If you watch Lamine, he doesn't take on players as regularly as he normally would since he returned from injury. He hasn't suddenly lost the ability to dribble, but he's taking his time to get back to the rhythm.

As a fan, you have to support him as he recovers his best form. Not to sit back and criticise him unfairly.

What I think should happen going forward is
Araujo should regain his place whether passing prowess or not, cubarsi and Eric are a weak pairing, no recovery pace for the highline and somewhat error prone, araujo and Chris are our best CB pairing but injuries especially to the latter make us hardly see it, I love cubarsi and I believe he can be our next pique or puyol but he needs to chop bench small
Kounde should rest for Eric at that RB till we get the space to get a more offensive at that position to compete with him, maybe it's fatigue that's worrying him
Yamal has to get back in form as soon as possible, it's not only El clasico he was poor in, he was poor in the psg, girona and olympiacos game (just coming back from injury is also to blame) even vini was taunting him that he was just giving back passes, this is someone that has made a career off torturing the opposition's defences right from when was at lamasia, he'll be back even the haters know that but we have to do all we can to make it sooner
Ferran should chop bench for rashford sometimes when everyone is bad and fit even the rashford is not that spectacular anymore but at least he's trying to impress and can occasionally drop goals and assists on a bad day

My observation is that Flick doesn't want to give continuity to a player who's prone to injuries and try to develop and focus on what's available in Curbasi, Eric and Araujo. This is the most important game for now and he's not available to play. You can't build the defence around this kind of "NEPA" player at this level.


On what I think, It's the elsclasico. It's beyond tactics, form and home advantage even though they're equally important. It's always about hate, passion, and who wants it more.

The players Barca will Absolutely miss in my opinion are the goal keeper(J.Garcia) and Raphinha. I think Lewy at this point is a substitute and I'm pretty sure watching Kounde in the past few games, his reported injury could well be advantage Barca because he's been wobbly for some time now. Most will prefer Garcia at RB right now.

Olmo is not entirely bad, and if he is around..he provides an option in attack.
