I had to rewatch the second goal in slow motion and gosh. Balde, like Kounde may be done at top level football. The way he ran back in a straight line was genuinely hilarious, that's segunda level defensive awareness. He was completely oblivious to where the runners were. People keep talking about his 1vs1 but I keep telling them that 1vs1 is one aspect of defending. The goal conceded is what you get if you lack defensive awareness. Espart, Eric Garcia and even Pasquer woulved done better in that situation.

If you observe closely, you'll notice that he actually spotted the run of Camavinga but still kept running straight towards the corner instead of tracking him. At that point, I completely understood why Dela Fuente and Flick simply doesn't rate him. He thinks football is about running up and down like a slain chicken.

Another player who was a huge disappointment was Rodri. He just stood there like a cone. There's no way you're scoring that on Busquet who wasn't as mobile or as physically imposing. I genuinely don't understand why he just stopped. Was he tired? Or did he contract the Dejong virus? Because the Rodri i know is usually very defensively aware.

Balde needs a loan in Elche or Ipwich town. Right now, he's an otu full back. Pace merchant.

I wouldn't entirely blame Balde for the second goal.

That second goal was not supposed to happen but something is wrong with our players upstairs.

Balde's problem is excessive overlapping, going forward too much, I love Balde but I must still say the truth.
And the coach still needs to talk sense into him.

Balde saw the run, he would have slide to intercept the ball that was his mistake, but then Cubarsi was covering Balde up, so I guessed he left camavinga for Cubarsi.
You can see he was chasing Camavinga from the Back.

But then Rodri stood there like a log of wood and watch camavinga run passed his front, he literally saw camavinga making the run from take off, what happened to chaising him or bringing him down and collect yellow, if at all.

Our defenders needs to wise up.

I wouldn't blame Balde for that goal. I blame Rodri then Cubarsi.

Rodri is not good all he does is sideways passes and short passes.

You never see Rodri moving the ball forward or running with it, all he does is sideways short passes in the name of retaining possession or controlling midfield.

When De Jong came you see how he was taking the ball forward, even Pedri.

Pass to Rodri and he passes to another person. Nothing Spectacular.

Watch Rodri closely in our game on Saturday and see what I am saying.

Of course, I am not saying that losing yesterday guaranteed we would win on Sunday. However, from the lineup and subs Hansi Flick did, you could see the thinking behind everything. There was no way we could win away at Galatasary in Istanbul, away at Betis, away at PSG and still win el classico, all in a space of 12 days. Not possible for any team not named PSG.

Yes of course, it is a shame to lose to PSG but winning that match would have meant we ran alot and exerted more stress than necessary. You can see how many players that got injured in that match alone. 4 players with Kvaratskhelia out with ACL.

The matches are coming thick and fast. You can't win it all. You have to prioritise and losing to PSG will not make us not to qualify from the group phase. I also heard that Gerard Martin played that game with injury.

For me, I am looking at the bigger picture. Nothing will be won and lost in October. April 2027 is the crunch moment.

I would have rather we won against PSG and lost to Madrid today. Honestly...

Dejong played his best football at barca as a libero under Ronald Koeman in a 3 at the back system. He'll do better as a CB for barca. In another club, he'll go back to midfield.

But if Flick wants to win the big ears, Dejong should be playing only Copa. He's an otu player.

Barca is looking like a well oiled machine, wait till he returns and integrated into the team. Dejung drains team energy and the same thing I said last season will play out again. Nah otu player.

Hansi Flick would have to alternate one of pedri and rodri for De jong.

Playing De jong as a CB is resipe for disaster.
