Pygru: That was how she was jumping about grin for that other thread.
i am not siding deeper life but calling them a cult is what i am trying to prove to them that is wrong
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Kumuyi's Son Apologise, controversy finally laid to rest by texaco1: 11:55pm On Jun 29, 2013
frosbel: - Deeperlife has the impression that it is one of the few remaining light bearers of the true gospel

- they want their members to feel privileged to be part of their church

- they almost worship their pastor

- to leave their church is akin to backsliding even though you may still believe in Jesus

- if you have formed friendships during your time with deeperlife, you lose almost all of them because they are warned that you are dangerous

- if you challenge their doctrines, God help you, because according to them their doctrines are 100% infallible.

If this is not a cult , I truly do not know what else is.

smiley
so those members of redeem that take adeboye as their lord too , they are cultist

babyosisi: There are people that will read you even after the thread is dormant and their eyes will be opened
Focus on them and don't be discouraged by those attacking you
Maybe God wants to set some people free by this wedding and the outcome they are making of it
i am not attacking anybody , i am trying to stress a point ,despite the fact that i cant be a member of deeper life because i find their laws too hard for my life style ,i will not lable them a CULT
calling them a cult is a very strong accusation
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Kumuyi's Son Apologise, controversy finally laid to rest by texaco1: 11:38pm On Jun 29, 2013
frosbel: indeed, it is the same with most churches but not all, and even within cults there are believers who truly love and follow the Lord.

My point is really, it is not up to MAN to determine how we dress, talk or walk, we are led by GOD period.
so celestial church of christ and cherubim and seraphim are cults too?since they have a particular dress code
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Kumuyi's Son Apologise, controversy finally laid to rest by texaco1: 11:34pm On Jun 29, 2013
frosbel: Easy.

I was a member and worker for over 10 years, deeperlife is structured like a company with the CEO at top, and then directors ( pastors ) , managers ( coordinators ) etc etc. The CEO runs the company and has the final say on all matters.

Well this is not how Jesus asked the church to be run, Jesus is the CEO and we are all members in different offices accountable to each other but primarily accountable to God himself.

A CEO church controls what happens among the members, the way they dress, talk, who they interact with, how they think, etc etc, this is how cults work.
ok , i get ur point, but pls isn't this the same set up with all other pentecostal churches ?oyedepo controls everything in his church so also does oyakhimome , so why should deeper life be different
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Kumuyi's Son Apologise, controversy finally laid to rest by texaco1: 11:28pm On Jun 29, 2013
babyosisi: Let us use the dictionary.

cult
/kəlt/
Noun
A system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object.

A relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister.
ok good , now pls how does this apply to deeperlife ,just asking
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Kumuyi's Son Apologise, controversy finally laid to rest by texaco1: 11:24pm On Jun 29, 2013

marvelling: what pisses me off is the nonchalance he is currently displaying. arggh! angry he's acting as if he doesn't owe me anything. liberty reserve crashed, he was broke and needed money to pump into his business again. i was looking for an investment to make at the time. he convinced me to give him money for his business that he'll pay back with interest. 2 weeks later i noticed he has closed shop. i called him and he started telling me bull! angry i wan do am bad! seriously
is it ur money u want or u wan teach am lesson ? angry
When you open one, you'll see the ton of changes. Gmail is still the boss though.

But IMO, the new MSN interface is the best amongst the top three (yahoo, gmail, msn).

See here - http://newcampaignmon.cachefly.net/uploads/images/outlook-com.jpg
i just opened it ,well i guess i will have to start diverting to msn gradually.
but come to think of it .google has so many free applications that makes it stand out.
you know using gmail and google is like watching spain or barcelona ,you definitely know who will win.that is google still tops
