If Kounde still has that technique, awareness and solidity expected of a CB. Then, Cancelo's loan Is a very good tactical option to help squad depth.

Kounde can't play as a CB, that would be disastrous.

Just like Rashford needs to take lessons from Raphinha on how to press, Raphinha also needs to take lessons from Rashford on how to take advantage of our counter attacks.


There's a reason Rashford has a lot of assists. He definitely wouldn't have misplaced all those passes that Raphinha did during our counter attacks. Raphinha needs to work on his decision making in the final third.

We don't play 3ATB in that sense. Cucu joins the midfield alot, Gusto goes forward on the Right, the left side is occupied by the LWF. This isn't a 3ATB formation.

Well I get the issue is the two flangs.

3 CBs gives us more defensive control and I see nothing wrong with that... And don't forget the 3 attackers would come back to help in midfield and the flangs while drifting into opponent box at same time.

3ATB is a very rigorous formation that requires work horses at RWB and LWB for it to properly work. It's no surprising that no top team is using it. By top team I mean a UCL contender. It's an emergency formation that can be used when chasing a game. Even Conte is no more using it like that. He won the league last season mostly with 433/4231 formation.

Inter used it and got steamroled in the UCL final. Spurs used it last week Vs PSG and collected 5. Amorim is using it and united dey gba. It's not a bad formation but it requires elite full backs with pace, stamina and good crossing. Una no get that kind profile except Balde.

Chelsea uses 3 4 3 if m not mistaken.

It's a good formation if you ask me just that too much pressure at the left and right wing.

Garcia and Balde can do that.

Chelsea uses the 3 4 3 formation and it helps them alot.

In attack the 4 mid players go forward and in defence they come back.

So you have 7 players attacking and 7 players defending.

This is the reason Chelsea hardly concedes.. and also very good at attacking.

4231 who leaves two CBs at the back who are always overlapping would not help us. Would make us concede at our times.

Don't forget that flick made his name as a coach with 4231 formation, so your 343 takes away a number 10 hence eliminating Olomo who's somewhat back to form. There's no way he'll change it today against the most informed team in Laliga.

He may try it out in Copa Del Rey games though because drilling a new tactics is not an easy job.

This will pull Lamine away from the side, towards the middle and closer to the goal.

There's no way the 3 attackers would be charging at you without you conceding no way.
The 3 attackers would also come to midfield to lift the burden off the two midfielders.

I choose Gavi who is injured in the middle because the two midfielders would have to be very strong physically.

I don't care about olmo or any no 10..
It's A Good formation all way round.
