In the spirit of giving back to the community, here’s my application timeline;

Application submitted- June 11, 2023
Biometrics completed at VFS Lagos - June 21, 2023
Biometrics validity letter - June 15, 2023
PPR - June 15, 2023
Passport submission at VFS Lagos - June 20, 2023
Passport delivered by UPS courier to a Lagos address - July 30, 2023


Background- I have valid US and UK visas. Also several expired Schengen visas. So I am a frequent traveler and most trips are for tourism.

Applied as a tourist with hotel reservation. No family or friend in Canada was mentioned in my application
Submitted all the regular documents - nothing extra

I applied for dropbox earlier this month. I have tried to track my passport on the cgi website but the status has changed from 'your passport is with the consulate' to 'document delivery information'. I try to click on the tab but it does not open. I also tried to check on ustraveldocs website and that has also changed from 'your passport is with the consulate' to 'There is no status update available for the passport number submitted'. I have not received any email or any other communication regarding my application.

What does this mean? How do i know for sure where my passport is?

Hello. Quick question please. For UK visit visa, does it matter if the bank statements provided are double-sided? I mentioned to my bank that it was for visa purposes and therefore I would rather it be printed single-sided but they said this was acceptable as well. I just don't want any issues as the staff at these visa centres have quite the attitude.

It must be single-sided. The team at VAC use a high speed scanner to scan all documents at once so it will be impossible to do that with double-sided bank statements. You pay for each page so your bank should be able to honor your request. It is your money

Hi everyone, can you use a bank statement that was generated from an internet banking platform since it will not be stamped and signed by any bank official?

I just tried completing the DS-160 form but i feel like the form is incomplete. For example, it did not ask for my travel history outside the US.

Also, I am applying with my mom. Is it possible for us to get interviewed together? How do I go about the visa fee payment and interview appointment? Do I pay to GTbank as a lump sum so I can schedule one interview date and submit two separate applications?
