How many can our country boast of producing and we blaming a country for covering our shame.

I won't totally agree. Because some dont know how to use those products effectively. Some Nigerians are always in haste to disassembled these products without reading the manual on how it should be used. At the end, we blame the manufacturers.

Am sorry to say this. But more of what those people produce spoils so quickly. Even up to toys our children plays with, it's apology. Just assembling those toys alone, it's either broken or faulty before use

They should, you just tell them the model of your gen. So that they can give you the spare parts that corresponds.

I must say that thanks to this topic, I was able to tell my brother & a friend about their service centre at Ikeja. They said they weren't aware of it

Sumec firman is a good product. I have many of families & friends that use it. And it quite impressive.

The pack of the spare part has a silver panel that you scratch and see either 20 digit code and send to a particular number. I was suprised too, I found out all of that out when I went to their service center. Naija don dey better small small

At NO.8, Akin Osiyemi Street off Allen Avenue, Ikeja - Lagos. I've been there like 2 times to service my generator and get spare parts.

Where is the service center located?

Well for me, I have been using Sumec Firman generator for years now. I found out that its so easy to identify their genuine generator cos they have authorised stores in different locations, FIRMAN is engraved on 8 parts of the generator and more interestingly, they have a Service Center where you can enjoy good after sales services.

Salt as how? Have not heard of or seen that before o.

Well aside from it been a Good brand generator,it has to be original,most dealers at times are shady and after sales,I once got a Good brand generator and found out it was foaming salt....

Using it right matters cos one of my neighbour complain of his new gen given him issues whereas according to him, his friend is using same brand of gen for years without major probs

I didn't say so, I only cited their stand at the Trade fair as an example. There were other brands who had stands at the Trade fair too.

Yes using it right matters a lot. But come to think of it, there is no right way to use a fake kva generator cos in the first place the capacity has been exaggerated unknowingly to you. So let's say you bought a generator that is supposed to be 2.5kva but it has been exaggerated to 4kva. Then you load 3kva appliances on it, you really think you are using it right but you are already overloading the generator cos its just 2.5kva which in turn will destroy the generator in no time. You see the danger now?

Why should we have generators with fake KVA?

I was at the last Lagos International Trade fair and observed that many people bought original generators like Sumec Firman, etc at their stands even though they seem expensive but many still chose to buy other brands with fake KVAs because they are cheap. So which would you rather choose: An expensive original generator or a cheap generator with fake KVA?
