Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Faces JAIL In South Africa by Temotala: 9:46am On Nov 26, 2015
tinajohn:
In contrast, a source who attended the hearing of South African Bishop Stephen Zondo, stated that Mkhwanazi-Xaluva cited an equally controversial Nigerian megachurch leader, T.B. Joshua, as an example of one who openly used his finances to assist the less-privileged, something she expected of all clergy.
Criticizing him will not change the lives he has changed! Respect to TBJ!
PoliticsRe: Diezani To Visit Prophet T. B Joshua As Condition Worsens - Daily Post by Temotala: 7:03pm On Nov 23, 2015
Everyday, we keep hearing about TB Joshua! He turned Tanzania upside down two weeks ago, managed to get his station Emmanuel TV on DSTV last week and now Madueke wants to visit him for prayers. Is there any other pastor in Nigeria that’s actually active?
PoliticsHow T.B. Joshua Saw Death Of A Politician After Elections - MARCH 2015 by Temotala(op): 6:51pm On Nov 23, 2015
Came across this on Naij.com from March this year. Audu anyonehuh

Speaking to his congregation on Sunday, March 29, 2015, the prophet said, he is seeing the death of a prominent politician due to ‘heated up’ politics in the wake of the closely fought Nigerian elections.

“I am seeing Nigerians heating up politics.

“They will heat up politics and a great man among the politicians will likely lose his life… I am seeing this kind of thing happening in the night.

Joshua stated this just before the close of his church service at 7pm in a message broadcast live via Christian television station Emmanuel TV.

He urged members of his congregation to remain prayerful on those specified days so as to save souls.

Earlier in the service, the cleric reminded congregants of a prophetic message he had shared last year concerning a ‘dark cloud’ hovering over Nigeria. He said God is beginning to remove the cloud.

Explaining what the ‘cloud’ represented, Joshua stated that it meant a situation whereby two political parties would declare themselves as election winners, leading to a state of ‘lawlessness’.

“Whoever wins the race, let us put Nigeria first, the nation first.

“The dark cloud I saw last year was two declarations but I can see the finger of God. Thank you for your prayers.”

He urged his congregants to avoid violence, and not allow themselves be used by politicians to cause bloodshed, while adding that do or die is not politics.

The man of God said: “There is a difference between your faith and politics.

“Don’t play politics as if it is your faith. ‘Do or die’ is not politics. Politics is a game. When you lose, you say, ‘Thank You, Jesus’; when you win, you say, ‘Thank You, Jesus’.

“Your future and the future of this nation – Jesus will ask you to give account. What we are doing now is for generations yet unborn. Don’t trade this future for money, thuggery or corruption.”

T.B. Joshua also predicted that an international terrorist will be captured.

“A criminal they have been looking for, for many years, who has been terrorising the world – I am seeing him being caught and displayed to the world on international media,” he announced.

Before the elections, the cleric had warned Nigerians to be aware of fake political party people, saying he foresees a plane crash.

Pastor T.B. Joshua is famous both in Nigeria and abroad for his religious activities. He performs miracles and conducts deliverance. The cleric also makes predictions about events that will take place on the national and international stage.

She is probably among those who condemned and criticized TB Joshua while in office - based on the statements of Adeboye, Oritsejafor, Kumuyi etc. - but now when she stares death in the face, she is going to him for prayers. Hypocrisy! A prophet they say is without honour in his hometown...
PoliticsRe: Diezani Asks To Be Flown To TB Joshua's Church In Lagos As Health Worsens. by Temotala: 5:07pm On Nov 23, 2015
Why do our prominent Nigerians seem to only remember TB Joshua when death stares them in the face? It is other countries that know his value. Look at what happened in Tanzania... Well, a prophet is without honour in his hometown!

tonytony208:
Conclusively, the people just came to attend church program and not purposely to see TB Joshua as you earlier hinted.
Point taken. However, this is Zimbabwe bro. Trust me - if TB Joshua said he's going there, he'd have to use the Sahara Desert to contain the crowd. You'd literally be talking of MILLIONS.

tonytony208:
People came to attend a church program in Zimbabwe and tb Joshua happens to be one of the invited ministers, but here you are making it look like the people came from their purposely to see tb Joshua. Were you in the people's minds and heard them saying that they were coming to see TB Joshua?
You are acting as if tb Joshua's image has been dented and he needs quick damage control strategy to revive his image. Does a true man of God need this publicity? I don't think so. The purpose of being a man of God is to publicize Jesus and not yourself.
Errm - wrong actually. TB Joshua addressed the crowd via the phone!!! He wasn't physically present. I think he's still in Tanzania...
PoliticsWOOAH! See The CROWD TB Joshua Sang To Yesterday!!! by Temotala(op): 11:18am On Nov 07, 2015
Well, I know this aint really politics - but this crowd is HUGE!! It's the turnout at a Zimbabwean Christian crusade with one Prophet Magaya

TB Joshua spoke (and sang) live to the crowd - according to this vid:

Whether you like him or not, TB Joshua can DEFINITELY be considered among one of Africa's most influential individuals!

T.B. Joshua is undoubtedly the greatest (yet most maligned) asset that Nigeria as a nation possesses. Trust me - I am talking as a foreigner.
PoliticsRe: MUST READ: Message From Nigeria's Senate President & Speaker Of The House by Temotala: 10:29pm On Oct 08, 2015
Point taken - why is Saraki talking about visa issues and Dogara praising Saudi's crowd control when until now, Nigerians don't know the actual number of pilgrims who died or are gravely injured? Why did they not use this as an opportunity to demand a full independent investigation into what happened? Why no talk of compensation for the victims?

I have to agree with the op - the way Nigeria handled TB Joshua's case smacks of hypocrisy when comparing it to the Hajj issue...

Christianity EtcRedeemed Member Laments ‘T.B. Joshua Lies’ by Temotala(op): 10:14am On Jan 24, 2015
A former member of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God named Grace Venn has vented anger at church authorities for ‘deceiving her’ about controversial Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua.

In an impassioned rant on YouTube, Grace revealed that the strong stance of prominent leaders in The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) against T.B. Joshua had affected ‘millions’ negatively.

“I have asked God to help me to forgive all these so-called Christian “mighty” ministers of God for misleading me and millions of people for decades now, accusing Prophet T.B. Joshua and SCOAN to be the devil’s handiwork,” she irately commented on one of Joshua’s numerous online videos.

“Because of the attack on Prophet T.B. Joshua by CAN, PFN and by all these great men of God and the members of their churches, millions of souls like me and members of my family who could have received our deliverance through Prophet T.B. Joshua have suffered for nothing,” she further alleged.

Venn described how she knew of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) over 20 years ago but refused to attend the church because of the warning she received from church leaders.

“I lived just 3 bus-stops from the SCOAN in Ejigbo but I never stepped inside the church for one day, even for one minute. My family and I vowed never to step our feet there because Redeemed church members were ALWAYS being warned by our church leaders who were preaching seriously to us NEVER to go near SCOAN premises and to shun Prophet T.B. Joshua,” she exploded.

However, according to the former Redeemed member, Joshua’s crimes causing him to merit such denunciation were never revealed. “We were never told what Prophet Joshua’s sins were and how he offended anybody to warrant such verbal attacks and curses from fellow Christians who say they know God and hear from God,” she added.

According to her, these warnings against Joshua continue to be sounded by ‘jealous’ church leaders. “Until today, the Redeemed Church and other church leaders in Nigeria and overseas are still warning their members never to go near SCOAN. May God forgive these church people who are misleading, deceiving and hindering millions from receiving their deliverance and blessings from God through Prophet Joshua!”

It is only after Venn relocated to London, UK that she did some personal investigations and arrived at the conclusion that the warnings peddled by her church leaders against Joshua were based on falsehoods.

“What is paining me now is that now I know the value of SCOAN and Prophet T.B. Joshua, I am living in London, thousands of miles away from Nigeria… We allowed ourselves to be deceived and misled because we listened to jealous accusations from these people who say they are ‘God’s ministers’. Unknown to us, they were being used by satan to deceive millions of Christians in Nigeria,” she concluded.

The video Grace shared her experiences on detailed the confession of Pastor Gabriel Ikpenwa, a former Assistant Pastor at Redeemed, who narrated how he once preached in crusades that T.B. Joshua was the ‘Anti-Christ’ before his own personal marital problems led him to The SCOAN where he found solace and deliverance.

Christianity EtcWatch T.B. Joshua REFUSE $1,000 Offering! by Temotala(op): 7:41pm On Jan 21, 2015
SOURCE: http://www.nigerianeye.com/2015/01/video-tb-joshua-refuses-1000-offering.html

To buttress his unconventional sermon last Sunday where T.B. Joshua berated pastors who ‘forced’ their members to pay tithes and offerings, a video has surfaced of the Nigerian cleric refusing a whopping $1,000 offering.

The clip, which was posted last week on Emmanuel TV’s channel on video-sharing site YouTube, shows Joshua ministering to the sick during his recent visit to the South American nation of Colombia. An elderly Paraguayan lady who had travelled to the meeting from Switzerland is shown receiving prayer for a 60 year back problem.

After she had received prayer, the son of the overwhelmed lady brought out an envelope from her bag. “In here is an offering that she has been saving for a year - $1,000 for your ministry” he tearfully told the Nigerian pastor. “Help me give it to the needy,” T.B. Joshua instantly responded. “These are the things that hinder miracles,” he then explained to the crowd. “It would look like the miracle is exchanged for money.”

How many pastors would do the same, I wonder?

Polishing turd? Both crude and lewd terminology should not be considered when discussing instances of spiritual significance. Your choice of words is telling of your state of heart.

I hope politicians in Nigeria are listening!!! Strong words from T.B. Joshua - “If somebody becomes so rich, if what he is having that made him to be rich is not from people’s hearts - it’s by corruption or bribery - you will cry for the person someday.”

Weah96:
TB Joshua runs a faith healing business empire. Faith healers are no different from snake charmers.

It's all a bunch of lies.
Provide some proof for your statements?? I agree he is unconventional but Prophet T.B. Joshua is undoubtedly the most genuine of the Pentecostal pastors i have ever seen. If you are not sure of him, take time out to watch Emmanuel TV. It's raw, real and radical!
PoliticsRe: MUST READ: T.B. Joshua's Heated Message To Corrupt Politicians! by Temotala: 2:48pm On Jan 19, 2015
“If people that are collecting bribes know all of this, they will stop collecting bribes,” he continued. “The repercussions are not midway. They come at the end when we have no strength again to do the right thing. The money, mansions and possessions will collapse… The beginner is not the owner but the finisher. Whatever you do – remember where you are going.”

Wow... !
