Rivers State police command has confirmed the killings of Some 15 Christians in Omoku, Ogba Egbema Ndoni local government area on Monday.

The victims who are members of the Lord's Chosen Charismatic Church were on their way back from pass over night church service.

The incident happened around 1am on Monday being 1st January 2018, when unknown gun men suspected to be cultist opened fire on the church innocent members returning from the pass over night church service.

Eye witness claims 15 persons including children have been confirmed dead while over 20 persons are in the hospital receiving treatment.

May their souls rest in peace.

The community of Okoroba in Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa state came under severe attack last night by unidentified gunmen.

The gunmen numbering up to fifteen stormed the community in a commando style and shot at random to scare the residents of the community away before properties worth millions of naira were looted.

Reports has it that a chief in the community, Michael Bokolo- Arugu told newsmen that; the home of the late environmental activist, Oronto Douglas was not spared as they broke into it and stole properties and other valuables.

He called on state government to their aid with a view to providing security as the community has been under constant attacks.

Reply: My greatest challenge has always been homosexuals. People telling you have to do this before you get a particular job. A gang of assassins attacked the house of a Pastor in Ogbia Main town of Ogbia local government area, Bayelsa State on Friday 22nd December.

An exclusive with the victims revealed that the incident happened around 11pm and lasted for almost 4 hours.

The family was taken out of their house at Victory street, to the main entrance road of Ogbia main town and held hostage for several hours.

Luckily one of the members of the household managed to place a distress call to another family member who wasn't at home during the time of the attack but was however caught and given the beaten of her life.

The assassins who had guns and knife on them revealed that they were paid by another pastor to kill the pastor which they had held hostage.

According to the victims, luckily for them, the rescue call that was made yielded positive results as Ogbia main town vigilante group and police came to their aid before things could get any messier after several hours of torture and robbing the family of their personal items.

The pastor who insisted on keeping his identity discreet said:

Neighbors saw the operation but were too scared to come out.
They had already separated me out from the rest of the family members, to kill.
We thank God for our lives, it would have been a different story if the girl had not gathered mind to place that call.
The vigilante group has not been functional for a very long while due to non payment but they still came still came out along with the police.

The location of the incident wasn't disclosed, but the Facebook user identified as Daniel Godspower, who shared the Horrifying incident on Facebook, thanked God for saving his own life.

From his explanation the sea pirates opened fire towards their boat and after having a rough escape from the sea pirates, this young man lost his life in the process.

This man is lying in cold blood, we were traveling together in the same boat on Thursday, we were ambushed by sea pirates, they open fire on us and got him killed, but again to the glory of God am alive today. Lord Jesus i thank you for my life.

Burna Boy who was declared wanted by Lagos State Commissioner of Police Edgal Imohimi on 20th November for conspiracy in robbery of his colleague in the music industry Mr 2kay was arrested by SARS on Friday 15th December and detained. According to the statement given by one of the SARS official pertaining the issue:

He is currently in SARS custody and is helping the police investigation.

SARS operations still lacks evidence to prove his involvement in the whole robbery.

A 22-year-old young man identified as Ifiemeya Odoki was shot dead by cultists in front of his house around the axis of ekeki, Yenagoa last night.

The alleged shooters came from yenizue epie axis of Yenagoa to the deceased's family house. It was said the deceased was with his mother when he was taken by the cultists and shot dead immediately.

An exclusive with close insider revealed that the body was immediately buried last night.

The family of the deceased claimed that their son wasn't a member of any cult group, however the insider says he strongly disagree with the claims as someone who doesn't have a connection with cultists can't just be killed by them intendedly.

A speed boat driver simply identified as Suku has been Shot dead by unknown gunmen on the Yenagoa-Akassa waterway in Bayelsa.

This unfortunate incident took place within 24 hours after the killing of a boat operator on the Sangana- Igbemotoru waterway on Dec. 13.

Witnesses told NAN in Yenagoa that the latest killing took place at Okobotuo, near Akassa in the Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa earlier on Thursday.

The victim of the attack was identified as the former chairman of the Akassa Unit of the Nigerian Maritime Workers Union.

Confirming the development, the Chairman of the Bayelsa State Chapter of the Nigerian Maritime Workers Union, Mr Lloyd Sese, said the deadly attacks were crippling economic activities in coastal communities in the state.

However, the Bayelsa State Police Command says it has put in place measures that will deal with the recent series of assassinations and killings in the state.
