Reducing price of Fuel to 300 or 400 is possible. If the FG don't do that then it's extremely deliberate attempt to embezzled more funds from the masses. We are indeed slaves to this men. |

Salewa97: VeryDarkMan should understand that Tinubu is a leader who knows how to handle situations wisely. A curfew might not be the best solution, but I trust Tinubu to take the right steps for the safety of the people. We need to trust in his judgment and support him as he navigates these challenges. Trust which judgment? Oh please, if he's smart enough he will have curtailed this with smart policies. Rather he was so concerned about generating revenue from the masses not minding the effect |

Business › Re: Tinubu’s Order Won’t End Dangote Refinery Woes – Experts by Teymanhenry(f): 6:03pm On Jul 30, 2024 |
budaatum: I have always found it amusing when Nigerians claim Nigeria is rich because we have oil. The above shows how poor our nation actually is.
Dangote should buy crude oil wherever he finds it. His refinery is after all large enough to sell outside Nigeria, so getting foreign exchange should not be a problem.
He also should sell in Nigeria at a profit. Sorry folks, but that does mean at likely twice or triple the current price. He after all did not build it as a charity to feed anyone. Though Dangote is not running a charity organization, if the FG is selling 450,000 barrels of crude to him for local sales to Nigerians. I don't think it will be sold at a more expensive rate. They can negotiate and even subsidize the price self since it will completely be sold locally. My concern for Dangote is how does he sources crude to export outside of Nigeria |
Politics › Re: FEC Orders NNPC To Sell Crude Oil To Dangote, Other Refineries In Naira by Teymanhenry(f): 7:18am On Jul 30, 2024 |
The move though commendable is done as a result of FG's fear of the protests. Dangote needs 15 cargoes and FG is giving him 4. If he is buying at the same rate that international buyers pay, why not sell more to him since there is a high chance his fuel will be sold at a cheaper rate to Nigerians factoring lesser landing cost, lesser tax, transportation cost and all. |

Godszilla: https://dailytrust.com/explainer-benefits-of-fuel-subsidy-removal/ Says funds from Subsidy removal will be used to enhance Education etc. when school fees of Government tertiary institutions especially universities have been more than tripled. Their is no denying that the removal of fuel subsidies will fetch the government N400b or N800b monthly. But this money will be used to buy Yatch and Planes for those in power. The people are hungry, and the government have not provided a clear path or timeline to remove that ginger. Fuel subsidy removal has caused untold hardship for the common man. Anyone who doesn't understand this is not facing the hardship. This is not uncommon for Nigerians not to feel the pains of their neighbors anyway. How do you explain to me that my monthly salary that can buy 7 bags of rice and remain cannot buy two bags? How do you explain to students who used to pay N45,000 as school fees then that paying N150,000k is fair now. Meanwhile their have been zero infrastructural development in the schools. Subsidy removal added more harm than good to the country jare |

Salewa97: Tinubu's daughter is speaking the truth. The safety of our youth should be paramount.
Her message resonates deeply, especially in these turbulent times. It's vital for everyone to prioritize dialogue over violence.
We must protect our future leaders, not put them in harm's way. Let's work together for peace and progress in Nigeria. The reasons for the protest is enough dialogue. Reverse fuel and electricity subsidies. They have clearly caused hardship, hunger and death amongst innocent citizens. Ask yourself this. What have the subsidy removal benefited us as a nation? |

OkCornel: “Nobody has asked for our collaboration so how do you expect us to participate in a protest when we do not know who is organising it or even the institution,”
Hunger does not need permission for collaboration.
August 1 no too far again.
Bring down price of fuel and foodstuffs, and this protest dies a natural death.
What stops the government from providing Dangote with subsidised crude and then agree the final price at which fuel is sold?
What is stopping the government owned refineries from working despite spending over $40 billion in maintenance from 1999-2024? The amount spent that can give us two brand new Dangote refineries!
Whose interest is the government really protecting? Cabals of course. Tinubu will everything to stop the Dangote refinery from buying crude oil from Nigeria. Many Nigerians don't know that Tinubu owns a refinery in Malta |

skultrick: Only jobless people will protest. In all my life I have never joined any protest in Nigeria. The reason is because we are not a nation. We are not one people. The igbo man has no business being in same country with the yoruba man. Likewise, the yoruba man has no business being in the same country with the hausa man. The worse of it all is the igbo sharing same country with a fulani man.
I mean we are people of different ideologies.
Look at Europe, every tiny ethnic group have their country.
No protest can genuinely work I'm Nigeria.
BTW, the yeye northerners did protest during buhari tenure, it is tinubu tenure they want to protest.
Even the yeye endsars where many died for nothing they didn't protest. Instead they were looting people's business.
If this rubbish protest ever holds, many businesses will cry because all these hungry thieves will use that as an opportunity to steal people's hard earned money, of which the Igbo man will suffer the biggest casualty.
I urge every igbo man to arm themselves with cutlass and guns if possible.
To all the yeye obedients urging igbo people to join the protest, respect yourself and have Sense for once.
Any igbo man that joins this the northerners to protest is the BIGGEST F**L ON EARTH.
The northerners obviously want to destroy tinubus government. They hate to be out of power.
Again, I repeat, any stu**pid Igbo man leaving in the east or anywhere that joins this protest is an id**ot.
The fact is that no amount of protest will change the current reality Nigeria is facing. What we are facing now is the after effect of too many corruption, nepotism and every other rubbish.
From August, just like during endsars, I will Watch and read from my phone as zombi**es get killed. Change starts from you. That's the genesis of change. When you sit and hide in the comfort of your home cowarding nothing will never change |

Zonefree: Men should try and learn how to cook. Don't allow any woman hold you hostage because of food.
If she refuse cooking, enter kitchen, make your meal, eat and bounce. Then, deprive her of things she normally gets from you.
I hate to see men complain about food every time. Cooking is a basic survival instinct not gender based. I'm Nigeria, because the man normally goes through a hell of a burden getting married to the woman according to tradition, the woman will have to perform her traditional duties. If we want to copy the oyinbo lifestyle marriage, we should scrap our traditional marriage too |

Before Dangote started selling diesel, they were selling diesel as high as #1800 per liter claiming dollar is high and scarce, it was Dangote who crashed the price to what it is now... I wander why the importers are no more selling their diesel 1700 per liter even though dollar is still high and scarce He has openly announced that he will sell petrol at less than N400 per liter. On hearing that, they are doing everything possible to bring down his refinery. These people want to rip us by any means. |
