Oracle is accusing google of using its line of code to build android OS, though Google and Oracle has been battling in court for some time now, started since 2012 and now the case is getting even more complicated.

in Arstechnica post, Google uses Java API to build the android OS, what that mean, but oracle says this infringes on its copyright. Oracle lawyer Peter Bicks earlier today in court said:

You don’t take people’s property without permission and use it for your own benefit. Google took a shortcut, and they took a shortcut at Oracle’s expense.

Though Java was developed by Sun Microsystems in 1991 which was later acquired by Oracle in 2010. In 2012 a presiding judge ruled that Java API could not be copyrighted as claim by oracle and later in 2014 the district court ruling was reversed by federal circuit, Now Oracle seek $8.8 billion for damages.

According to oracle lawyer, Google stole 11,500 lines of code to build the android OS without permission or sort of partnership, below is the exacts words:

They copied 11,500 lines of code. It’s undisputed. They took the code, they copied it, and put it right into Android.

Google intentionally ignored the option to get licence from Oracle to use Java API, when a mail was sent to Google by engineer Tim Lindholm of Oracle to Android chief Andy Rubin showing what Google should have done before now. below his what contains in the email:

What we’ve actually been asked to do (by Larry and Sergei) is to investigate what technical alternatives exist to Java for Android and Chrome. We’ve been over a bunch of these and think they all suck. We conclude that we need to negotiate a license for Java.

Though Google Java programming language and API since 2008 to 2015 has made $42 billion in gross revenue. Whether Oracle will be in favor of this lawsuit or not, its something to watch out for despite the fact that the allegations levy against Google is really huge.

WhatApp this year introduced end-to-end encryption in which all messages, calls are encrypted, they made us know that neither company nor any governments can have access to it.

Of recent a judge in Brazil order WhatApp to hand over message records to what was related to an ongoing drug investigation. The company refuse to comply with the order, because the company themselves don't have access to individual chat logs because of this the judge order that every telecommunication in the country to block WhatApp, in order to punish the company. which means that all Brazil folks can't use the WhatApp service.

According to TechCrunch, The judge also warns that any Telecommunication company who fail to block the service will be penalize with a fine accordingly.

Having said that, this outage is said to last 72 Hours. As a result of this another company Telegram is taking advantage of this because almost all Brazil folks has now switch to Telegram - another WhatApp like messaging app.

News has been reaching us that a man was found dead in Apple Headquarter in Cupertino, California. Nether Apple nor the local Law Enforcement Authorities has commented on the issue yet but ABC7 News TV reporter in San Jose, Matt Keller says the decease was a man and a gun was located near his body.

Matt Keller also report that a sheriff spokesperson said the deceased was an Apple employee. Right now police are on the scene. San Jose Mercury News says local fire unit was called to the scene but later left.

Just as WhatsApp, Viber is rolling out end-to-end encryption for all conversions on its platform, the company yesterday in a Blog post announced that over more than 700 million people can now communicate securely on the messaging service.

Viber was acquired by a Japanese company Rakuten in 2014, since the purchase the app has received huge increase, high adaption, with a growth rate of 67%.

The encryption applies to one on one messages, calls, and group conversations. Though, apart from the default encryptions users can also manually encrypt contacts which will be indicated with a green padlock, a red padlock denote a problem in authentications, which mean your conversation is not safe or has been monitored , and attacked by a third party.
