oau is not on strike and we just finished lectures(on Friday) just a day before it happened, the helpless guy might have planned to go home that Saturday. just pray for his soul and don't blame him!

What's the difference anyway it's an institution and learning should be made conducive for students. looking at these pictures, anyone who's attending or has attended a federal or state institution knows this is not far from the truth. we have experienced such in times past or experiencing it presently. we know what education in Nigeria has been leveled to. left for us to look for the way forward so our children and the generation coming won't suffer this fate. our government has failed us. God bless Nigeria

there are chairs in that lecture theatre!, you can't sit to write the exam if you want to be comfortable that's is why they were kneeling, it was not a theory exam, it was practical!

The fact is no1, that mee203 is engineering drawing, even if there is a seat you won't sit because it won't be convenient for you, you have to keep turning yourself or your drawing board to draw comfortable.
No 2 is that that is booc and there is more than enough sit to write exams there, I've written another theory exam there and I sat down, I didn't kneel or stand. The reason why they were kneeling is because of the kind of exam they were doing. if you did engineering drawing, you will understand the reason why it's not convenient to sit when doing the exam especially if the table is not slanting. The urge to draw on-time sef will not allow you sit comfortably sef

Folasade developed biogradeable menstrual pads with Plantain stem and also has been able to scale it up to the usual pad we know and hers is biogradeable and very healthy.
Her product is one of the finalist in Chivas venture and she will 200k dollars if you vote her to win...Unfortunately right now she is number 20 and has to get to number one to win the prize money.She is the only Nigerian there but people have not been voting because of unawareness.

Sustainable sanitary pads are made from banana and plantain tree fibres, which farmers would have otherwise considered waste.
They are fully biodegradable within 6 months, but most importantly, they are affordable to all women, and generate extra income for plantain farmers.
In developing countries, most women and girls living in poverty cannot afford to buy female sanitary products. They are forced to resort to unhygienic alternatives such as rags, foams or toilet paper, resulting in various health risks. In Nigeria, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas, a lot of girls have to miss school during their period. As a result of so much absenteeism, they cannot complete their education.
Green pad aims to improve menstrual hygiene and reproductive health by giving these girls an alternative, that is also respectful of the environment.

Increase our production. We’d be able to buy new machines and equipment to convert raw materials to pulp, finish and assemble the pads, and for packaging. We’ve been able to manually produce 50,000 pieces of sanitary pads, and we want to reach even more women and girls on a bigger scale.

Funding will help us spread awareness of the issues surrounding menstrual hygiene. We want to see a day where no girl drops out of school because she can’t afford a basic sanitary pad. It will help achieve our goal of creating over 800 jobs in our first two years and also create an extra source of income for poor plantain or banana farmers.

Being the first female in my family I was usually involved in settling disputes amongst my younger siblings and was very involved in their development to become responsible young adults. My quest for leadership gave me an opportunity to volunteer with young women and girls, where I championed a health drive that focused on social and health issues that affect women. My late father once told me, “be the change that your society needs, don’t be limited by your gender; be inspired by it. Let your challenges become your strengths”.
