"Stop disturbing us with this type of question".
Was that really necessary to proof a point?...what happened to a simple response like asking me to read up from part 1.
Some pple do need to learn to choose the right words especially on platforms like this.

Congratulations on ur successful visa application..meanwhile, I want to follow in your line of application by stating the real purpose of my visit. I am just abt 7 weeks...and intend to do paper application.. I hope to get an invite from a doctor friend...pls I need a sample of your Letter of introduction where d purpose of visit is stated as I want to be clear as possible. I aslo have a valid US visa and I ve travelled with my family once, but I intend to ve my baby in Canada.

If you also don't mind....can u pls list the other items you added to you letter that can help convince the VO of my return back to Nigeria.

Kindly help a sis.

Virt:
I just got my visa today. Thanks to the advise I received from this thread. I indicated in my letter of introduction that I intend to give birth there and showed family ties back home, bank statement, air ticket (provisional), and also stated the address of the friend I intend to stay with.

I am yet to make a choice of the hospital to use, I heard Toronto is much cheaper than other cities, pls can you advise on which hospital and Gynae to contact. I need to start making arrangements as soon as possible.

Thanks for your prompt response.

Thanks a lot...pls a quick one...can I submit a notification of result for assessment as I am yet to collect my MBA certificate.(school is even on strike at d moment)..

Also, can one use banking experience to apply as an accountant? I want to be sure my experience before proceeding.

Bimpsy99:
Hi
CPA and other accountant assessing bodies will accept your ACCA membership and equate it to bsc. That way u may not need the MBA assessed since it doesn't confer additional points.

Please note that your relevant work experience (for points sake) can only start counting from the date u became an ACCA member (not affiliate) because your Bsc in Agric isn't relevant in this regard but you may still want to submit it.

You can consider your best option and what other assessing bodies your MBA will be most beneficial cos Accountant is highly competitive. You may need to have 20 points in English to be better positioned.

All the best.

If I submit and assess my agric degree..i definitely wont ve any work experience to support it as all my 10yrs experiences are in banking....will my MBA degree alone be sufficient to use as a qualification?..all the assessing authorities dont assess professional qualifications..if not i would ve my ACCA certificate assessed too.pls anyone in finance field should advice...will my MBA degree be enof to proceed as accountant (general)

cuteannie02:

It basically depends on the kind of visa u r applying for, kindly read the thread from the beginning and try to provide more information about your application.

Thanks for response...would I be able to get a job and practise as a banker if I am eventually granted a PR bearing in mind that I was granted being an agric consulatant.?

cuteannie02:

Hi, concerning ielts, u can use general, I used the same. As per your profession, ur course of study relates to agric consultant or scientists however study both job description to see the one that relates more to ur study, you need work experience relating to ur course if you assess with VETASSES (most likely cos they are the only ones assessing agric consultants). However I wouldn't know if you can use ur MBA instead since it is related to banking. The ppl in the field can shed more light. U can check d csol for professions relating to banking and read up their requirements. My one cent.

I am a graduate of agric- econs & ext...with a MBA, but I recently qualified as an accountant with 10 yrs banking experience. Am really confused abt the occupation to nominate.....although I have been considering the accountant profession....but I don't have any degree in that field....the SOL job list does not even have any banking related occupation....if i assess my Btech in agric and MBa,...will i ve a good advantage if i also asses my banking experience of 10yrs?...I really need help in making a decision. Pls advise

Thank u dupyshoo, really appreciate ur prompt response..,....I am 35yrs old and 10 years experience in banking....am yet to receive my ielts result..I just want to weight my chances..against Australia. Due to my conflicting qualification and work experience....I am looking at nominating a job where I have my work experince...which is financial managers...

dupyshoo:
You don't need to assess your work experience for Canada PR unlike Australia PR. You are only required to evaluate your academic qualifications.

Since you have MBA and BSc, you stand a good chance if you are less than 29 year old and have good IELTS score.

What you need to do now is to evaluate your BSc and MBA using either WES Canada or IQAS. If you take time to read from Page 0, you will get a good understanding of the whole process.

What area is your work experience? You need to find a suitable NOC code that perfectly describes your work experience.
