Why is it that nobody can speak, not even the so called unions, they've all been bought over. February to July no salary. Can we all make it trend on social media, the Government has been deceiving the world that they'r not owing workers. Some of us did the so called biometrics for close to a month now. |
The commissioner of Information will be live on Wazobia fm tomorrow morning by 10am. Let's do well to call in, as many of us that have done our biometrics and are yet to be paid since February. Their propaganda can't work again, learnt Our Governor is hosting another Pdp convention by August, while his workers are yet to be paid |
http://dailypost.ng/2016/02/10/wike-directs-civil-servants-to-present-nominal-rolls/ Wike directs civil servants to present nominal rolls By Victor Azubuike on February 10, 2016 @dailypostngr All Civil Servants in the State have been directed to submit their nominal roll vouchers and Bank Verification Numbers (BVN) on or before Friday 12th of February as a condition for receiving February salary. The Commissioner for Finance, Fred Kpakol stated this in a crucial meeting he had with all heads of MDAs including Education Secretaries and Principals of schools. Kpakol insisted that with the geometrical drop in the Federal allocation, there is an urgent need to block all leakages in the system so that Government would have the funds to pay salaries, provide infrastructure and fulfil other campaign promises made by the Government. The Commissioner noted that the current staff strength in the service put at about 53,000 is grossly unrealistic and the payment of over Six billion as monthly wage bill is also unsustainable, adding that the submission of the authentic nominal rolls, vouchers and BVN would help Government to nip this corruption in the bud. He warned that the heads of MDAs’ are expected to endorse on the nominal rolls and vouchers, stressing that this would hold them responsible for any fraud detected in the nominal rolls. The Chairman Civil Service Commission, Chief Oris Onyiri stated that it is the responsibility of the heads of the MDA’s to stop the salaries of staff who retired in their MDA and not to wait for the office of the Head of Service or the Civil Service Commission to notify them before doing the needful. The Head of Service, Rufus Godwins, disclosed that Government is considering affixing the photograph of workers on their official files for identification, adding that this would reduce drastically the ghost workers syndrome in the State.[Where did he say 13,000 teachers arrears won't be paid again?] |
[What has this post got to do with us, you'r in the wrong place]The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister for Justice, Abubakar Malami, has said for the inconclusive Kogi State governorship election, the All Progressives Congress will only need to substitute its candidate, Abubakar Audu, who died on Sunday. Malami, who spoke in Abuja at a seminar organised by the Nigerian Law Reform Commission on the reform of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (Establishment) Act, said the election has to be concluded. Malami said the APC would have to substitute its candidate for the purpose of the supplementary election. He however did not say that the party’s deputy governorship candidate, James Abiodun Faleke, would automatically step in as the candidate. He said: “The issue is very straightforward. “Fundamentally, Section 33 of the Electoral Act is very clear that in case of death, the right for substitution by political a political party is sustained by the provisions of section 33 of the Electoral Act. “And if you have a community reading of that section with Section 221 of the Constitution, which clearly indicates that the right to vote is the right of a political party and and the party in this case, the APC has participated in the conduct of the election. “It is therefore apparent that the combination community reading of the two provisions does not leave any room for conjecture. “APC as a party is entitled to substitution by the clear provisions of section 33 of the Electoral Act. “Also Section 221 of the Constitution is clear that the votes that were cast were cast in favour of the APC. “Arising from that deductions, it does not require any legal interpretation. “The interpretation is clear: APC will substitute, which right has been sustained by Section 33 of the Electoral Act. “So be it. “The supplementary election that has to be conducted along the line.” Asked if that substitution should automatically benefit Faleke, Malami said: “It all depends on the appreciation of issues arising from the primaries conducted before now. “There was a first and a second candidate.“That primaries that had taken place over time had not by anyway been nullified.“And it is recognized by law. “But then a further consideration would be the idea of conducting another primary but that is not envisaged in view of the sustainability of the first primaries.”
|

Rivers State Government to pay civil servants salary arrears Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that his administration will work towards paying off all salary arrears owed by the immediate past administration in the state. He stressed that no civil servant will be victimised on the account of their political inclinations, but added that they should desist from playing partisan politics. Addressing, civil servants on Monday at the State Secretariat during his maiden meeting with them, Governor Wike said that his administration will be workers friendly. He said never in the history of the state had civil servants salaries been owed , pointing out that he will take proactive measures to ensure that the state will never descend to such unacceptable level. He said : "I want to assure you that we will pay you your salaries. We cannot embark on project execution without first paying your salaries. "The immediate past administration owed salaries because of misplaced priorities. For this administration, staff welfare will be given top priority ". He regretted that the civil servants and their unions kept quiet while the former administration relegated staff welfare to the background. On the poor condition of the State Secretariat, Governor Wike assured the workers that his administration will improve facilities at the State Secretariat for greater productivity of the workers. The governor, however, charged the State Head of Service, Mr Samuel Long-John to take remedial measures to improve the state secretariat pending the full scale rehabilitation. He also directed the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Sports to ensure that sportsmen and women playing for Sharks, Dolphin and Rivers Angels Football Clubs get their eight months salaries today. Earlier, Head of Service, Mr Samuel Long-John assured the governor that the civil servants will support his administration in the quest to transform the state. Simeon Nwakaudu, June 22, 2015 |
