mr kiekie i called u in d dusk yesterday really need d 60A cc

At my friend's house imagine an installer installing 8 pieces of 80watt panel on a 24v 800ah setup!!! he also put some crazy heatsink in a box n fix it on d wall calling it charge controller it doesn/t look like pwm/mppt and d worst part is he collected a very HUGE amount of money.
It would be better if he collects more money and he does a satisfying job..........don't know y some local made installer does rubbish n call it job

temizee I will issue a disclaimer. Without knowing the loads I can't give you an answer.

Now for my educated guess. 24 V system will need an 80 amp charge controller with 2 kw in panels.
Based on some of the smaller systems I have installed if you manage it well, it should be more than adequate

I am sure you based your conclusion on some information you did not supply.
What loads does he intend to power?
How many hours for each load.
Multiply the load by the hours.
Add up your totals and that gives you your watt hours.
Divide that number by the hours of peak sunshine (anywhere from 4 to 6 hours)
That will give you how many watts you need in panels.
Now the calculation for the batteries will be taken off your total watt hours and then factor in your depth of discharge.

whats the total wattage of ur panels?...the chart has been pasted on this thread b4...search or better still google.
ditance from ur panels to charge controller is also another issue..........as the distance increases.....so does ur wire size.

10amp cc?.....that implies ur panel shud be 12 v 120w, or 150w , a 200w panel wud still work if its not well positioned/efficient

cool product! I guess u want to use it for emergency backup because the inbuilt battery is just 20ah....quite low compared to d bulky ba3

Where can I get an inverter with built in batteries? I mean, something like a UPS (with a rechargeable battery within the unit), to power small household appliances like LED TV, Decoder, and standing fan for at least 4-5 hours? I'm not interested in those bulky ones with external batteries.

there is no shortcut in inverter system...u av to invest in those bulky n external batteries.

My pair of 200 ah Ritar batteries dont hold a charge as well again. Is there no way of rejuvenating them and squeeze some extra juice from them or should i just go for a new set.?

I use them with my 800va treashold pure sinewave inverter.

yu can take the ba3 to battery repairer or junkside charger they will changed plate n put new electrolyte.hopefully it will get stronger..i knw of someone who tried it n it works.

@temizeee, I honestly think you can do the rest work your self. DO THE maths, present your results. then we may do some corrections. I am saying this because you said you study EEE.
Calculate your daily energy consumption in KWH.
Estimate how much energy your 2 by 90w pv will harvest in 4 to 5 hours daily in KWH.

thanks sir,i have finally installed my setup actually i run small battery for 4 nau n am happy cause i am able to put on my loads convienently during sunshine..will get good battery bank soon so as to backup at night.

i have 2×90 watt off sunmodule panels,10 amp charge controller,selfmade inverter(m an eee student like building circuit), i will get battery soon, am a student n i dont av so much load just a tv,dvd,a fan n 11watt energy saving bulb.
can some of these loads be powered on during d day n ba3 still get charge via my 2×90watt solar panel ... can't afford more than does panel for now.....if it will work den i will know i need only ba3 if it won't i can hold on for ba3 n buy more panels later
i just want real life feasibility abour d panel corresponding to d loads...ideally d load can b run for 6hrs perday...

My 3 5kva luminous inverter backed by 4 batteries usually powers my fridge, tv and fans dor two days when fully charged. Now it doesn't power all these items for 24hrs except the fridge is off. What could cause this.

I have had the inverter for 8months.

possible problem:your battery is degrading
question: when did u installed the 4 batteries?
possible solution: you will replace the battery according to the spec of the present.

Hi, please anyone using blue gate inverter? I just got a bluegate 2kva pure sine wave inverter and I noticed after like 20 minutes of charging the inbuilt fan starts up with a loud noise and stops like in 2 seconds . This then continues every 20-30 secs. I do not know if this is the normal way the bg inverter works. Technician that fixed it is not sure too but seller said dats how it works. Please help .
