Two suspected armed robbers met their end early hours of yesterday at Opolo Community in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, after angry mob landed them with instant jungle justice.

According to the eyewitness, a Facebook user identified as Alhaji Samuel Young, who identified one of the deceased as Abobo Ebimobowei, said the suspects were caught by the people and beaten to death with stones after they were spotted trying to rob mobile phones from a kekenapep with locally made pistol.


Meanwhile, another lady identified as Patricia Akpotu also shared her mother’s ordeal in the hands of these very same boys who were said to be terrorizing the citizens of the state.

The Nigerian military barracks in Magadisu cantonment was thrown into chaos when a drunk soldier shot his fellow soldier over an argument on his alarming alcohol consumption rate.

According to our source, whose identity has been kept under anonymity, the soldier on uniform was granted a break, only for him to return heavily drunk.

The soldier on mufti being guard commander confronted him (soldier on uniform) and asked him to change up for duty. The drunk soldier went in, changed into his uniform, picked up his rifle, came back out and shot the guard commander.

Then he short himself but missed his own head and shot his mouth rather. Explaining the incident to TeeGist, our source said:

“Hmm can’t be more shock like the news I got this evening, One 11NA shot His Guard commander to death a 99NA who happens to be my formal Chairman in Saint Ciciliar Choir in Magadisu cantonment this evening, we just left his house now and his wife was really down i pray God give the family the strength to carry on and may God help us in this military were brother now kill a brother”.

“This just happened life in my barracks……The one on uniform was permitted to go on break but came back at his own time drunk..When the guard commander tried talking to him about his drinking habit, he became rude and the guard commander told him to go and dress up to take over duty till dawn as punishment…. The soldier went in, dress up, came out with his rifle and open fire on the guard commander……The tried using the last bullet in himself through his throat, the muzzle shifted and fired one syd of his mouth…….We don’t know if he’s still alive!!!!! �”.

Tension is rising on Instagram as the organizers of Miss Reliable Nigeria beauty pageant have called out popular comedian Kelvin Sapp to refund a sum of N50,000 that was paid upfront to him, for his appearance in this year’s edition of the beauty pageant which he would not be honoring anymore due to a misunderstanding between the brand owners and himself.

According to the reports from Miss Reliable Nigeria representative, the comedian claimed to have made a refund to back to them, however, the account the refund went made to with the name Asuquo Felix in sterling bank has no link whatsoever with the brand in question.

About four innocent civilians including a mother and her few months old baby in Oluasiri community, Nembe Local Government area of Bayelsa state, have been reported dead in what the occupants of the community described to be an invasion by the Nigerian military, at the early hours of yesterday 7th June.

This was contained in a joint statement made available to source signed by the President of Oluasiri Development Union, Deacon Gamage Difurotogu, and the President of Oluasiri Youth Federation, Kienworio Tanga.

The statement described the incident as "reckless and nefarious" the wanton invasion of Ben-Ama and Tengele-Ama by the Nigerian Military, which they said reportedly left four persons dead and several others critically wounded.

The people of the community are calling on the Federal Government and Civil Liberty Organisations (CLO) to carry out an investigation in order to unravel the mysteries behind the ugly incident which has left families with tears.

Amassoma community in Southern Ijaw LGA of Bayelsa state is currently having the heat once again as Military officers and community youths are having a serious clash over the state University gate which was sealed by welders during a protest few weeks ago.

It was gathered that the bloody clash which began this morning kicked off after a combined team of fully armed policemen and soldiers numbering up to 300 stormed into Amassoma community with the aim of opening the sealed University gate by force.

Reports has it that the while the military men were at that, the act angered the youths and members community, considering that their demands and agitations have not been met so far by the state government.

This lead to a bloody fight between armed forces and the youths of the community which left both old and young running for their lives. The military men were reported to have opened fire sporadically on the Indigenes of the community, teargas and canisters were also fired.

As at when this report was being compiled, a total number of three sons of Amassoma community have been confirmed dead while series of other causalities were accounted for.

The military men were said to have backed off from the community and the so called Niger Delta University gate has currently been blocked again with a tipper of sand by the host community.

The Indigenes of a Amassoma community in Southern Ijaw LGA of Bayelsa state embarked on a peaceful protest earlier today 14/05/2018 over the sack of over 2000 non academic staffs in Niger Delta University and non payment of salaries for almost seven months.

The protest was orchestrated by the elderly folks in the community who worked as cleaners, gardeners, gatemen etc for the state owned University.

They called on the attention of the Federal government to come to their rescue, saying the University's Vice chancellor and the state's governor are the major cause of their problems.

The angry protesters went as far as constructing a casket for the state governor Hon Henry Seriaki Dickson with the inscription:

Image of this outrageous letter is currently setting Bayelsa Facebook community on fire, as Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Epie clan demands N500,000 from a church in the state.

The IYC sent a letter to Redemption Ministry in Bayelsa state on 27th march 2018, giving the church an ultimatum of five days to respond to the letter.

According to the letter, the group claims the outrageous sum being demanded for is aimed at organizing Youth seminar, Workshop, Youth sensitization and Youth empowerment.

The church however, has cried out to the entire public, seeking for advice on how to go about the sum of N500,000 being demanded of them from IYC considering the time frame given.

Morgan Tsvangirai, the veteran Zimbabwean opposition leader who fought Robert Mugabe’s regime for many years, has been confirmed dead. He died on Wednesday 14/02/2018 after battling against cancer.

Tsvangirai, who established the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) in 1999, was among the most popular critics of Mugabe, the long-lasting tyrant ruler who was removed from power in November 2017.

Elias Mudzuri, one of the vice-presidents of the MDC, said on Twitter:
"It is sad for me to announce that we have lost our icon and fighter for democracy,”
Tsvangirai's demise was affirmed by another senior party member. He was aged 65.

Mugabe's administration kept him on detention several times over his vocal criticism of his rule.

Security powers swooped on Tsvangirai in 1989 after he obtusely cautioned about the rising tide of political suppression in the nation.

Tsvangirai also claimed to have been a target of four assassination attempts.

An farmer from Uferance Emekuku in Ankpa Local Government of Kogi was found dead in cold blood in his farm.

Reports has it that, he left for his farm on monday 12/02/2018 to harvest cassava, only for him to meet his unfortunate end at the hands of Fulani Herdsmen.

Two suspected cult members have been killed in a bloody conflict between two rival groups in some parts of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The conflict, which happened on Monday at Samphino Road, Kpansia and Biogbolo, Yenizue-Gene, all in the Yenagoa Local Government Area, prompted disorder between the two communities.

In spite of the fact that the purpose behind the battle presently couldn't seem to be built up, a police source said the occurrence was a show of power between two feared cult groups – the Icelanders and the Greenlanders.
