I have always found it amusing when Nigerians claim Nigeria is rich because we have oil. The above shows how poor our nation actually is.

Dangote should buy crude oil wherever he finds it. His refinery is after all large enough to sell outside Nigeria, so getting foreign exchange should not be a problem.

He also should sell in Nigeria at a profit. Sorry folks, but that does mean at likely twice or triple the current price. He after all did not build it as a charity to feed anyone.

Though Dangote is not running a charity organization, if the FG is selling 450,000 barrels of crude to him for local sales to Nigerians. I don't think it will be sold at a more expensive rate. They can negotiate and even subsidize the price self since it will completely be sold locally. My concern for Dangote is how does he sources crude to export outside of Nigeria

The move though commendable is done as a result of FG's fear of the protests. Dangote needs 15 cargoes and FG is giving him 4. If he is buying at the same rate that international buyers pay, why not sell more to him since there is a high chance his fuel will be sold at a cheaper rate to Nigerians factoring lesser landing cost, lesser tax, transportation cost and all.

Says funds from Subsidy removal will be used to enhance Education etc. when school fees of Government tertiary institutions especially universities have been more than tripled.
Their is no denying that the removal of fuel subsidies will fetch the government N400b or N800b monthly. But this money will be used to buy Yatch and Planes for those in power.
The people are hungry, and the government have not provided a clear path or timeline to remove that ginger. Fuel subsidy removal has caused untold hardship for the common man. Anyone who doesn't understand this is not facing the hardship. This is not uncommon for Nigerians not to feel the pains of their neighbors anyway.

How do you explain to me that my monthly salary that can buy 7 bags of rice and remain cannot buy two bags? How do you explain to students who used to pay N45,000 as school fees then that paying N150,000k is fair now. Meanwhile their have been zero infrastructural development in the schools. Before Dangote started selling diesel, they were selling diesel as high as #1800 per liter claiming dollar is high and scarce, it was Dangote who crashed the price to what it is now... I wander why the importers are no more selling their diesel 1700 per liter even though dollar is still high and scarce

He has openly announced that he will sell petrol at less than N400 per liter. On hearing that, they are doing everything possible to bring down his refinery. These people want to rip us by any means.
