistake. Her 'uniqueness' always ends badly. This is her life so she can't afford to make mistakes. Ah ahn, bros! |

Good day Nairalanders! So I have a friend (sort of crush) who is in her late teens right now and will enter uni next year. Happens that we were able to hang out yesterday after being apart for a while. In the course of our discussions, I asked her the uni she wants to attend and she gave me an answer I really didn't expect though deep down, I knew I shouldn't have been surpised. She always liked to be 'unique' though it always doesn't end well for her and it is one of the reasons I didn't further our friendship coz I hate surprises but I still care about her. Bells University? Wtf?! I didn't even know it ever existed. I was expecting maybe a 'Covenant' or 'Babcock' (Stop it. I know what you're thinking...) I know it's not my business to be worried but I can't help it. I googled it up but I couldn't find any reviews. Anyone who attended Bells? How is the school like? An advice? No malice or slander intended... |
This man will live long. I don see am! |
I'm c*mming. I'll buy it later but I'm under durex right now... |
This particular yuletide season has seen a lot of companies and SMEs showcase their creativity while advertising their goods and services repeatedly over different Radio and TV stations all over the country. Which ad have you heard or seen on radio, TV or the internet do you regard as the most creative this christmas season? Maggi's 'The 12 days of Christmas' stands out for me... What about you? |

Yohans:Really? When was it changed? |
Ilovebigboobs:Lampard's hands are tied and he can't sign big players in January coz of UEFA's rule in registering players twice. Las las na Zaha and Ake Chelsea fit buy for January... |
Chelsea are in serious sh*t this season. For those calling for Lampard to sign Sancho, Werner and Koulibaly, forget it. Dortmund, Leipzig and Napoli won't sell their big players in January coupled with the fact that they are all in the UCL R16. Since Chelsea dodged the transfer ban, they can't dodge UEFA's rule of registering the same player, twice in the same competition. So no Sancho, no Koulibaly, no Werner, no Dembele, no Ziyech. Y'all will manage Zaha by force... |
But ALL the borders in the South are closed while the ones in the North are open. The states of the South-South and South-West are the only ones in Nigeria which can be accessed through the creeks and Waterways. Sighs. I really wish my people would stop associating with illiterates from the 'yeast'. We are too smart to be dragged into Biafla. |
If they scam this one now, he'll turn preacher... If it's iPhone 8 he wants or can afford, let him be. It's his CHOICE! Nigerians ehn... |
