Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Vivo made headline at the International Consumer Electronics Show holding in Las Vegas when its introduced the world's first In-Display optical fingerprint scanning smartphone. For those who do not understand what it means, I will explain. The smartphone showcased by Vivo is the world's first phone with a fingerprint scanner built into the display.

Speaking at the event, Senior Vice President of Vivo, Alex Feng said:

With our efforts in extensive consumer research and long-term R & D investment, Vivo is well positioned to pioneer the development of fingerprint scanning technology. We first presented a prototype of our fingerprint scanning solution at MWC Shanghai 2017 based on an ultrasonic sensor, and have remained committed to realizing our vision for future smartphones.

Today’s showcase of a ready-to-produce in-display fingerprint scanning smartphone featuring an optical fingerprint sensor is a big leap forward in bringing consumers this long-awaited, futuristic mobile experience. We are very excited to make it available to consumers soon.

The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is one of the world's largest trade fairs for consumer electronics, which is held annually in Las Vegas. The show is a 4 day event and this year's edition is taking place from Tuesday, 09. January to Friday, 12. January 2018.

Huawei is reportedly working to unveil three P-series smartphones featuring triple cameras. The new smartphones known as P20, P20 Plus and P20 Pro are expected to be unveiled this years.

According to specifications, the P20 and P20 Plus may be coming with a Kirin 970 processor, while the P20 Pro may features the newer Kirin 975 chipset. The smartphones being a high-end smartphone may likely feature a 6GB of RAM and a minimum of 64GB storage.

The specs shows the P20 rocking its cameras horizontally while the P20 Plus vertically stacked to the left, and the P20 Pro vertically stacked in centre.

Although not much is known about the device but we may likely see the three smartphones being unveiled at MWC in February. We will update you on the new device.

The only reason why Amazon wanna launch a YouTube competitior is because by 1st of next year, YouTube will exit Amazon products. It's not Google's fault tho, Amazon started all this mess when they stopped selling Google products in their stores because of theirs and Google fought back with this.

Amazon has reportedly filed two trademarks requests namely “Amazontube” and “Opentube” after search engine giant Google, pulled YouTube from its Echo device. Describing both Amazontube or Opentube as providers of “non-downloadable pre-recorded audio, visual and audiovisual works via wireless networks”, according to Amazon users can share content, photos videos, text, data, images, other electronic works, gaming, dance, fashion, and tech via the medium.

The online retail giant and the second-largest private employer of labour in the US has gone further to register a series of domain names which include, AlexaOpenTube.com, AmazonAlexaTube.com, and AmazonOpenTube.com in preparation for the launch. Although the company has not officially announced this to the public but we hope to see how this plays out.

Echo Show is an Alexa-powered device that includes a screen which brings YouTube videos to millions for users until Google decided to end support for the device.

Google said that it will roll out a native adblocker by 2018 that will help block annoying ads. According to the search engine giant, the adblocker will be rolled out to all compatible operating systems starting February 15th, 2018, in line with the Coalition for Better Ads guidelines.

It said this browser, Chrome will be remove all ads from sites that have a “failing” status in the Ad Experience Report for more than 30 days. It however, noted that site owners can submit their site for re-review once the violations have been fixed.

Ads to be affected includes, pop-up ads, prestitial ads, ads with a density greater than 30%, flashing animated ads, auto-play video ads with sound, poststitial ads with a countdown, full-screen scrollover ads, and large sticky ads. The service will start rolling out to Desktop and mobile device in Europe and North America.

Glad she use the platform to talk about the slave trade issue happening in Libya. Our people should learn to respect each other if we want other race to respect us. We should stop lynching people in the street as if they are animals or treating those accused of witchcraft when there is no scientific proof. The issue of tribal sentiment and religion should be properly addressed. If we learn to respect our race and behave civilized, then the world will see and respect us for who we are. A lot of hatred toward blacks is because a lot of us feel inferior to other race. They have heard this and are starting to act on it.

Founder and former CEO of LeEco Mr. Jia Yueting, has been added to the blacklist of debt defaulters in China. Mr. Yueting failed to settle the debt of around $72 million to owed to the Ping An Securities Group, an investment company that belongs to China’s second-largest insurer. His name is now listed among other debt defaulters on shixin.court.gov.cn and can easily be seen by anyone due to his popularity. Also included in the list are the two subsidiaries LeEco, LeShi Holding and LeShi Yidong.

In 2013, China’s Supreme Court started making name of debt defaulters public in order to shame them. As part of their punishment, those found on the list are ban from travelling by airplane or use first-class service on bullet trains in China. Also they are ban from using other luxuries such as premium hotels and golf courses. The are not allowed to invest in properties and their children are barred from studying at private schools.

Yueting had a net worth of $6 billion two years ago, but it has reportedly fallen to $3.8 billion in March this year.

HMD Global has officially confirmed that their will be releasing a High-end variant of its Nokia 8 device. The was made known according to a report from Germany.
