i started running my account in may for a tier 2 partner and child visa and so far the exchange rate has been favourable but today it fell from 3k plus as at tuesday to 2k plus making it about 50 pounds bellow the expected balance.

PLs i need advice on what to do because i still have another 40 DAYS TO GO BEFORE APPLICATION.

And can my hubby who is already in the UK get letter of financial support from his sponsor for us to use instead of running an account?

You will only need to have WES done if you want to increase your score. If your CRS score is less than 450 then it's advisable to have WES done as that can add
up to 10 points to your score that is of course if your husband is the principal applicant.

thanks @ zandora,
please can we calculate our CRS before submitting our profile and if yes, how?

I picked up our visa (baby and I) today at ikeja

Application submitted 6 July
Appointment 9 July (no interview)
Received by UKVI 16 July

Apology from UKVI and forwarded for decision 24 July

One more question please,
what is the cost of the ECA service
Travel / Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by teegirl2810: 12:35am On Jul 27, 2015
zandora:

There are several designated ECA bodies but personally I believe the best is WES. Simply go to their site (see link below) register, pay the fees then go to your school and ask them to please send a copy of your sealed transcript to WES. You also need to download a form from the WES website for your school to complete, sign, stamp and send along with the transcript. Furthermore you need to separately send a copy (not original) of your degree certificate to WES yourself.

http://www.wes.org/ca/fswp/

Don't forget that all correspondences sent to WES must include your WES application number which would be provided to you after you've made your payment. Just to recap, the documents you need to send to WES are your transcript and WES form (sent by the school) and a copy of your degree certificate (sent yourself). On receipt of these documents WES will then contact your school via email to verify the transcript and after successful verification assess your qualification. Hope this helps.

Thanks alot @ zandora

Dear Madam,

Following the email sent earlier on the Immigration health surcharge, find attached the withdrawal form. Kindly complete and return back to us.

You must now make your request on line for refunds using www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk After logging into your on line application, please press the Refund button and go through the process; you will receive an acknowledgement to show that your refund request has been received.

Thank you,

I have done as they requested but now I can't access my application and can't even proceed to pay for the ihs....help

My advice is that you pay the £150 get your visa then ask questions later and if they realize that you were not supposed to pay then you can ask for a refund.
I have been trying all day to pay for the ihs but the webpage keeps going back and I can't access my applications anymore.
Does anyone know how else to proceed, I have few days left ...

"made to understand" by who?
If they have asked you to pay first then this is what you must do.

While filling the online application, It was not requested and at teleperformace office i was told i dont have to since i don't plan to stay up to 6 months

I just got a mail from UKVI advising that I withdraw my application because I didn't pay the health surcharge.
I didn't pay the health surcharge because I was made to understand that I don't have to since I will b visiting my tier 4 spouse for just 4 months
Please I need urgent advice on how to proceed
