January 10th 2024 CBN Dissolves the Board and Management of Union Bank, Keystone Bank and Polaris Bank
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has dissolved the Board and Management of Union Bank, Keystone Bank, and Polaris Bank.
This action became necessary due to the non-compliance of these banks and their respective boards with the provisions of Section 12(c), (f), (g), (h) of Banks and Other Financial Institutions Act, 2020. The Bank's infractions vary from regulatory non-compliance, corporate governance failure, disregarding the conditions under which their licenses were granted, and involvement in activities that pose a threat to financial stability, among others.
The CBN assures the public of the safety and security of depositors' funds and remains resolute in fulfilling its mandate to uphold a safe, sound, and robust financial system in Nigeria. Our Banking system remains strong and resilient.

Politics › FG Unveils National Dairy Policy To Boost Milk Local Production by tellsblinks(op): 11:41am On Jun 10, 2024 |
BUSINESS June 10, 2024 FG unveils National Dairy Policy to boost milk local production of milk The Federal Government has unveiled the National Dairy Policy (2023-2028) aimed at guiding both public and private sector investors towards achieving self-sufficiency in milk production and enhancing global competitiveness.
Speaking at the official launch during the 2024 World Milk Day celebration in Abuja, the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Agribusiness and Productivity Enhancement, Dr. Kingsley Uzoma, emphasized the government’s commitment to transforming the dairy industry by addressing key challenges such as outdated breeding practices and midstream inefficiencies.
His words: “The National Dairy Policy aims to transform the dairy industry by addressing key obstacles, including the lack of modern global best practices for crossbreeding and calving, and midstream challenges.”
“Currently, Nigeria spends $1.5 billion annually on importing dairy products due to a production deficit. Nigerians consume an average of 1.6 billion litres of milk and its products, but domestic production is insufficient to meet this demand.”
Shettima highlighted significant investments by local and international firms such as Friesland Campina WAMCO and Danone’s Fan Milk.
“These companies have initiated extensive backward integration projects to boost local milk production and foster a strong market for dairy products, aiming to reduce imports and enhance food and nutritional security.
“The Federal Government will continue to support such efforts by sustaining an enabling environment for capital inflow and technology transfer,” he added https://www.vanguardngr.com/2024/06/fg-unveils-national-dairy-policy-to-boost-milk-local-production/

One thing you should know is while you're praying for increased minimum wage also consider the businesses affected by inflation. If it's too high, the business might increase cost of goods and services and the cycle would continue |

Validated: Tinubu has no place in governance. How can you recommend $35 a month for a family man? Labour should ask him for the breakdown.
Labour should insist on $250 or N387,590. If Tinubu cannot pay, let him give way. Haba it's not Tinubu Fault nah... He constituted a committee and your GOVERNOR is part of it. It's your Governors that is pricing this rubbish!! |

Highlights from the Industrial Visit to INNOSON Vehicle Manufacturing Industry I would love to share highlights from the recent excursion with the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department of Nnamdi Azikiwe University on March 1st, 2024. It was truly an eye-opening experience for all of us!
First and foremost, I want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who played a part in making this trip possible. From the staff, students and members of the department who joined hands with me in Organising it to the industry experts who guided us along the way, your efforts are sincerely appreciated!
During our trip, we had the incredible opportunity to witness firsthand some of the key processes involved in car manufacturing. We saw how raw materials like steel and aluminum are transformed into the sleek automobiles we see on the roads every day.
We got to explore the world of metallurgy in action as we observed the heat treatment process. This critical step helps to enhance the strength and durability of metal components, ensuring that they can withstand the rigors of daily use.
But perhaps the most rewarding aspect of the trip was the opportunity to learn from industry professionals who shared their insights and experiences with us. Their passion for engineering and innovation was truly inspiring, and it reinforced our commitment to pursuing excellence in our field.
Once again, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this excursion such a memorable and enriching experience. Let's continue to apply the knowledge and inspiration gained from this trip as we strive to make meaningful contributions to the world of metallurgical and materials engineering! Nwosu Paul Chibuike Departmental president — Metallurgical and materials engineering students. Unizik
