From what I have seen, Technician roles have many entry level openings that don't require experience or certifications. They only need your punctuality, ability to show up for your shifts and the right attitude towards work.

For "Engineer" roles, it is different..
They like their education and then any previous related American job experience.

My advice, in any field you want to build a career in, start with entry level technician/associate roles that only require you to have a pulse, go to an American school even if it's a community college at first then your path will be clear and future bright.

About your other question, companies accept/recognize world-wide recognized certifications/skills like the ones that you mentioned. If you already know what the field talks about, you'll exit the entry level roles faster than you can imagine [s]then you go blow with plenty dollars everywhere![/s] cheesy
Thanks for your response boss, At least I won’t waste money for the Asq certification since I can get those jobs without the certificate

Good morning MackyNaija, I will be migrating to the US with an immigrant visa next year, I was searching for certifications that may get me an entry level job as an Engineer/Technician over there, I came across the ASQ certified Quality Technician(CQT) and certified Quality Process Analyst(CQPA) do you think I can get a quality technician, calibration technician, QA analyst etc position with any of those certifications, How valuable are they??
My Second option is to get a Solidworks professional certification, Do you think I can get a job with it too??
Thanks, as I await your response

True, but I still maintain that Ogonis are more populous, remember that although persons from eleme deny it, the elemes are considered Ogonis too. The difference may be that the Kalabaris may be more concentrated in the urban areas (particularly town and mile one axis) Also the same way you are having second thought about voting Cole is the same way others whose natives were not chosen are having about not voting for APC. Like I said it may or may not be a close call. The only factor that may save Wike is that he is performing. And sentiments aside, I being a riverine too(Andoni), I think Wike deserves to continue as governor.
Thank you for saying the Eleme people are not accepting so why are you adding them when they even have a different voting pattern to the Ogonis, Thanks for also for pointing out that Kalabaris are filled in the cities... assuming we want to say the Elemes are Ogonis and number of LGAs determines total population means there are more Ogonis than Ikwerre because there are only 3 major ikwerre LGA's... Emohua, Obio Akpor, Ikwerre added with some side of Port Harcourt LGA...because PH is a mixture of Ikwerre and Okrikas..considering that Obio/Akpor and PH is 90-95% strangers therefore Ogonis are more than Ikwerres

What is my business with one election? I am talking the guber here. As it stands APC are clueless, Shey is it only kalabari votes that will win him the elections. Yes Kalabari have a sizeable number but they are not organised politically in terms of the politics for the brick house (history has shown that) . And mind you, the Ogonis who are more populous are also seeking for the governorship. You are correct that it's whoever shoots fast that wins. We can only watch, seeing that Wike is not Fayose that talks without plans. To be fair I appreciate the infusion of technocrats but maybe some other time not now. What I want is for Wike to complete his 8yrs and move on. Honestly the man is working and let the one we know conclude first. We don't want an ass-licker in Rivers now. We need someone who can stand alone and not owe it to somebody.

It is going to be a tough election until the results come out with an unbelievably large margin. As a rivers man I appreciate the vibrant opposition in the state and I believe that has been one of the reasons Wike is sitting up. Let it continue that way but for now, it's Wike that we know.
Bro, you are right that the kalabaris are never organized bit you are wrong in saying Ogoni are more populated that Kalabaris...just move around you and do a little survey to compare size of kalabaris and Ogoni's...Wike has tried no doubt, I stay in Iwofe and I can testify to how much he made things easier there in terms of Roads...I am just stating Cole will be far tougher than Dakuku ever was... also you have to consider Apc chairman in Rivers State is Oj Amachree who is a strong grassroot politician and also federal might... I am not a politician, I may still vote Wike because of Iwofe road...All I am saying is that it is now under consideration because I am from Kalabari too which wouldn't b the case if Dakuku or even Abe was contesting with Wike

Lol
Can PDP also bring someone from Kalabari?
Where is Wike from?
Wike is Ikwerre, I meant that KalabarI was one of the strongest base for Wike... if he loose a lot of votes there it will be bad for him...if Abe can settle with Amaechi. Bro, there is fire on the mountain, another state facing this problem is Delta State, if James Ibori moves to Apc...Apc may win Delta

There are States APC can't penetrate and Rivers is one of such, I wish Tonye Cole would realize this!
I am from Rivers and Stay in Rivers but Apc has penetrated Rivers state more with this move... The Kalabari's are 1 of the most populated tribes in Rivers State along with the Ikwerres and a strong base for Nyesom Wike...Giving them the Governorship ticket of Apc will make the elections more balanced... I know 3 people who hitherto was saying Rivers is PDP from Kalabari and are now singing Tonye Cole since yesterday... Personally, I am now even contemplating voting For Tonye Cole and I won't believe a week ago that I will consider voting an Apc candidate

Engineer here. Anyone who is familiar with oil and gas projects knows that the construction phase can take at least 2 years, not to mention the time spent on the prior FEED and detailed design phases, and the many value assurance reviews that would have taken place before a final investment decision (FID) was made. Your reduction of the entire lifespan of this project to two years only advertises how ignorant you are of the subject.

The FID for Egina was taken in 2013, that should be about the same time Buhari was distracting the government of the day with complaints about how the clampdown against book haram was anti-north.

I have no love whatsoever for the wasteful PDP regime. But the arrogance you have displayed in your responses while revealing the depth of your ignorance of the subject is too difficult to ignore.
Don't answer them abeg someone who has no engineering knowledge or any knowledge of the oil and gas sector will just come and start vomiting rubbish and calling them fact on the Internet... how can you finish the design and construction of an FPSO in 2 years...even constuction of some parts of the vessels that were
Awarded and started construction in early 2014. So it's Buhari that was responsible then..Don't answer them..

It is nothing political as the world's largest FPSO is not a political achievement of either APC or PDP... All Jonathan did was allow it to be built here in Nigeria... It comprises of 1300 rooms... State of the art... Buhari/ Jonathan had no input whatsoever to the building of this FPSO... So to those shouting buhari did stuff look for another for of advertising your client... He had nothing to do with the building of the FPso being a JV between total and nnpc...
Jonathan was instrumental and nothing more... So it's almost as if he didn't add anything to it either...
But please don't try to sell a lie to the public claiming this was a buhari regime initiative
I don't know which of our past leaders was in charge of that local content policy...but whoever it was either Obasanjo, Yaradua or Jonathan the person played a massive role to the actualization of this

Which energy are they saving?
I honestly do not understand this particular reasoning. Some ladies have sex with their bfs, he spends on them...then time to cook, she says she is saving energy for husband? Which energy pass the one she burnt on top bed?

These things are nothing. As long as he doesn't put a gun to her head. If you love someone, you won't see these things as anything.

You won't go about thinking your effort will be a waste if he 'dumps' you. You just do you best while you can and leave the rest.
perfecto... if you are really in love you won't know when you start during things which to other people Is stupid...although we all have to form jagaban on nairaland cheesy cheesy...Even God gAve his only son because of Love..if you look at that with normal eye won't you call it stupidity
