9. Selection is still ongoing but the process is rigorous due to many factors.
10. APLs will roll in between now and March.
11. Relax and pray.
12. The recruitment would be merit-based, it's being monitored closely.

I swear if all you wrote is true, my dear fellow hopefuls, this recruitment exercise is solely in the hands of God. The recruitment exercise is still on going not as fast as we here will want it. Was in Abuja 2days back, confirmed the process is on going internally however it’s not a priority at the moment, national issues taken precedent.

And to add to this issue of 70% on merit

Majority of big corporations and well funded govermental agencies a chunk of the heavy lifting in term of jobs and services provided are done by consultants (local or foreign). So certain departmental roles don’t need ‘merit’ employees to function.
Ability to navigate Facebook is sufficient for certain departmental roles (and hire type)
**before shades are thrown, I applied as GT.

In other departments Merit is a key factor and won’t be comprised even with the longest of legs.

Eg in my opinion Applicants in the core sciences stand a better chances to get in on merit than for example IT, Administrative or HR.

I'm following a group on Facebook called chemtrails. A lot of Americans and Europeans are calling out pharmaceutical companies. The only time they will bring out a cure is when peoples body through evolution begin to fight against diseases that were other wise thought to be deadly, then u will see a cure will suffice from no where just like malaria. Wonder why they quickly cured the american who had Ebola. If it remained in Africa, the more it spreads the more money for the pharmaceutical companies. Constant eating of ordinary bitter leave cures diabetes in some cases. But white man say there is no cure. The Asians on the other hand know this and they have devised their own means of curing diseases. Some of this asian vitamins sold in nigeria work like magic. A woman that i know who had a terrible goitre and was supposed to be operated on after many drugs had been used , she used one of this asian products as the last resort and the goitre started receding till it left. That's why I said the more you look the less you see, the world is evil and demonic manipulations exist everywhere.

As for this DPR job, many people, myself inclusive will get it by God's favour.

Madam, we are talking about oil money here not just any organization. I love to have this job more than any other person but that will not make me tell lies to myself. I know i performed very well and the odds are in my favour, but those politicians are not smiling when issue of NNPC and DPR comes on board. They will hardly take 30% of the said 400 on merit i tell you.

Someone wrote they will never take 30% and from the rumours I'm hearing. It confirms what the person said and that is what is giving me shivers. If it was any other recruitment I would have said OK but the way this politicians they carry DPR and nnpc matter for head is crazy. I'm sure a lot of people here have heard rumours from direct sources and indirect but decide to keep quiet and hope upon hope. But all I know is For us to get to this stage, we have tried and if we get picked its a plus but to believe that politicians will not put their stinking hands on this recruitment is believing that Nigeria is no more a third world country.

I hv heard the list will be released from no where because they don't want unnecessary last minute pressure. So i doubt if the process will be known to share but fingers crossed. The man in charge resumes work officially tomorrow. I have no idea when too...i was told it will be released from nowhere.

The man in charge also has relatives doesnt he. . The list will Also go through ladan abi? Would it also go through minister of petroleum before getting approval. I would like to know. In the process of going through all this people, is the list not liable to be changed at each passing stage? Cus you are the only realiable source that can calm my nerves right now.

It happenned in our department. Every lecturer brought recommendation letter for just 15 positions.

As I am talking to you an associate prof (Reader) couldn't secure admission for his relative in Chemistry Education (not even a competitive course).

That is why many politicians prefer govt contract to civil service job. They can make billions in contract and even establish their children.

Off course, government officials who steal don't put their kids in civil service. Na relatives and friends and have nots who they even consider. Their children are abroad or better still establish them or even put them in the likes of haliburton and chevron. You must note school admission is way different from getting a job and getting a job in an oil company is different from any other kind of job. A proffesor can decide to not help anybody because nobody put him there in the first place. His brain got him there not a god father. A politician cannot say he wouldn't help anybody because most politicians got there by the help of a superior godfather or fathers that they cannot say no to. It is not just money that got them there in the first place but loyalty and godfatherism. Even buhari as the president cannot say no to the cabals who own and run the affairs of this country in their bedroom because they put him there in the first place. If a politician is in a position to help which most are, they help using the same criteria i mentioned above. (Priority). No feelings in politics. Just loyalty and benfits. Politics is different from education. And if malam abubakar or elrufai's sons get to know, no harm in explaining why he had to pick one before the other. That's politics. Another opportunity will come. This is why they stay in power.

My friend's name was on the list of a first class Emir for a lecturing job. He was almost celebrating but he did not get the job.

Politicians only take this serious if their blood/relative/sons of party faithfuls are involved.

In the university, many people cannot get admission even with godfathers. Somebody even paid N50,000 to no avail.

There will be merit, stakeholders will bring their list but everything is under the control of God Almighty.

I agree with you, but I must say among all politicians, they have a list called order of priority. Those people did not get the Job because they were not on their priority. Most politicians have a million and one people asking for one help or the other. They help some because of loyalty and others because of benefit. What this politicians do is to lie to the hopefuls that something funny happened or the list where their names were did not come out when in truth the people who the politicians really want to help is already on that list and have been approved long ago living people like your contacts bemused and thinking the politician is not influential enough when in actual fact he/she was never on the politicians priority in the first place. I dont think any politician will come outrightly that he cannot help or that there are other important people he has to help before you. So they just drag and drag and then promise to set the hopefuls up in another parastatal. This is their modus operandi. Even in schools, like you said they cannot possible help everybody even though they have a list of 500. They just pick based on loyalty and benefits. Hence even knowing a politician is not enough, calling the spirit of the politician while praying must be added so the politician will neither rest nor sleep till he can help you cus trust me to many people are famzing with him. But Like you said anyway. Its God at the end of the day.

We should not also forget that FIRS, NIS, FCSC, NRC, NCAT, Universities, among others also recruited/ are recruiting massively.

DPR is not the only place.

Those that God has blessed with this job, even President Buhari cannot take their slots.

DPR is not the only place but DPR and nnpc are different from all other parastatals. This is oil money we are talking about. The agencies that are the life wire of Nigeria's economy. Your last statement is only what is keeping most of us going but we must not shy away from the fact that in all recruitments, these factors mentioned above actually play a major role in whoever is being picked at the end of the day. This is Nigeria. Only thing sure apart from God fatherism is time and Grace.

Base on sharing formula that i have been hearing u ppl are saying here, Please are we going to have the same list both stakeholders and common man list? Beacause if i came from the same state with minister of petroleum resources for example, then let assume our state has been allocated with 10 slotes, assuming the Hon. minister will bring 8 people from the same state. Is it to say that only 2 slotes will be left vacant for the masses? Someone who know the criteria should help me to answer me please.

This question is what I have also been silently thinking about but because some people here will attack anybody that says otherwise hence I have been quiet. Going by this assertion, it also means anyone from katsina( President) Ogun ( vice president), kwara (senate president), bauchi ( speaker house of rep), delta( minister of state of petroleum and Mordecai ladan the head of DPR, don't no what state he is from. Assuming all this people have candidates, does it mean that masses from this States have little chances. No one can turn down any of the names coming from this people assuming they have their own list?

43 candidates were picked from Katsina state yet FCC approved it with a wave of hand, it only took the intervention of the Senate for the recruitment to be halted.

FCC won’t handle and send the selected list. They will only ask for list of selected candidates to ascertain if the state quota system is adhered to. I work in a Federal Commission and I know 100% how the FCC issue works

So why are some states having more candidates than others?. Why are some states cut off mark higher than others? Someone said the northern candidates are more, does it mean their scores are also the same level as people from the south? Please give detailed answers since you work there.

I think one important factor we are not really paying attention to is Federal Character. Whoever knows a thing or two about how that will be applied should give us some hints.

Really don't no how it works but I am really concerned as federal character diminishes the chances of people who are really qualified. My cousin was not given medicine In Ife because of federal character or quota system as the case may be despite scoring 278 and cut of mark for delta was 280 or so back then. Meanwhile she said someone from another state who got 260 was given medicine. Some people already argued this thing earlier on this thread as i did not really want to comment. Just wanted to be a silent observer. I worry that it might also be the case for DPR and other government parastatals. So it's not about doing well alone, its about your scores meeting your state cut off and at least being among the best 5 in your state since they are not recruiting upto 1000. Most especially time and Gods plan on your life. Silently praying o. I'm really worried. Alternative views are welcome as I think this federal character thing is the ultimate killer and nobody is talking about it.
