sarrki:
The National Coalition of Niger Delta Ex-Agitators, NCNDE-A, has lampooned the former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani – Kayode, popularly known as FFK, over his incessant attacks on the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress, APC administration saying the Ile-Ife born politician was yet to recover from the debilitating defeat his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, suffered at the polls against the ruling APC, saying there was urgent need for the former Minister to consult psychiatrists to bring him back to shape psychologically.

Speaking through the Director, Media, Publicity and Strategy, Ben Onyemaechi, in Abuja Tuesday, the National President of the group, Israel Akpodoro, noted that from the bitterness, pains, hatred expressed daily by Fani-Kayode against the current regime one could see that he was yet to come out of the emotional torture occasioned by the loss of his candidate, former President Goodluck Jonathan at the poll, who he said has moved on with his life as a statesman while he (Fani-Kayode) chose to cry more than the bereaved in what he described as excessive grandstanding.

The reaction is on the backdrop of a report in one of the national dailies credited to the former minister expressing fear over the safety of the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, as it concerns the health condition of President Buhari and his elongated medical vacation in the United Kingdom.

He noted that the President before embarking on his vacation had done the needful by transmitting a letter directing the Vice President to act as President in his stead wondering where Chief Fani-Kayode situated his “baseless fear” if not for want of creating apprehensions in the minds of Nigerians noting that such was grossly misplaced only he and his ilks who he describes as schysophrenia could think in that direction.

Onyemaechi noted that although the politician wasn’t alone in his dilemma adding that there were others in the PDP whose opinion were formed around their hatred for anything that has to do with President Buhari, the APC and the Hausa Fulani for want of staying perpetually in the corridors of power at the detriment of honesty and sincerity of purpose.

The Coalition noted that since former President Olusegun Obasanjo, brought out Chief Fani-Kayode from the rehabilitation home in Ghana and appointed him his Spokesperson and later Minister of Aviation he has been shuttling from one court to the other over corruption charges even under the PDP government.

“FFK believes he can always whip sentiments of hate around any government with the aim of blackmailing same to be appointed. He has gotten it all wrong this time. So he did to former President Jonathan until he was railroaded into his campaign organisation and that gave him the chance to whittle down the leftover of the Ijaw-born politician’s popularity.”

NCNDE-A further stated that rather than mind his numerous corruption cases in courts, FFK is busy “retailing lies” to unsuspecting citizens in his incitful comments in the most unpatriotic manner saying such acts were unbecoming of a supposed statesman.

The earlier he understands that power is transient, the better for Chief Fani-Kayode, who group described as notorious in grandstanding and ingrate.

“In the game of grandstanding and ingratitude FFK is legendary. It was he who openly called Chief Obasanjo an ingrate for not supporting the inordinate ambition of a former military president to contest election whereas Obasanjo brought him out of oblivion. We know him and we are telling him to either retrace his footsteps or consult psychiatrists. We are aware that the association of badlosers has been formed against this administration by the PDP but then the APC is not losing sleep over their shameful tirades because a service driven team is in place not looters and plunderers of our national wealth.” The group’s image maker stated.

The pro Buhari ex-militants noted that before the arrest and detention of Chief Fani-Kayode, he painted the Buhari’s administration black in his war against corruption as they alleged clampdown on opposition and selective justice but noted that recent developments have shown that the Ile-Ife Chief was a major player in the alleged diversion of arms money held in trust by the National Security Adviser, NSA.

The Coalition called on the Ibrahim Magu-led Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, not allow for plea bargaining in its case against the “flippant” FFK, in his alleged N26 million fraud as it calls for expedition of corrupt cases in courts so that Nigerians can see the looters of their commonwealth in prisons.
