Freelance I have a question. Did their name make them or their product? You seem to be placing name before product. As far as I am concerned no matter what your name is, as long as people like what you do your name will always ring a bell. I think you need to focus 99% on your product, and then the name association will come naturally. Except if I don’t get the gist correctly.

@alinco2

Obviously people here are finding ways of helping you out. At the end of the day its going to be your decision to do what you want to do with your money. However there is some sense in what noble2007 is talking about.

Yesterday evening at a usual hangout spot a friend working with Oceanic Bank said there's a product the bank is offering now. You get 30% of your investment back and you have the liberty of withdrawing your money out of the investment whenever you want. It sounds like what noble2007 is talking about. It makes sense to me, you get 30% of investment without moving an arm.

As for the stock market thing I think you should consult a broker to give you a good advice on that, because from my little findings there are stocks not common that you can gain more from than the ones that make so much noise.

Does it mean its content will be basically humor shots? How about if other videos or shots are done within Nigeria that's not comedy?

Romance / Re: I'm I A Gay? by tellmemore(m): 10:16am On Nov 23, 2006
She calls you gay because you did not do what she expected from you as a guy. She wants you to take her to bed , period.
You don't have to fall in love with her to lay her. Collect your share and move on, after you finish write her a poem or something. cool

Business / Re: why Made In Nigeria Products are not marketable Abroad by tellmemore(m): 11:30am On Nov 20, 2006
These are what the likely reasons are

You have to like yourselves/products before anyone does.

Lack of political will to market our products. Y should our leaders be interested in marketing what they will not benefit from, after all they benefit from one being marketed, (oil).

Tribalism. There are enough boys in aba making products being sold across West African countries even as far as Dubai. It is bought and sent back to Nigeria as made outside. Probably if they were from another part of 'Nigeria' they will get more attention.

Packaging. Poor packaging gets poor patronage.

The side effect is you kill the art of boy chase girl or vice versa. There are too many chics to be playing around with your hand. Besides there's no way the hand can replace beautiful, gorgeous, coke cola bottle shaped, well endowed, created on the 7th day African Queens.

Getting hooked with Calabar is a must if you visit. I was there some time ago too. It's really worth visiting especially with the neatness of the place. Enter the town at night, its lovely. I did not have the chance of rolling with the girls but they were cool.
Culture / Re: Igbo Names & Their Meanings by tellmemore(m): 9:50am On Nov 06, 2006
People remember sometimes Igbo names given depend on the area of the Igbo land you come from. For instance my name is Kalu its usually those from Ohafia, Arochukwu and some parts of Abia State that beer such names. Thou many other names are answered generally.
Also Most of the names given so far on this thread were coined out of Christianity (I think) there are still the traditional names. I cannot remember them for now but when I do I’ll post a couple of them later.

anizzle you are doing a great job following up on this project. I don’t see the reason behind wanting to get Seun involved compulsorily, it should be voluntary. He has provided us an avenue to interact, I think that in itself is good enough. I wish I could be at the meeting but I'm in far away warri. I would like to be kept posted on developments.

I understand the way U are thinking anizzle. You have a lovely mind set. It will be lovely if you start off maybe with a business plan or something.
Have you looked into osusu (hope I got the spelling correct) with the Niraland forum administrator as the collector and giving to those who payed. Its a cheap way of raising capital or funds for what ever you want to do. It could be a weekly thing or dayly, with the number of pople on this forum the money raised will be awesome.
If agreed with the forum administrator we can start coming up with plan on how to go about it

Business / On Line Payment by tellmemore(m): 11:37am On Oct 27, 2006
Not having an on line payment system for your problem seems to be a big hindrance to on line sales and a way of selling on the international market conveniently. Apart from paypal are there any other modes of getting online payments for products?
Crime / Re: The Nigerian Police by tellmemore(m): 2:54pm On Oct 19, 2006
Change Attitude on Policemen, CP Pleads

That was the simple and short of what the Commissioner for Police Mr Jonathan Johnson of Oyo State on page 12 of Thisday Newspaper on Wednesday October 18th 2006 had to say.

I am to change my attitude to the people who harass me when I'm driving. Asking me for documents that that you are not to drive around with.

Considering the enormous role policemen play, the security outfit deserves commendation rather than scorn.

Commendation for robbing people. A couple of months back, a jetter saloon car was stolen from my neighborhood in warri only to find it in P.H being used by a police man

At a joint, a policeman was telling a story of how a man was stabbed 6 times in the neck by a policeman whom he giave a lifted. Thank God he survived to tell the story.

As for me, seeing the police on the road gives me automatic stomach upset , no excuses.

Try driving from Lagos to Benin. It as if the police moved their barracks to the express road.

With this I am to give commendation to the police? My bros/sister e get as e be.
