Nice one! With this your unofficial WES Evaluation it shows you don’t graduate with a First class honor because if you do so it normally start from 3.70/4.0 with WES Evaluation irrespective of your last 60 CS.

What I am saying in Essence is that you have to work hard in both tests (GRE and TOEFL) so as to have a ramified, competitive and catchy application so that there won’t be a problem where with your great gpa you had a Gre score of 290 , TOEFL 79 you know it’s not perfect as it look mediocre to some TOP schools to even respond to your question at all.

So, try to balance it well by having a great GRE score and toelf. Success ahead !

I actually wanted to know if scholarships abounds for the course(s) i.e (Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering or Biosystems Engineering) I mentioned in any of the U.S. schools. From my research so far, I only know of McGill in Canada.
Ps: WES Unofficial gpa 3.54/4 as well as graduating top of my class.

Sorry this is coming late.. Honestly the phone is cool the CONS are not much and insignificant compared to it's PROS. The processing speed and multifunctionality is the best thing I like about the phone.

None of them looks like the steel wool. I was almost heart broken but still didn't give up. I brought out my phone and showed her a picture of the steel wool and to my surprise within a second or two she already knew what it was. I was really happy when I left the store

I finally found what I think is a steel wool.

ie, while the steel wool looks exactly like (grey) cotton wool, the iron sponge is knitted like a sponge with revealing holes.
Your image (to which I quoted above) is an iron sponge and not steel wool.

Visit your local market, some of those who sell iron sponge should have the steel wool.
Check those who sell threads for cooking stove, the green scrubbing sponge and other common kitchen items.
The iron sponge is called ògb'ígwè (ògbó ígwè).

Steel wool looks like grey cotton wool (exactly the image you posted), while the iron sponge comes like 1mm strands of metal ropes weaved normally in an oval shape.
Just go to any normal market near you and ask for iron sponge.

This is a steel wool. If you look at it it's also called the Iron sponge meaning that they are both the same. The name Iron sponge is an incorrect name we all call and it's misleading

I really have the conviction that the iron sponge is actually the steel wool the name(iron sponge) may be misleading.

I looked up for it on Amazon and below is a picture of what I saw. And this is exactly an iron sponge.

Exactly as I thought. But the Kan kan onirin is the iron sponge in english. Iron sponge is mainly made of iron while steel wool is an alloy of both iron and carbon and some other elements (in small quantity). The.Steel wool.is different from the Kan kan onirin.

Good morning everyone. I know this is not the right section. I also know that this is the most active section in this forum and I'm really desperate in knowing where to get a steel wool for my school projet.

I have gone round the whole of Owerri, but I still can't find it. Someone here said I will find it in a mechanic workshop but I couldn't. I have shown so many mechanics the picture of the steel wool but they find it hard to identify what it is as they claim to have never seen it before.

Some other persons said it can be found in the exhaust part of a car and so I went to the exhaust line of the market place but I still could not find it.

Please I'm really tired, frustrated and stressed out and time is ticking on. Can someone please tell me where I can get a steel wool.

I am not a Nigerian. Therefore, I am not verse with the GPA system in Nigeria. I went to school in the States. I have no idea of what you mean by 2:1.

Likewise, the admission boards members of schools in the States may not understand the GPA system in Nigeria. That is why letters of recommendation from your school would come into play whenever they (admission boards in the States)are going through your transcript. There are also centers that can translate the grading system from one country to another.

Maybe a 5.0 on a 7.0 scale in your school would make you a A student (top of the class). And, if this is the case, when converted to the 4.0 scale this GPA would navigate between 3.5 and 4.0.

What I know is that it would be misleading to conclude that 5.0 on a 7.0 scale would be 2.86 when converted to the 4.0 US scale. This isn't a matter of doing just a simple math conversion.

If a student with GPA of 5.0 on a 7.0 scale is on top of his class, then this is definitely not a 2.86 when converted to the 4.0 US Scale.

This is the reason why more information is needed before any conversion is made.

Sorry for being inquisitive here. Are you trying to say that a student being the best in his class after graduation, but with a 2:1, has a possible higher CGPA(like you said above) during the conversion process by the school?

Steel is an alloy that's basically a combination of carbon and iron varied ratios ; while iron is just processed haematite that's been refine. But I'll advise you check a standard mechanic's workshop if you're looking for steel wool.
