That is what is happening presently (replacement of names). I made the final list at FCC, but when i heard what is happening at DPR yesterday i just removed my mind off this recruitment. The chances are now very very slim. Na to just pray
Don't remove your mind. Its not over till the end. A miracle can still happen. I've been an advocate for grace of God and time but Also a realist so that I won't feel to hurt at the end.

This is quite unfortunate.
This isn’t professional by DPR at all.
Removing and slotting names
Yes na. People have been writing it here since, we didn't take it serious. With this latest development. They will remove and slot in names or cut the eh list and add stakeholders.

My brother, we still have a long way to go. We all know how influencial unions are especially NUPENG and PENGASSAN as stakeholders in the O&G sector. How come the modalities of the process was not shared with them since 2016 until now that the final list is ready??
That's why I kept saying it's not possible. Nupeng and pengassan know of everything recruitment in the oil sector. Who are you to fight this people. Except shakur or whatever has no skeleton in his closet. They will bring out dossier on him and use it to threaten and blackmail him. All what is happening is to subdue the man. If he should play ball then they have something against him , if he insist on bringing out that list then the man is truly innocent and free of blemish. This is government service , this is how things are done in this shithole. that 200 for stake holders is small. They will never accept it. Usually its 70:30% 70 for stakeholders and 30 for masses. That is if they want to be generous. If not it is 90:10. And you must be extremely good. 1st class material and mostly engineering. Any other course can be forfeited. Most times they just do the recruitment secretly. Its because DPR has not recruited for a long time so they had to do it formally to bamboozle us. Nnpc still recruited last year. Secretly. So what are we talking about. Cbn as well!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by Tetragramaton(m): 10:03am On Jul 19, 2018
Nobody can paste a copy. It is even worse to see your name there and end up not been called because some names have been removed and some have been replaced. Someone wrote it here some time ago that names can be replaced and another replied him that its not possible because list has been signed by FCC! Can you now see nothing is impossible in this country!

I kept insisting that merit list cannot be 80 or 50%. Marvel was so sure it was. My contact who told me about the calls at the beginning told me merit list is not up to 30%. That it is not possible for the masses in any recruitment to get the larger share. That it has never happened in Nigeria. I also got confirmation that some so called people who started popping out on Monday that they got a call had gotten apl since but waited before posting so nobody will suspect anything. When i say some i meant two confirmed nairalanders. you know yourselves. But you don't owe anybody explanation because If I had someone. I'd do the same too.

Lastly its not over till the end. What is happening now, this tata or whatever his name is cannot be the sheep in a den of lions. Where he is today. Some people also helped him. He is loyal to so many people if not he can loose his job because of this recruitment even before his retirement. He has no choice but to play ball.
This is Nigeria!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There were issues raised concerning the offer given to some applicants most especially those linked to stakeholders. Some DPR staff children that merited it were dropped from the list and that provoked a lot of people. Also, the EH issue is still an ongoing debate. I don’t know whether that has been resolved but the list was ready since Monday.

There is so much tension in the system. Everyone should just pray that everything goes well in the end because the union members are not happy with the situation and they are not ready to give up until everything is done accordingly. Those that haven’t been contacted shouldn’t panic and remain hopeful.

That’s all I know for now.

Good morning.
You mean DPR ex staff? I didn't no staff children are allowed in the same organisation.

Our courses and positions applied for were considered too irrelevant that they gave it all out to stakeholders?

Why even call engineers before social sciences huh

You are truly working in civil service. It's not always rosy as they say. Especially for women. Just keep praying madame. That man might not let you rest till he sees that you are probably transffered. This is usually the case for women in civil service whether married or unmarried. Men can still cope but for women, this is what they go through in civil service. This is why I also mentioned earlier it will do people good to keep their sponsors names secret and keep claiming they have no one. You don't have to be proud or brag for anybody to hate you.

Another thing that got me is when you said he is from your tribe. Maybe wrong but I am certain you or your antagonist are not Hausa. In government service, the best people to pally up with are the hausas. Your Hausa mate can become your boss in a split second, guess what he will carry you along wherever he goes. We southerners are not good people. Talking from experience.

Final list had 300merit candidates and 100 stakeholder candidates. List was taken to FCC, returned to DPR for correction and addition of more names.

DPR wanted to conduct another fresh recruitment this same year to employ an additional 100 staff. Mr Tata decided to give the 100 to stakeholders to ease pressure. Then the list was sent back to FCC that contained 500 names. The 100 ND staff and 500 senior staff summed up to 600.

Let me make this clear, merit was highly considered. If you don’t have access to the list and scores of candidates, you not sure of what you saying. Don’t give up everyone. Time will tell.
Do you have access to everybody's score?

The recruitment is taking a new shape. If they have started giving letters to the 200 special candidates, they have to start giving letters to the remaining 400, they can't sweep this recruitment under the carpet and dash away the hope of candidates on merit!!! We have the tools at hand (SOCIAL MEDIA), I don't care if they have to scrap this recruitment, they just have to be fair to the children of common men. Nothing in this freaking country works, the government has failed us, and they are about wasting 2 freaking years AGAIN! I don't think you should let that happen. I repeat, if sons of common men don't start receiving calls to pick up their appointment letters from next week, WE WILL ASK QUESTIONS. During the last recruitment, the applicant fought really hard, I guess it's right about time current applicants fight for theirs.
I'm sorry you are wasting your time. The same social media will be used against you. Like I earlier stated soon a lot of fake people who knew nobody will start coming out. They will swear they don't no anybody. Its the rule. Nobody talks. I was told that the reason why people keep quiet about who their sponsors are is not because anything can be done, its because your sponsors can be used against you when their tenure expires. For instance, if someone is riding on the back of a minister. Once the minister is gone, people in the office who hated the minister or hated you but could not do anything but happen to be your superiors will first effect a change for transfer. That's what is usually done especially to women in government service. You can be transferred to gombe. Because of all this and so many more, everyone covers their tracks. Like I keep writing. Merit list is not even 50 percent. Yes 200 are for stakeholders. The 400 are for FCC people, DPR people and ex staff whose children are also priority. Before you talk of merit. Again, I write with all confidence merit is not 50% .

Honestly speaking. Why would u collect and come and show off or even mention it here on a public forum. I will keep quiet and wait. When I see few more people have collected here then I might just start praising God and lie that I got it on merit. Anybody that has collected knows a godfather. A powerful one o. At least my friend is under a minister and the other guy is under a governor. There is someone here that knows a senator but she hasn't been called. So even god father get levels o. That senator helped to open her portal when it didn't open for interview. Now the girl is agitated as at yesterday when we spoke. Nobody among the masses have been called. Until next week. If after next week nothing is happening and we keep hearing of new people collecting. My dear this recruitment has gone the way most recruitments go. They start well to deceive the gullible Nigerians and end it with the real MVPs.

It’s ok. Thanks for the information.

First of all, 20% of 400 is 80 which is quite a lot to accommodate all your friends and the rest on the stakeholders list. The fact that these few persons you knew that were connected doesn’t mean the recruitment had few merit candidates. I wish you be posted to Lagos office, I’m sure you will have many things to talk about Mr Tata on this thread. Alternatively ask some persons working @ HQ and they will tell you their own side of the story about that man.
I heard he is a difficult man but he also got to where he is through people who he is loyal too. Do you no he has his own candidates? You give the man to much credit. Nobody is that good in Nigeria . anyway from what I saw it seems its 3 months given for candidates to either accept or decline the offer meaning that resumption is october. Not sure if that's what it means sha. Secondly I heard that some people might decline the offer because of posting.

I just pray I'm taken if not its all good. I must say though, delta, ogun, Lagos, kwara, were very very tough according to my contacts. Look into the stakeholders from there.

You have no idea what is going on. Remember when some candidates received interview invites one or two weeks before the official invite, 26th November, 2017. Those were stakeholders candidates. The same thing is playing out now. There are two batches for distribution of APLs. Hence, the aforementioned names could have strong connections, but that doesn’t mean some of them didn’t make it on merit.
Marvel merit is not 80% . yes the same thing is playing out as stake holders first before merit. Currently I have two people that have gotten. The girl and the other guy who did interview separately in abuja. The guy got his today and he said two other people who he met that day in abuja have gotten theirs. The other one I heard was since June. Another person whose portal was closed on this forum who is my friend and made frantic calls to her sponsor and her portal opened and was called for interview is yet to collect. So not all stake holders have collected either. Perhaps stake holders get level. This two that I know have gotten , One is from the south- south and the other is from the west.Thats all I can dish out for now.

Ferguson I like ypur optimism. But if you are surrounded by the people who have gotten there's and hear what they said about this recruitment, you will react the way the guy is reacting. It is unheard of that fg recuitment is 80% merit. It has never been and there is a code of silence among the stakeholders candidates. Nobody talks. A lot of people on this nairaland has gotten theirs but will not talk . if I have I will not talk because it has become obvious that those that got theirs are highly connected. They will wait for the masses to get theirs before showing off and praising God and you will think they are among the merit This is not to say that some people will not get it on merit but it has never been 80%. Never , this is where I disagree with you. And if by what you quoted that people who have gotten are not more than 50 in number. 50 out of 300 or more candidates is too much and that's just speculation. It could be more than 50 which I am very sure of. No harm being optimistic but we should also be realistic so people can actually start moving on with or without apl.

Remember the friend that I said was called some months back and everyone said it was a lie, She got hers since last week sha. Didn't want to talk so nobody will say I'm lying. I saw it life and direct. Major stake holders candidates have been given appointment letter. It is not 80% merit. No government job of this magnitude and importance have given 80% to the masses. Marvel said some set did interviews long after the masses did. It was true, as I no someone else who did that period too and infact they were just 20 that did in abuja in a hotel. The interviewers from DPR directly told them that "so so so and so is your sponsor hence you have been called separately. We just want to do a formal introduction and no where to place you. Please remember not to allow anybody know about this" .

If I had come out to talk, I no the ever believers of merit and the religious fanatics would have attacked me and called me a liar. Not to dampen anybody spirit but its the right time for me to write what I know. You don't have to believe me. Infact don't believe me. If there is merit, it is few but I feel like the people who have gotten theirs know very powerful people. The masses who I no will be few will get theirs this week to next week. As for me, I had zeroed my mind since when my friend got hers last week and she said she was late as she heard some people had collected since early June. The higher your stake holder the quicker your offer letter.

It is well.

The only way you can achieve all you said is if you drive your bus or keke by yourself. Business is tough in Nigeria particularly if you have an attractive monthly paying job that won't afford you time to do anything else and you want to have a business on the side. Nigerians are some of the most dishonest people in the world. I have an indian colleague in my office who owns two big supermarkets in Lagos and he had to go bring his brother from India to help manage it which is why he makes a lot of profit. Try this with a Nigerian even if he's your family member and you'll regret it. Personally, the only way I can use one million is to buy a 2001 sienna and register it with a transport company and get my agreed proceeds from them monthly.
Its a big risk but its worth taking. Most transporters carry the drivers to take oath. Some people actually do it with fake herbalist just to scare the driver into doing the right thing. I can do it too. I don't think 1 million will cover buying the sienna and registration with a transport company. Or what do I know.

Plus it is very easy to put your money on lock down. It is only illiterates they do all those transport wayo for. That's why buying a brand new keke or tuce tuce is the best not second hand. You cannot spend money repairing anything for at least 6 months. In this age of technology. He must bring sureties, take pictures , sign contracts. They will behave. Nobody wants his pictures flying up and down as a thief. A police man will be there when the contract is being signed. I know all this because I no people doing the business. Its harder for a lay man to enter without making investigations. I'd rather buy a new keke than a second hand car.
BusinessRe: What Would You Do With One Million Naira? by Tetragramaton(m): 6:20pm On Jun 11, 2018
First as I no get job, I know there are two major things that sell no matter what. You can never go broke. Food and transport. If I have one millions naira, I will get myself tuce tuce bus or those small buses as they call it or keke marwa. People keep saying its not easy, the business is not good. Everyone keeps discouraging others from entering it yet you see new keke napep and tuce tuce buses everywhere. My friend got a bus. Those big buses. It plies ikotun to oshodi. A graduate from delsu. He sits mostly in front of the bus sometimes just to monitor the days job. They give him 10k daily. Sometimes they default but most of the time its 10k. Personally, I will buy keke. In a year plus I should be able to buy another one and gain from it before eventually giving it to the person. That's the only way I see people gaining from their transport. Especially keke. If you promise the driver that this keke will be urs in a year plus or two years, he will take care of it. Keke brings in average of 5k daily while tuce tuce is 7k daily. Depending on your area.
