Abeg the strike should continue for at most 4months . Make I make money b4 going back to school.Staying at school for almost a month doing nothing but unnecessary spending is not a child's play.
ASUU make una no gree oo.
But thunder and lightning will mix together to strike All of you(ie ASUU +FG).Amen |

Insightful.
In other words ASUU doesn't care about us, the students. No wonder a lecturer told us to go home and dont disturb him even before the strike action started. No wonder A particular lecturer didnt bother to come to class even after the sixth week of resumption. And the other one,at the start of the New semester told us that this SEMESTER may not hold. I thought they had good things in mind for us, but I was wrong.
I see no reason why I still need to be in school by now.I think I'll go back home and maybe find something to learn or maybe find a job to do.I'm tired of surfing the net asking about ASUU meeting.
It's such a pity I found myself in a country like this. And even the president, the solution to this predicament, said nothing about it.It is quite unfortunate.
I wish I was born in AMERICA! |

I know of people who had good grades which was by examination malpractice with low jamb score but come a good chance to secure admission .

Calismart: Me too o.
Its not my statement. Its what they normally say You shouldn't say it annoys you.
Who are you to tell whether it is proper to go to church or not? |
Christianity Etc › Re: 5 Silly Reasons Why Some People Don't Go To Church These Days by Teophilus96(m): 12:25pm On Jul 23, 2017 |
Calismart: I have observed that some people no longer go to church these days due to one silly reason or the other.
Sundays are for rest, yes but you must keep this day holy by going to church and abstaining from certain works.
According to my observation, these are some reasons why people don't go to Church on Sundays these days.
1.They Don't Have Offering Money
It is so right that you should give offering when you go to church but because there is no money on you should not stop you from going.
People has formed the habit of staying at home especially on days of donations or project sundays. This is not good at all. Endeavour to go to church even if you don't have any money for offering or donations.
2. They Don't Have Any New Clothes
This mostly applies to the ladies. Ladies don't pick offence here but i am talking based on what i am seeing.
What happened to the ones you have? Put them on and go to Church, for it is not a place of beauty pageant. You are going there to worship your God and not to showcase your clothes and fashion.
I remember a novel i read in secondary school 'Without A Silver Spoon'. The boy, though i have forgotten his name, had no clothes for Church so he wore his School white and shorts to church on sundays.
The pastor or reverend won't chase you out for not wearing new clothes.
3. A Little Rainfall
I must admit it,i am a victim of this. Just like this morning. It was raining. My brother was preparing for church but i was just in bed wondering whether to join him or no . I later did and before i knew it the rain stopped.
I remember our reverend saying one day that if you don't come to Church because of rain,it means you didn't want to come.
You can get an umbrella or if the rainfall is not what an umbrella can handle, make sure you attend another service session that day.
4. Church Is In The Mind This one annoys me the most.
Some people will say its not a must to go to church every sunday. When you ask them why, they tell you that Church is in the mind.
They always claim to be better than those that sleep in the Church everyday.
4. Midnight Calls And Browsing.
Some people will just stay up throughout the night making calls and browsing but when its time to go to church in the )morning, they can't get up again.
There is God o.
You can add yours.
From>>http://www.storiesmagic.com/2017/07/5-silly-reasons-why-some-people-dont-go.html?m=1 Your statement on that No 4i (Church is in the mind )is what I call Rubbish! |
Education › Re: Screening Based On WAEC Is Rubbish! by Teophilus96(op): 12:07pm On Jul 23, 2017 |
Laive: I buy your idea bro because no secondary school administrator will ever come up openly to admit that their school engaged in malpractice during WAEC or NECO. The struggly now is: get A's and B's so as to gain admission. It doesn't matter how you got it. Too bad! . For the girl who made 9A's, I wish her more success! But she should be ready to prove her "excellence" in all the 9 subjects whenever the situation arises. It will be catastrophic if it is later found out she doesn't merit it. Nemesis will always find a way to pay back. I wish her success in her endeavours if she actually merits it. The almighty has a way of blessing extremely hardworking people. |

oldfoolnigger: I agree with ur point op.
waec has lost its credibility. prior to this point system adopted by schools, waec always record poor pass rate but all of a sudden, waec recorded high pass rate this year cos its results are now use as yardsticks in giving admission. schools now force students to pay money for runs (even missionary schools are not left out in this). so pathetic!.
u are all shades of wrong about the girl.that made A parallels in her waec. go make enquiries about Shalom academy nsukka. most of their students do run away from taking waec exams there cos of their strictness. merit is their watchword.
post utme is the answer I like that part " waec recorded high pass rate this year cos its results are now use as yardsticks in giving admission. " Good point.POST UTME still makes a whole lot of sense than WAEC. |

Xtfield: Not right to generalise. True many schools compromise the exams but there still some who do not. I have worked in two of such schools as a Principal and because the students were well prepared for the exams, they did well without any form of malpractice. For the 10years I worked in both schools, the least result was 89% distinctions (A1 - B3). I own my own school now and my pupils are taught right from primary school not to expect any form of assistance in their examinations. I wouldn't doubt it if someone somewhere tells me that the girl who got A's in her subjects cheated. In as much as I believe there are brilliant students. |

There is no iota of doubt about the fact that there are few schools that doesn't get attached to malpractice. The point is ,WAEC shouldn't be used as criteria for admission into tertiary institutions.Even such malpractice can make an average student get A's in all the subjects and no one except the teachers would know about that. The morals you impact on your students are commendable tho. That's what we want |

How can someone who has like 3 A's and B's in Waec not able to score above 200 in Jamb?Like the other day I saw a post here on Nairaland about someone who smashed maths,Economics and furthermaths but went ahead to fail physics! For God sake it is obvious that the student with such result cheated! Even if it is under probability that such a student might have felt sick on that very day of the physics exam, this scenario is not once neither is twice or thrice we have seen it happen. It is too bad. Some friends who wrote WAEC also had this kind of results.
We all that wrote Waec knows that there are lot of Malpractices when sitting for the exam.In order to curb and prevent low academic excellence in university and to also to prevent incompetent future leaders and mediocrity, let them go back to POST-UTME,because you can't cheat in them both.
This nation is bleeped up. |
