aManFromMars: @Josh: interesting post, but one doesn't have to be a Christian to stand up for the 'right' thing. It doesn't matter if you're religious or not, if you decide to be honest in Nigeria, you'll be derided for doing so.This is something I've been thinking about lately. The the question that keeps crossing my mind is this; With all the corruption, bribery and underhanded deals I've been hearing about, is it possible to be an honest, ethical, business owner, and be successful In Nigeria? |
Logicboy03: no just wondering why she was asking for permission....I was referring to your female delema, or is not to be spoken of here? Oops |
Hi LB. Trouble in paradise buddy? |
Joshthefirst: and what gives you authority to deny her right?Awww... Nice guy... See how easy that was Mr Troll? ![]() |
Alfa Seltzer: “The real satanist is not quite so easily recognized as such”Ummm... Everyone knows you are. ![]() |
Mr Troll: NO!Awwww... Meanie! ![]() |
None
Awww... And I was gonna choose you. ![]() |
I like the "Poachers will be poached" sign Nice! |
Logicboy03: But that might be dangerousQuite possibly! ![]() |
Logicboy03: Haba, take it easy. I am a human being like you.Actually some girls will see you as s challenge. They will go out with you in hopes of converting you. Granted this is not the best scenario for you, but there are those kinds of girls. My dad used to say, "Woman claim they've found the perfect man. Then they spend the rest of their lives trying to change him." So do you go to church to hide the fact that you are atheist? I'm still trying to get past the fact that you are at church. Just wondering. |
Alfa Seltzer: As I lay my head to bed, I pray Satan's aura protect me from the evils of the godly.Hmmm... No Amen |
aManFromMars: Heavy winds from the north... breathe life into this thread... |
Smile... You two... I gotta shake my head guys. ![]() |
Alfa Seltzer: You sound afraid of us. Don't be. We are harmless. I want to invite you to our next retreat in December when we celebrate the birth of the nazarene. Contrary to popular beliefs, he was a gift to us.Smiling Bless your heart. Glad you are good. ![]() |
Mr Troll: Lol. You honestly thought it was gonna be that hard? For an american 1st timer to Nigeria, there's a greater chance of landing in Lagos FIRST before going to other places. . . Anyway, i hope you enjoy your stay. Thanks I was being sarcastic btw. I've notice you and sarcasm are good mates. ![]() I thought I'd give it s try. ![]() |
OK...question Explain to me why this is a big deal. I've heard others complain about this. Is there some prize for being online the longest,? Is it seniority? Doesn't it just show we have way to much time on our hands? Someone explain please. |
Alfa Seltzer: Join us.Sorry. Not a chance in hell. (Couldn't resist that one) ![]() How are you this fine day Alfa? ![]() |
Alfa Seltzer: No it isn't.This does not surprise me at all. It goes right along with your master's plan. You are definitely a good follower. |
Mr Troll: lol. Its your call really. There's nothing to be scared of. Its not like somebody here will start searching the whole of, say Lagos for Tex ![]() I guess you are right. |
Afam4eva: I just googled for the city and it seemed like a a peaceful, calm and liveable town. Btw, how do you Nigerian find these places that seem off the radar. There's nowhere in world you don't find Nigerians. I won't be surprised if there are Nigerians who like in Omaha, Nebraska, Maine or even AlaskaI'm actually American. Because of the university and the many hospitals and doctors offices, we have a large community of foreigners. We have a few international markets because of this. Anything they don't stock, I'm sure they can get. That's the thing about Texas, the people are pretty friendly. Especially in the 'villages'. ![]() |
Afam4eva: Chai. Shey no be those places for Texas where dem dey act horror movies? Not even San Antonio, Austin, Laredo?Hahaha No it is not one of those places. Texas Tech University is here. Google it. It is a rapidly growing city. |
Afam4eva: Which big city is close to Lubbock. I'm very particular about big cities. It is not close to any that you mentioned, but weekends in any of them would not be out of the question. |
I actually find this funny. Nice one ! ![]() |
Afam4eva: I intend starting my own IT firm but first, it won't be a bad idea to work for some company for some time. I'm leaving Nigeria to put mind and sould together and then return much later. If i remain in Nigeria, i might join Ogboni. My head wan scatter for here.Come to Lubbock, TX. Lubbock Independent School District is looking for IT personnel. They got a federal grant to upgrade all technology in the entire school district. Lots of technology, no one that knows what to do with it. It is also a great city for starting a business. ![]() |
Mr Troll: oh really? Which part of 9ja?Is it really wise to announce it for all to see? |
