My sincere apologize to this admins of this trend from me; for creating a new topic. I understand it would have to taken down. Once against apologize. I just needed to draw attention to my case. ( Cause am frustrated)


Please I need help seriously with my MacBook pro M1.

I was using as normal few days ago, then I came back to use it suddenly not coming on. After a few hours and several tries it came on and boot only half way and went off.

I connected it to power source it on to the stage where I need to input my password, both the track pad and the keyboard is suddenly not working.

I tried to get to the startup options to see if I can't restore to factory settings. Since the keyboard and the track pad is not working.

I had to go buy external keyboard and external mouse which worked. I tried to use the recovery to reinstall the MACOs but it was stuck at downloading for over 7 hours.

Then I asked chatgpt, then I went to disk utility to delete what is there.. chatgpt to me I have to erase it from the Apple sad; which I did.

I tried to download a new Macos through the recovery again, this time around it was downloading.. but it got to just the finish and got stuck and subsequently said pkerror download.

I took it to an engineer, that said by deleting it from Apple ssd, I have deletes the firmware too. So he would need to use another M1 to reinstall the firmware and new Macos. (I.e through Apple configurator 2).

I paid him, it said by evening I should get it.
But said due to network it would be the following day. Then the following day. He said he has tried to revive and restore like 3 times and burning data that the stuff keeps going back and not working.

That the next step is to go and check the storage disk and that would cost me about 50k. I can't afford that.

That is why I came to my nairaland folks to help me with there experience on what is going on with my MacBook, cause am frustrated and exhausted and have burnt money.

So please help me.

Yes you can. But - you most likely will need to buy outright unless you can show evidence of continuing income enough to pay the mortgage and your living expenses from somewhere and have a visa longer than 24 months. Your deposit will also be much higher as well as higher interest rates. Basically it's not impossible

1. Currently you get a 2 years post-study visa after schooling and Yes, you can take your spouse. On the highlighted that has never been true. If you get a job after your studies then you can stay. The only difference now is that there is a post-study visa that gives you ample time to get a suitable job.

2. If you have the money to outrightly buy the property then it should be fine. Otherwise getting a mortgage on a student visa might be near impossible but I could be wrong.

Am at the crossroads.
Two questions:.

1. UK is notorious for sending people out after the study visa. I want go study masters in the UK and take my spouse along. Would I be legally allowed to stay.

2. Can I be an entrepreneur and stay back especially in the real estate sector; which brings me to the second question, Can someone on study permit invest or buy real estate properties in the UK. I believe people already living there are best to answer this question.
