Business / Youths Raising Funds For Businesses by TEE316: 3:32pm On Mar 09, 2018
A research carried out in 2016 indicated that 15.2 million youths are unemployed which is actually disheartening. However, this negative figure can be turned to positive if we work together and assist one another.

Youths can collaborate and do something for themselves. we don't have to always depend on the government for everything.

Literature / Don't Work Hard.... Work Intelligently by TEE316: 11:42am On Sep 08, 2017
Working hard entails going through the normal struggles and procedures of getting things done. You simply do as others do without any effort to improve on the procedures or seek more convenient ways of getting it done. Many people fall into this category in life. They keep repeating what others they met have been doing and the circle goes on and on.

However, working hard will only leave one at the average level with little strength and every to think and do other things that can raise one's level. When you work intelligently, you will be done with your task and start doing other things when others are still busy sticking to the daily routine.

Although, this might not be applicable to some profession.  But the message is, in all you do apply wisdom.  Think of better ways on improving what you met. You have the capacity to do that only if you look closely and think intelligently.

Crime / Serious!!! Nurse Kills Over 90 Patients Out Of “boredom” by TEE316: 10:32am On Aug 29, 2017
A 40-year-old male nurse, Niels Hoegel, who was jailed for life two years ago for killing two hospital patients with lethal drug overdoses, has murdered at least 90 patients in total.
The police said it’s possible he has killed over 180 patients and described the situation as post-war Germany’s worst killing spree.
Hoegel, a nurse at Delmenhorst hospital, Bremen, Germany, was jailed in February 2015 for two murders and four counts of attempted murder or causing bodily harm on intensive-care patients.
Police said Monday that forensics experts had since exhumed and analyzed more than 130 additional bodies and had found evidence of a vastly higher death toll at two hospitals where Hoegel had worked between 1999 and 2005.

Crime / Re: Should Parents And The Community Be Blamed For Drug Abuse? by TEE316: 3:57pm On Aug 28, 2017
Well my thought is that parents should closely monitor their wards. Some of this changes in behaviour and habits are obvious but the parents are too busy making money some cases. Like you rightly said peer pressure is a very powerful force that can ruin or mould a child to be great. Parents should watch who their children mingle with. Lastly the community should not mind their business when they find someone abusing drugs. If it's someone you know, call the attention of the parents. Honestly being hooked on drugs makes youths more miserable and useless.
Crime / Should Parents And The Community Be Blamed For Drug Abuse? by TEE316: 3:41pm On Aug 28, 2017
The alarming rate of drugs abuse in the society seriously need to be addressed so as to avoid having youths hooked on drugs. It spells doom for the future if those to move the nation forward cannot have a sane mind to think. This campaign is not for the government alone. Parents, the community and religious institutions has a great role to play.

Senator Gbenga Ashafa has said that parents as well as the community should be blamed for the high rate of drug abuse among young people.

In a statement issued by the Senator on Monday, he advocated community-based approach as the best way to fight drug abuse among youths in Nigeria.
Speaking at a sensitisation march against drug abuse, the Lagos East Senator again expressed concern over the increased rate of drug abuse among youngsters.

The judge, Mr Albert Maga, sentenced the convict after he pleaded guilty to the crime and begged for leniency.

Health / Can Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Make You Gain Weight? by TEE316: 2:37pm On Aug 28, 2017
Most conversations with your doctor about polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), tend to focus on menstrual irregularity, including missed periods and/or heavy periods. But, women with PCOS face other problems, too — and a big one is weight gain.
It’s not clear whether PCOS is a direct cause of the extra pounds many women with PCOS carry. According to fertility specialist Julie Tantibhedhyangkul, MD, a link does exist, however.
“Experts think a combination of genetic predisposition and environmental factors, including diet, exercise and lifestyle, contribute to the PCOS symptoms,” she says.
PCOS affects about 5 million American women (between 5 and 10 percent of women), with symptoms appearing as early as age 11.
Knowing how it can impact your weight can help motivate you to take control of it and other health issues, including diabetes, she says.
Signs and diagnosis

PCOS occurs when your hormones are out of balance. Women with PCOS make slightly more male hormone (androgen) than normal.

Literature / Mirrior Behaviour... by TEE316: 1:07pm On Aug 27, 2017
The mirror is a reflection of the person standing in front of it. It never lies and tells you exactly how you look. The reflection is raw without any effect or editing and I would love to relate the reflection to one's behavior or character. You see what you see in others is a reflection of your true self.

For example,  a Randy man will always be suspicious and apprehensive whenever his woman is away alone or stayed a little late due to traffic or other circumstances. His thoughts will be  "who is she with " "what could she be doing now " "is she cheating on me"... All those thoughts are the things you are capable of doing and that's why you are seeing them in her. You see yourself in others.

Health / Insomnia: Your 3 Worst Ways And 3 Best Ways To Fall Asleep .... by TEE316: 11:57am On Aug 27, 2017
Have trouble falling asleep? Wake up at 3 a.m. for no reason? Insomnia can rob you of energy the next day, fog your thinking and put you in harm’s way on the road.
If you’re relying on common crutches for sleeplessness, they won’t help your cause. Here, our sleep experts share their favorite and least favorite remedies for insomnia:
The 3 worst ways to get to sleep

1. Have a  ‘nightcap’ before bed

Do you unwind with a glass of wine or a scotch and soda before bed?
“The literature shows that alcohol is the most abused drug for insomniacs,” says Nancy Foldvary-Schaefer, DO, MS “It’s the single worst remedy you can use.”
Adds Michelle Drerup, MD, “Drinking alcohol may make you feel drowsy. But as it wears off, it fragments the natural stages of sleep.”
Despite alcohol’s quickly sedating effect, when it’s metabolized a few hours later, it causes recurrent awakenings. Your deepest stage of sleep — REM (rapid eye movement) — is suppressed.
Drinking alcohol near bedtime may also worsen snoring and sleep apnea.

Health / Osteoarthritis by TEE316: 8:50am On Aug 25, 2017
Osteoarthritis is also referred to as degenerative joint disease. It is a disease that can affect any joint like; knees, hips,  lower back and neck, small joint of the fingers and the bases of the thump and big toe.

The condition is triggered as a result of the break down of the cartilage covers.  The cartilage is a rubbery material which covers the end of each bone. When the cartilage breaks down, it cause pains, swelling and problems moving the joint. If the condition worsens, bones may break down and develop into spurs. Here bits of the bone or cartilage may chip off and float around in the joint. At the final stage, the cartilage wears away and bone rubs against bone leading to joint damage and more pain.

Nevertheless, this disease occurs in people of all ages, but more common in people older than 65 as the case may be.  The common risk factors include  age,  obesity,  previous joint injury, overuse of joint,  weak thigh muscles.....

Literature / Can You Sue Your Parents For Being Ugly???? by TEE316: 8:18am On Aug 25, 2017
I came across a funny story where a 44year old lady is suing her parent because she is ugly and feels it's the reason for her failed marriages. She said her first husband get nauseous seeing her face every morning that  he sometimes had to run to the toilet to puke. Her last husband was technically blind and after his sight was corrected, he divorced her the following week. Her submission was that the parents should have not copulate to produce off spring since they knew they were ugly.

Very laughable indeed because I think those people obviously married her for the wrong reasons. Or better still, she has a terrible character which she's displaying already by suing her parent.  I came across a picture of a super model who had fire accident. The accident damaged her looks but her lover stayed with her right from the hospital bed and he's still with her to date. That  I call love. Another case is that of an obsessed woman who could hardly walk so she intend to undergo surgery to reduce the fats in her body . Yes she has a husband who didn't leave her.

So why is your case different woman?  You are not sick,  no burnt face or any terrible experience that disfigured you.  Yet you are complaining.  The matter is people fail to critically examine themselves when things go wrong.

Literature / Mindset... by TEE316: 7:14am On Aug 25, 2017
Ones mindset has a crucial role to play in their thoughts and actions. What people display outwardly has been sealed and settled from the inside. This brings me to the things running through the mind of an average Nigerian Youth. The idea is go to university, get a degree which will pave way for a nice job either with the government or a juicy organisation.

However if this mindset is altered by reality, confusion sets in and frustration is on the rise.  Just like writing jamb severally to gain admission, you apply to multiple organisations, write alot aptitude test, some get lucky while some don't.  In all these efforts and struggle, very few consider coming up with a creative idea or inventing something.  This only makes me to wonder how our mind is wired in this part of the world.

Romance / Why Does One's Ex Insist On Him Attending Her Wedding?????? by TEE316: 8:04am On May 01, 2016
This is an issue I have observed closely and I would really love the ladies in this section to let us know the reason why they mostly insist that their Ex attends their wedding. Though I see it as no big deal but on a second thought their reaction is sometimes funny if someone eventually misses the wedding may be due to some official engagement or circumstances beyond his control. This calls for scepticism on my part. So ladies I would really love to know.
