US and UK is worse because guards and inmate will gangrape you violently,think of the psychological torture. so there is nothing gruesome about it,these guys have done gruesome things in the past.what consolation do you want to give a child whose mother was raped to death? don't just defend.

While a prison is not to be made to homely, it is supposed to be some sort of a reformatory home, where inmates are treated humanely and availed the opportunity to reflect on their deeds and possibly turn a new leaf.

This is hugely inhumane and will only end up further damaging the inmate's psyche and making them more hardened.

You'd be shocked to know the figures budgeted annually to cater for each inmate in Nigerian prisons.

Will dig up the figures and post here when I can.
