adewaleafolabi: Sure I agree my sister self is a doctor. But what happens when during the surgery PHCN takes light? And the backup gen fails due to it not being serviced on time? or maybe the money for diesel was embezzled ?
haba ,my brother ,i am rolling on the floor with laughter .
naija is not bad as that oooooo
nigerians we dont trust anything that has to do with govt.all this is understandable and i think what can boost the image of our health institution is for goverment officials to stop going abroad for treatment.
if a notable national figure undergoes a major surgery operation in nigeria believe me ppl will know and have more faith in the system.

Princek12: You have just confirmed my point. Organ trafficking is not a viable and sustainable system for a country that wants to safely and adequately provide organs to those in need of organs.

You have to do proper medical testing to determine that the recipient will be the right match. You also have to harvest the organs almost immediately, store the organs on ice or in a machine, and transplant it into the recipient in line. Sometimes this has to be done in a matter of hours.

How can you then go find a donor in India? Kidney transplant is probably one of the few exceptions, where you can remove a kidney from someone who is alive and willing to donate one of his or her kidney. As to the other organs, a viable donor system has to be in place for safety.

Do you think you can just go to buy a liver, lung, or heart like you buy goat meat in the meat market?
my brother , there are standard procedures which must be taken and for our institutions to have carried out almost 90% successful kidney transplant that means they know all these procedures and they rigorously adhere to it. dont forget most of the doctors doing this surgeries are CONSULTANTS FOR MANY FOREIGN HOSPITALS , you need to see what our doctors can do , go to the Caribbeans nigerian doctors are not joked with , they are in high demand even in the usa

what most people dont realize is that the doctors doing all these surgeries in nigeria are all trained abroad, and some are even consultant to many south African and Ghanian hospitals

Princek12: To all those praising the expertise of kidney transplantation is Nigeria, by the way, is there a system for organ donation in Nigeria? A system where an organ donor is identified upon death and the organs are removed and given to the next recipient in line.
i think u need to google human organ trafficking ,
donors abound for human organ for as little as 600 to 1000 dollars
this is just a tip of the iceberg

druid06: I don't think medical surgeries of this complexicity could be done in Nigeria. It's too advance for our surgeons and moreover I don't think there is any hospital equipped for such surgery in Nigeria. If anyone thinks otherwise, please name one institution..
my guy ,dont underrate nigerian surgeons o,they can do it perfectly well PROVIDED THEY ARE GIVEN THE RIGHT CONDUCIVE ENVIROMENT TO OPERATE.nigerian doctors are doing more complicated ones abroad ,why cant they do it here?

iv4fb: @ frosbel, when the definition of 'cult' in the dictionary and online sources suit you, u used it, now define sin and you can't go back to those sources for their definition won't suit your cause.

Mintayo: It is only gullible ppl that will do al that u v said!
Ppl who do nt have d understanding of d scripures-d Word of God!
It is so unfortunate that ppl v turned d men of God to God bt the generalization is what i don't like,d fact that a man of God is doing something wrong doesn't mean all men of God are doing d same!
Ppl shld b careful of what they say to men of God,their judgement is not in anybody's hands,it is in d Hands of God!
that is becos u are ok ,if u are in problem or in a matter of life and death , you will do anything you are asked to do once u are sure that ur problems will be solved
