Politics / Dauda, Touching Lives: A 5th Anniversary Of A Performing Adamawa Hor Lawmaker by TGNEWS(m): 7:06am On Jun 13
By
Tom Garba

On June 13, 2023, when President Bola Ahmed Tinubu issued a proclamation announcing the commencement of the legislative activities of the Nation Assembly, Rt Hon Zacharia Dauda Nyammpa, officially assumed office for the second term as the House of Representatives (HoR) Member representing the good people of Michika/ Madagali of Adamawa State. This is to say Dauda is marking his fifth year as a ranking House of Representatives (HoR) federal Lawmakers.

But long before that day marked that his historic journey for him and the people of Michika/Madagali, Nyampa had hit the ground running. The moment his victory was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following his shocking defeat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Hon Joseph Kwada (Depolis) by a landslide, he began moves to consolidate his earlier groundwork on the needs of his constituents in the Adamawa Northern Senatorial District to gain more of Democratic dividends.

Since taking charge as the lawmaker representing the good people of Michika/Madagali, Dauda had a background as a Financial expert, a chartered account and a fellow of USA, and UK accountants, and his first term of Representation (2019-2023) was a testament of a good leader who is so dear to his people.

Many would say that Dauda's ascent to political prominence at a relatively young age is a testament to his capabilities and the trust placed in him by the people of Michika/Madagali. His accomplishments have already left an indelible mark on the political landscape of his state. His ability to bring people together, irrespective of party lines and Party differences, and his unwavering dedication to the welfare of his constituents are qualities that have not only distinguished him but have also earned him the respect of both his colleagues and the general public.

Dauda has indeed been up and doing with the ultimate aim and objective of positively touching the lives of his constituents. This man of amazing Grace has continued to triumph over the vicissitudes of his political life, trials, tribulations, and torments from his political foes even before he won the coveted seat to represent his people in the National Assembly. After trouncing his opponents in the 2023 National Assembly election, he was made to pass through the furnace of fire, as his adversaries amassed false allegations targeted at truncating his electoral victory.

But trust the Man of Destiny, Dauda weathered the storm and came out unharmed from the furnace fire of political attacks of his opponents. All you see in him is a Young Man driving with vision and admiration to deliver the dividends of democracy for his people. He decked around fortunes of excellence representation and eyeing opportunities in the national assembly to scramble what is good for the people of Michika and Madagali.

In his zest to bring development in the state, most importantly to the people is having their voice heard strongly in the national assembly. As a matter of urgency and public interest, the visionary and focused leader in his fifth year of giving good stewardship to the people is vigorously sponsoring three people-oriented bills.

A bill for the establishment of the Federal University Of Solid Minerals and Development Michika which has passed a second reading will soon be for public hearing. This was unmasked his excellent performance on the floor of the Green Chambers and it's no doubt worth a celebration.

The other bill sponsored by Dauda is for the establishment of a Federal College of Medical Laboratory Technology (Michika) and Federal College Of Nursing And Midwifery (Madagali.) are also receiving last attention on the floor of the house for second and third readings respectively.

Other bills sponsored by Nyampa are the National Cotton, Textile and Garment (CTG) Development Council (Establishment) Bill, the 2024 Establishment Bill (2022) for the Chartered Institute of Local Government Administration, and the Bill for the establishment of the National Directorate of Employment Act (Amendment) 2023 will soon pass into law.

Nyampa has an amendment bill of 2023 for the Institute Of Chartered Accountants in Nigeria Act Invalidation of $2.4 Billion Forward Contract Deals by the Central Bank of Nigeria (HR. 90/02/2024) and the Amendment act of Agricultural Research Council Of Nigeria is getting fast attention.

Dauda who has come up with the agenda to liberate the Youth of his Constituency, designed a template to generate Youth employment. He goes ward by ward to make sure that many Youth areas are employed. Many of them are in Nigeria Military, immigration, Nigeria customs services, Prisons, the Navy, the Nigerian Police, and the Nigerian civil defense. Many of them also have gained employment with several. tertiary institutions across the country as Lecturers and others belong to the nonacademic as civil servants.

During his five years in office as the representative of the people of Michika and Madagali, the visionary der as a matter of concern up the burdens of many people because of the economic backlash. He always distributes food and nonfood items as palliatives to all the political wards. His supports for the less privileged in the area of Business, in the area of Education by paying their school fees, facilitating their admissions into higher institutions, and the payment of WEAC, and NECO for those in their final years in secondary schools.

Community service delivery to showcase his inclusive representation, Dauda constructed Many boreholes in the communities of Michika and Madagali and constructed a block of classrooms in almost all the wards in his constituency. He facilitated the construction of bridges, especially those destroyed by Boko Haram menace activities, and roads were constructed in many communities.

Dauda has one of the best empowerment programs in Adamawa State, this he does in different areas of endeavors, especially for artisans, Farmers, and small and medium enterprises individuals by providing them with sewing m agricultural mechanized equipment, improved seeds, fertilizer, and capital. To many others over the past five years, he gave vehicles esp, especially to the political wards in Michika and Madagali.

His vision for the Youths is underlying and his call to them at all times is to pursue and make sure they have access to education while assuring them that he will work hard to see to the establishment of the schools with a follow-up of its bill third reading in the sooner possible time.

His five years in office have changed the perception of many people on how they see Dauda, including myself. This is because he surprised many people with the way and manner he represented them in the national assembly. His bills and motions, his community services, his empowerment, and his voice being heard all the time for the people have made me see Dauda as a Man whose destiny is called to serve, and his leadership strides are to develop and improve the lives of people.

Suffice it to say that Dauda has been sacrificial and forgiving while at the same time exhibiting values of love, peace, joy, patience, kindness, humility, gentleness, and meekness. He has forgiven his enemies and traducers seventy times seventy and has moved on. He’s a man who doesn’t bear malice against anyone. He has continued to trudge on with his eyes on the ball, shunning unnecessary distractions, despite the various shenanigans by his political opponents and enemies within even the PDP in his constituency and Adamawa State as a whole. He has continued to place service to the people before his personal considerations and self.

For all these, I remember him today as he marks his fifth anniversary in office. While celebrating him as a leader of thoughtful character and genuine love for his constituents. I wish him all the best and pray for him to grow above his weaknesses and primordial sentiments as he continues to support Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State who is changing the narrative, and recreating history in the state. Congratulations Sir.

Nairaland / General / Sir James: The Man In Benue SEMA And The National Honor, becoming NIPSS Amb by TGNEWS(m): 5:56pm On Jun 09
By
Tom Garba

He wears the royalty looks, he has the physical fitness and the unimaginable intelligence of a Humanitarian whose passion is to touch humanity and transform lives.

Sir James Aondokar Iorpuu, a Man with approachable tempos and a ruddy face is attractive to see in his leadership traits. Is the Man in Benue State Emergency Management Agency, which is well known as Benue SEMA.

James' wealth of experience as a civil servant, and his prowess in serving humanity made him prominence in and outside Benue State, a testament to his capabilities and the trust placed on him by Rev Fr Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, Governor of Benue State to head the Benue SEMA having been known of his footprints of indelible records of good leadership strides anywhere he finds himself. His work as a leader of thought speaks volumes. His accomplishments have become uninsertable not only in Benue SEMA but also in the political landscape of the state. His ability to bring people together in difficult situations, irrespective of religion, tribe even place of origin has been one of the unique marks of good leadership sense noticeable to him.

Sir James' unwavering dedication to the welfare of Benue people as the executive secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) are qualities that have not only distinguished him but have also earned him the respect of both his colleagues and the public.

Sir James on assuming into office (SEMA) a few months ago, Benue people quickly noticed the big gap, the difference between the former and the latter of a triangle leader who came with a lot of innovation and transformation blueprint not only to manage the many crises along communal disagreeing party in the state but to get off the root causes of the many crises and hitherto bring rescue, healings and bring succor to those in dire need.

Benue SEMA was created by the State lawmakers in 2006, enacted by an act with the mandate of establishment to respond to emergencies disaster areas, and recovery services for the people of Benue State. But from 2006 the impact of why it was created was negligible, with a rather say zero performance. The sad story of the then Benue SEMA was how food meant for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) found in the Kano State open market in 2021. A bad story till today broke the heart of many stakeholders.

Sir James came around with the change story of a good Nigerian and a Man with a special love for the people of Benue State. He began to change the ugly trend of events in the agency with a sort of super sonic movement. After a few months in office, the trust placed in him by Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia has since started yielding results. Under Sir James, the agency is getting much acceptance by the global Humanitarian community with trust in delivering and taking care of people in distress.

Sir James's few months in office came with a zeal disposition, open-mindedness, and honesty driving the agency to achieve greater results and has attracted many international Humanitarian organizations Including the UN organizations to work in the State. James' focus in SEMA is solution-oriented, his Youth employment drive of over 200 and training them as IDP camp managers and protection officers remain one of the creative abilities that are being celebrated in Benue State.

James' ability to consult widely and involve critical stakeholders in making sure SEMA changes the ugly narratives where food and nonfood items are wisely and timely distributed to concerned individuals is has been a talk of the town. His ability to properly engage the International Organization for Migration (IOM) immediately after he take over the office is helping Benue State have a verifiable number of the displaced population in the State. A template that Many state Executive secretaries (ES) are borrowing to effectively serve their respective states.

Under Sir James' watch as the driver of Benue SEMA a state-of-the-art modern conference hall for coordination and training currently is being constructed at the SEMA headquarters IOM, UNHCR, and other partners are carrying out biometric capturing of the IDPs across the 14 IDP camps and those in host communities.

Sir James has indeed been up and doing with the ultimate aim and objective of positively touching the lives of his people. Of course, according to analysts and watchers of governance in Benue State, revealed that the failure of the “flawed strategies” of his predecessors, and the meteoric successes James has recorded within one year of Governor Alia's assumption Into office, it’s easier to concur that he’s been delivering regarding his responsibilities to the people.

This man of amazing Grace has continued to triumph over the vicissitudes of his enemies and distractors. But trust the Man of destiny, He weathered the storm and came out unharmed from the furnace fire of political, tribal, and ethnic attacks of his opponents. All you see in him is a Man driven with vision and admiration to deliver the dividends of democracy for the people of Benue State. He decked around fortunes of excellent leadership and eyeing opportunities both within and outside the shores of Nigeria to scramble what is good for the people of his dear State.

No wonder recently, he bagged the National Leadership Award on grassroots development through the office of the special assistant to the president on logistics who believes that his valuable contribution to the grassroots and the Nigerian population in general can never go unnoticed.

Sir James' participation in the 49 Policy and Strategy Leadership Course (PSLC) of the Nigerian Institute and Policy Studies (NIPSS), Kuru in Jos has also earned him the PSLC emblem and awarded him a certificate of a policy maker and implementor of sound policies, strategies for humanity sake. There's no doubt that the number one Man in Benue SEMA is becoming a true ambassador of the policy highest ranking institute in Nigeria (NIPSS) which is a recommendation and a thumbs up to a Worthy ambassador and alumni of great reputation.

Suffice it to say that Sir James has been sacrificial and forgiving while at the same time exhibiting values of love, peace, joy, patience, kindness, humility, gentleness, and meekness. Is moving on to make sure Benue State is peaceful for all, to make sure there's tranquility and peaceful co-existence in all parts of the state.

He has continued to trudge on with his eyes on the ball, shunning unnecessary distractions. He has continued to place service to the people before his personal considerations and self.

For all these, I join others to say a big congratulations for the well-deserved award. While celebrating him as a leader of thoughtful character. I wish him all the best and pray for him to grow above his weaknesses and primordial sentiments. Once again congratulations Sir James.

He was tarred with various brushes that were at variance with his real personality and labelled with different names. His political enemies and detractors made incessant desperate efforts to forcibly wear on him the cloak of a villain with their series of spurious allegations, especially concerning the authenticity of winning the election.

But trust the Man of destiny, Aliyu weathered the storm and came out unharmed from the furnace fire of political attacks of his opponents. All you see in him is a Young Man driving with vision and admiration to deliver the dividends of democracy for his people. He decked around fortunes of excellence representation and eyeing opportunities in the national assembly to scramble what is good for the people of Fofure and Song.

In his zest to bring development in the state, most importantly to the people is having their voice heard Strong in the national assembly. To as a matter of urgency and public interest, the visionary within one year of giving good stewardship to the people, is vigorously sponsoring two people oriented bills.

A bill that will establish a Federal College of Education (Technical) in Fofure has passed second reading, heading to third for public hearing.

According to him the college when established it Will offer courses of study in both specialized courses of study to including teaching instructions and training in technology, applied science, arts, management, agriculture, sciences, humanity and social sciences.

He said the purpose of the college is borne out of the fact that there is no federal college of education (Technical) in Adamawa State at the moment. And the establishment of the federal college of education in Fofure is in the right direction to widen up the scope of access to education to the people of Fofure, Adamawa State as well as all Nigerians.

His second bill for the establishment of the Federal College of Health Technology Song is another bill that breaks the Camel's back for the people of Adamawa State to enjoy more dividend of democracy with better representation.

Aliyu said the Bill for enacting a Health Technology institution Song has also passed a second reading at the hallow chamber of the National Assembly of the House of Representatives. The objective of the bill for the college is to have courses of study in health-related leading to having professional diplomas as deemed fit by the institution's governing council.

Boya while seeking the passage of the bill to pass second reading craved the indulgence of other Lawmakers to understand that the country needs more health professionals to curb the health challenges of people at the grassroots.

Aliyu reminded his colleagues that Nigeria's Population is growing in a geometric manner and the steady continuity of the population bring about the need to train more health professionals to improve the health needs of Nigerian citizens.

He recalled the outbreak of Ebola diseases about ten years ago and the coronavirus disease in 2019 have underscored the need for Nigeria to to have enough efficient health professionals that will be readily available when there's any health emergency.

The certainty in him to have the school established it would be One of such colleges where Health professionals are trained. It's to educate healthcare personnel who can work as a team, provide comprehensive health care to individuals in any community (urban and rural) in the nation, and be up to date on issues of global health relevance." The bill read

Aliyu believe that if the college is established in Song, it will boost the economic activities of the area as Many indirect jobs would be created.

Aliyu enjoined the Youth of Adamawa State and its environs especially those in the Song and Fofure Local Government area pursue and make Sure they have access to education , while assuring them that he will work hard to see to the establishment of the schools with a follow-up of its bill third reading in the sooner possible time.

These bills have made me to see Aliyu as a Young Man whose destiny is called to serve the people and his leadership strides is tie to development and improving the life of people.

Suffice it to say that Aliyu has been sacrificial and forgiving while at the same time exhibiting values of love, peace, joy, patience, kindness, humility, gentleness, and meekness. He has forgiven his enemies and traducers seventy times seventy and has moved on. He’s a man who doesn’t bear malice against anyone. He has continued to trudge on with his eyes on the ball, shunning unnecessary distractions, despite the various shenanigans by his political opponents and enemies within even the APC in his constituency and Adamawa State as a whole. He has continued to place service to the people before his personal considerations and self.

For all these, I remember him today as he mark his birthday anniversary. While celebrating him as a leader of thoughtful character and enginuis in his ways. I wish him all the best and pray for him to grow above his weaknesses and primordial sentiments. Happy birthday sir.

Politics / One Yr Assessment: Tinubu Is On Tract, Let's Give Him A Little Time- Medegu by TGNEWS(m): 4:41pm On Jun 06
By Tom Garba, Yola

A Stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Mallam Hamisu Idris Medugu rated the one-year anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's government to be in the right direction for the benefit of all Nigerians.

Idris who contested the senatorial seat of Adamawa Northern zone said the one-year stewardship is not the best parameter or the yardstick for passing a judgment.

He said passing judgments by Nigerians on Tinubu to have failed over his one year in office is not fair at all as according to Mallam Idris the current administration has sound policies and has implemented them to be a succor to Nigerians.

He praised Tinubu for suppressing the waging strength of the dollar to the Naira which was initially 1, 900 Naira at the exchange rate to a Dollar, and the construction of the Lagos -Calabar road is another giant economic achievement of the Tinubu administration.

He said the Lagos -Calabar way will boost the country's economy and revive a lot of socio-economy activities in the North and South of the country.

The hopeful Senator for Adamawa Northern Senatorial District called on Nigerians to give President Tinubu the benefit of the doubt and ant to cast aspersions on the government.

His confidence in Tinubu's administration made him tell Nigerians that the current government needs a little more time for onward massive development and economic revivals. Most especially to the people of the north as he has awarded the construction of Lagos Kano, and Lagos to Sokoto roads.

Idris revealed this when he paid a familiarization courtesy call to the members of the correspondent chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) where he assured them that the APC government under Tinubu's watch is ready to work for Nigeria.

He said what makes the Tinubu government appear anti-people is the issue surrounding the removal of the fuel subsidy he announced during his inauguration day.

He said in terms of economic policies he has them in bulk and are ready for implementation in no-distance time.

He commended the administration of Tinubu for taking the plights of Nigerians on the front burner of leadership to change their story.

He however called on them to be patient with the government because of the posture of development he vowed to achieve despite the glaring economic realities of Naira's downfall.

He donated a plasma television set to the correspondent chapel as the place was previously burglarized by miscreants and did away with all the electronic gadgets in the office.

Politics / EYN Church Event Unites Fintiri, Abbo, Suppose Political Arch Enemies by TGNEWS(m): 4:39pm On Jun 02
By
Tom Garba

It was a hilarious moment, an exchange of pleasantries and laughter, joy by many people during an event of the Ekklisiyar Yan'uwa a Nigeria (EYN) otherwise known as the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria's (CBN) inauguration of newly elected officials in Kwarai, Mubi as they beheld the Governor of Adamawa State, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and His Brother and Political Friend, Senator Ishaku Abbo had hot hugs, shock hands warmly.

Fintiri and Abbo became the center of attraction to thousands of worshippers who admired their show of Love and reunion and who are known across the state as perceived political archenemies.

Before now, in building up to the 2019 general elections, Fintiri and Abbo were best of friends and the latter was a known fierce enemy of the then All Progressives Congress (APC) who fought the party tooth and nail as a Senatorial candidate (PDP) of the Adamawa Northern zone and supported the victory of the former in great measures.

Abbo was no doubt the warrior champion and one of the think tanks of the victory against the incumbent Governor who was the APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla Bindow.

Despite Bindow's massive development in the state consider the watersheds achievements that Fintiri is building on in transforming Adamawa State now, the crack in the then APC gave Abbo and any strong supporter of Fintiri a leeway to oust Bindow.

Fintiri and Abbo fight became into the public domain when Abbo won the Senatorial seat and their fight was rumored because of how positions and appointments of the cabinet against Abbo were not well factored into the sharing Since then, their paths and political ways have not to crossed Again. They have never been seen in any public or private function this way.

They parted ways, Abbo pitched his tent in 2023 and fiercely worked against Fintiri and Fintiri worked with all his political assailants, asking them to deploy their deadly missiles of war against Abbo Never to return as a senator, but the conqueror Abbo returned and Fintiri the political Lion of Adamawa politics also returned.

The by and large of the whole scenario, their feud was characterized by media banters and rigmarole. To others was a public fanfare of two Elephants rocking the political ground. While to many others was a big shame that two political good friends and Brothers messing up a rare opportunity to thrive well in the political atmosphere of a cancerous state like Adamawa.

On the eve of the 2023 general elections, the cross carpeting of Abbo to APC was more of a battle line drawn, showing a red alert if any of the duo cross the deadly line of the political game.

Abbo worked wholeheartedly in the interest of APC and supported Senator Aishatu Ahmad Dahiru Binani, the sole candidate who gained the chance to own the gubernatorial ticket.

But the inauguration of the EYN's Newly elected officials brought the two rivals into one tent and the two were in good mode to the surprise of many admirers.

One cannot tentatively say that the meeting of the two is a sign of great reunion and forgiveness has taken place because the Church in Adamawa State over the years through high-power delegations organized meetings that ended up in deadlocks to unite them.

The reaction of people suggests that it's high time for the two to forgive their differences and forge ahead for a better Adamawa State if they truly have the state at heart. While to many it's just a mere meeting that will never see light at the other end of the tunnel. The meeting will never see them united more so the two are in two different parties and Abbo will never agree to sheath his swords because of how Fintiri supported Senator Amos to get him out of office using a "court sponsored judge against him." Abbo in many instances alluded that the judgment against him "was a cash and carry pronounced by a bought over Judges" for monetary gains.

To many others also, the EYN event that brought Abbo and Fintiri may not lead to a sincere peace pack agreement because Senator Abbo may be nursing ambition to return back to Senate in 2027, and Fintiri may likely resort to the same senate seat in 2027 while the Faith of Senator Amos may be hanging out in the space of uncertainty or at most it will be a swinging pendulum that can only be decided by political forces and chances.

For me, their unity will spur development for the state and their camaraderie will give the state a sense of peace and unity even if they remain in their respective parties.

Crime / You Have A Case To Answer On The Falsification Of ATBU Documents+ Lawyer Tells C by TGNEWS(m): 7:29pm On May 24
By Tom Garba, Yola

A highly criminal offense was discovered in Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi where an acclaimed Engineer, Mr. Charles Imoru has dubious forged documents of the institution to scam the management of Upper Benue River Basin Development Authority (UBRBDA) Yola.

Charles who has been a staff of a Water Engineering company known for Constructing dams, canals, and Waterways, Havage Engineering Services Ltd is accused of criminal offenses against the management of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi.

Barr P M Shagnah Esq, a human interest lawyer and observer of public accounts and documents said Charles has a case to answer for forging the documents of the Department of Civil Engineering Structures Laboratory (concrete cube test result) of ATBU to defraud UBRBDA.

He said this to draw the attention of ATBU and the management of UBRBDA when he stumbled on a court summons having Charles as the applicant against the Attorney General of the Federal, Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Abubakar Suleiman Tela as a defendant.

The case before Federal High Court Yola has Charles through his lawyer, M O Nwoye and others filed for leave to apply for judiciary review by way of Mandamus under order 34 rule 1 and 3 of the Federal High Court (civil procedures) rule 2019.

Shagnah said the original summons Suleiman Tella Abubakar has no case to answer because it was an issue of death on arrival have been tried and investigated by all anti-graft agencies and found Tela innocent and ni court of competent jurisdiction should entertain such a vested interest issue from a alleged criminal offender of the highest order.

Shagnah blasted Charles to be a cattle calling a pot black and he who comes to equity must come with clean hands and should be arrested for causing public disorder and maligning innocent citizens in the person of Suleiman.

Barr Shagnah washed the prayers of Charles who is asking the Court to compel the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd resprespondentsinvestigate the 4th respondent for manipulation of the integrated payroll and Personnel information system (IPPS).

He said Charles is confused and probably under a spell who has known already Suleiman has been investigated many times in the order of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respondents and found him Worthy, noble of a good Nigerian Man who is innocent of all the allegations.

"I think this guy is having a mental problem, I followed up their running battles from 2019 to date where both the Ministry of Water Resources, ICPC, and even the Attorney General Federal have thoroughly investigated him, checked him back to back, and found him innocent of all their allegations.

"Charles is biting more than he can chew for the fact that he is behind the forging the documents of the Department of Civil Engineering Structures Laboratory (concrete cube test result) of ATBU to defraud UBRBDA is enough to bury himself in shame as a criminal who is bringing shame and disgrace to the Engineering profession," Shagnah said

For Charles to have forged the ATBU document without the prior knowledge of the institution and go about presenting them for payment is a high rate of criminality.

He further described Charles as a desperado who is a serial liar, a looser and unrepentant corrupt Staff of Havage Engineering Services Ltd interloping over what is naturally not supposed to have any business with.

The Human rights Lawyer revealed that he has since instituted a criminal case against Charles for causing undue pain to Tela, Attorney General of the federation, ICPC.

He said Engr. Danladi Ebbah, the Owner of the company should be wary of Charles for bringing down the organization to fall short of public trust and failed woefully to pass the integrity test of a grounded construction company serving the interest of the Nigerian masses.

Shagnah who was Adamawa's Former All Progressives Congress (APC) legal adviser called on the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE)and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering Practice of Nigeria (COREN) to withdraw the certificate of practice from Charles because its dampening the images of the two Engineering bodies.

"I have finished my groundwork, he will soon hear me on the court. Enough is enough of the noise of this Man seeking unnecessary attention. I will drag into into a Court of competent jurisdiction to challenge his actions of forging a document of ATBU in an attempt to defraud UBRBDA. This is to let you know that the company through their management has a character problem, this is to also give you an idea of the kind of jobs they have been doing for the sake of the public. It therefore means that all the work they claimed they did well was not properly done and they want to get paid by all means.

"I'm calling on the general public, especially communities and organizations who know this company has done one or more construction work to go and revisit all they have done across the country to ensure it's done within terms and conditions meeting up the prescribed specifications.

"Either way we will soon meet in court to ask Why the company's level of corruption has derailed to this extent and to also ask why ATBU could not take them to court to seek redress despite discovering the company has Forged an official document of the organization.

I want the general public to know that Abubakar Suleiman Tela has been tried, tried, and investigated all the frivolous allegations raised by Charles and his cronies.

"For the Court, summons is something death on arrival and it will boomerang ok Charles and Havad Engineering service. This is an assurance." Shagnah said

Health / Massive Healthcare Revolution Underway In FCT by TGNEWS(m): 7:09am On May 24
...Wike orders immediate recruitment to resolve ‘japa’, Obsolete equipment to go, solar power for unbroken service delivery

By Felix Durumbah

Critical healthcare personnel such as medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, medical records officers, physiotherapists and others who quit the services of Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) are to be replaced immediately.

This followed an order by Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr Nyesom Wike, to that effect.

It was gathered from sources that the lack of cutting edge staff had over the years affected service delivery in the hospitals.

The Ministerial stamp came on the heels of a proposal by FCTA’s Mandate Secretary for Health Services and Environment Secretariat (HSES), Dr Dolapo Fasawe.

Newly-appointed Permanent Secretary, HSES, Dr Babagana Adam, who disclosed these while fielding questions from the press in Abuja, explained the urgency in the Ministerial order, saying it is in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He said: ‘’ The Honorable Minister has graciously agreed to their immediate replacement. And when Mr. Solution tells you immediate, it is immediate and immediate.’’

He was responding to a question on his impression of the state of FCTA-owned health facilities which he toured on assumption of office about a month ago.

FCTA owns 14 health facilities, including relatively well-equipped General Hospitals, some in rural areas, 11 of which the Permanent Secretary has visited so far.

Pouring out his feelings on what he saw on ground, Dr Adam said the Minister, through the Mandate Secretary, is focused on improving the facilities which, he stressed, were already the primus inter pares among similar institutions not just in the North Central zone but across the country.

He added: ‘’Presently, my Mandate Secretary, Dr Dolapo Fasawe, under the direction of the Hon. Minister, FCT, Dr Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has already set in place motion to provide for solar power, to provide for repairs or replacement of obsolete equipment, to provide for training and then, through her push (which the Hon. Minister has already approved) the replacement of the staff that have left the FCT service---the nurses, the doctors, the medical records personnel, the pharmacists, the physiotherapists, all the health professionals that have left.

‘’ What are my impressions? I think we’ll still say we thank God Almighty that we have manpower, we have available facilities, we have the will of the Honorable Minister that he’s going to give us three additional hospitals that’ll be completed—Gwarimpa General Hospital, Utako General Hospital (about 220-bed facility), Gwagwalada Hospital that started since 2010 or 2012 that has not been completed.

‘’And you know the Hon. Minister’s type of projects solution is, he doesn’t start what he cannot complete.
‘’So, it gives a lot of courage and encouragement to us to put forward.

‘’So, my general impression is, I think the hospitals can still do better, but you know, the Hon. Minister, Mr. Wike, is less than a year in office. I’m sure by the time he’s a year-plus in office, you’ll see a lot of things changing.’’

The Permanent Secretary revealed that the Minister has crafted a novel attitudinal strategy focused on ‘’patient-centered healthcare service delivery’’ to give the mammoth numbers of patients from in and outside the FCT a fresh lease of life.

Dwelling on the issue of millions of patients, including members of the diplomatic community resident in Abuja, and those from other states routinely thronging the relatively better FCTA health facilities for treatment, Dr Adam explained that this fact was the reason no matter how much financial resources FCTA sunk into its health sector, the amount and outcomes appeared merely like a drop of water in the ocean.

His words: ‘’That is why whatever FCTA is doing is a drop in the ocean, despite the huge budget that is being expended. That tells you again, from your assessment, that our service in the North-Central or even in Nigeria is equal to none. And if people are migrating to a place, you understand that place has better service delivery, equipment and others.’’

Even as he noted that the Minister was ploughing in huge sums into the sector, Dr Adam called on the international community, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), philanthropists (corporate and individual) to support the health system ‘’as they have been doing, so that we will have more and attend to everybody that has come with their health-seeking behavior so that FCT will be a haven to all.’’

He urged members of the public to hold hospital staff accountable toward better service delivery by utilizing FCTA’s available social media channels and publicly-given telephone numbers to bring any service lapse or failure to the notice of the authorities, for instant rectification.

Nairaland / General / Fg Loses Over N200m For Closing Down Abuja Icc Every Month – Ifmsl Md Reveals by TGNEWS(m): 7:18am On May 21

Senator Ahmad Abubakar MoAllahyidi is the Managing Director (MD) of Integrated Facility Management Services Limited, managers of the International Conference Centre (ICC), one of the iconic properties in Abuja. In this interview, he explains the scenario that led to the termination of the company’s contract by the Minister of the FCT and why the president should intervene.

Q. Walk us through some issues that resulted in the termination of your company’s contract by the FCT minister?

On April 4, Mr Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the FCT, attended the inauguration of the ECOWAS Parliament. Apparently, there was a challenge with the air conditioning system. The place was hot and he got angry and the next thing he did was to terminate the appointment of the GMD of the Abuja Investment Company Limited (AICL) and also revoked the contract of the managers of the ICC.

Note that the minister was not even at the ICC at first; he was at the ECOWAS Parliament. They rented ICC for the inauguration because of their faulty air conditioners. The arrangement was to do the accreditation and other activities at the ECOWAS Parliament and then the major event at the ICC because there is a gate linking both buildings. I tried to explain to him but he refused to listen. In the evening he announced the appointment of a new GMD for AICL and also asked Julius Berger to take over the rehabilitation of ICC.

As far as my company is concerned, there was nothing wrong with the ICC. The president was there at the inauguration. Nobody complained about anything, and the air conditioners were working, except for him that was at the wrong facility at that time. He took a decision and cancelled all the events.

In this place there are a lot of third-party contracts; we have contracts even from abroad.

Q. How are you handling clients that have already booked the facility, especially foreigners?

The ICC has been booked till December, 2024. We told them that they have to exercise patience because there were a lot of events booked that cannot take place anywhere apart from the ICC. However, some clients were able to reach the government; like the air force that has its 60th anniversary coming soon; where a lot of countries are coming for the event, and they got a window to go ahead and host their anniversary at the ICC.

Aside from the air force, there are a lot of other international events, including for UN, AU, WHO, oil and gas in July, including the African Mining Meek that is going to take place.

Q.From April 4, to date how much has been lost in terms of money as a result of the closure of ICC?</strong>

There are a lot of events and other side activities happening there weekly, and from the line up, we have lost nothing less than N200m.

If he (minister) wants to do something, then I believe he should take a tour. He has never gone there to inspect. Even when we invited him to come, he refused to allow us to follow him.

Q. Another issue is the fact that Julius Berger has accessed the property and your company is not allowed any access. Did you table that issue to the minister as well?

We did that several times. We have been asking questions as to why he will terminate appointments without following the legal process. Although he has the power to do so, there are laid down conditions, laws and procedures for termination. We had been there for almost 20 years. You can’t lock a place today and ask everyone to pack out immediately. Julius Berger too has been stopped because the events booked have to take place.

Q. After exhausting all discussions and the minister is still adamant; what will be the next step?</strong>

Mr Wike is not the ultimate in this whole affair. We have already taken the matter to court, because as far as we are concerned, there is rule of law in this country. We are in a democratic setting and one person cannot just sit down and decide the fate of over 200 staff working there. Some people have been working there for almost 20 years.

I think the court is going to give us a date for hearing within the week. We have a 10-year contract to manage ICC, and we are just in the third year.

Q. What is your appeal to President Bola Tinubu?</strong>

Our appeal is very clear; we want rule of law and justice. I believe you cannot just come down and throw people out of where they are working without any reason, without communicating to anybody what is even our offence.

Therefore, I appeal to Mr President to allow us to go back and work it out orderly, hand over the facility and then we conclude amicably, because there are events lined up there already till the end of the year.

"We are highly concerned because if these political gangsterism and despotism are not properly checked, curtailed and contained, Nigeria will become a One-Party State, the consequences of which cannot be imagined." Afiyo said

He continued to say that the LP's crisis is internal and self- inflicted, but that of the PDP is a deliberate and bracing efforts by the external forces through unscrupulous elements in the Party who considered their political interest and relevance above the National interest:

"we have observed with great dismay the
efforts of these political opportunists in destroying whatever the Nation has benefitted through democratic Governments. This is why we have been consulting with the Stakeholders in PDP starting with the North - Central Zone of the Country, to ensure equitable distribution of National Offices to guarantee justice and equity which are the basic democratic ingredients necessary for checks and balances,
critical and constructive opposition which is needed to propel the Government to always ensure accountability, secures and guarantees our fundamental Rights.

"We are highly amazed and disgusted that since the removal of Dr. Iyorchia Ayu as the National Chairman of the PDP getting to almost a year now, a substantive Chairman has not been appointed or elected because of the activities of some of these Moles within the Party who are bent on controlling the Party for their selfish political interest to pleasing their Pay Masters."

equitable involvement and participation of all the critical Stakeholders.

"The intelligence report we received so far, these stakeholders have successfully contacted and convinced many stakeholders to resign from the PDP. If this trend is allowed, the PDP will
surely collapse in few months, the consequences of which the Nation may face in the next seven years, may not be compared to what is happening in South Korea or what happened during the apartheid rule in South Africa.

"To this end, we will reiterate our call on all well- meaning Nigerians especially the NEC Members of the PDP from the North – Central to rise to the challenge and ensure that their political entitlements are given to them as a right not an obligation. The position of the National Chairman must be given to the North – Central Zone without further delay.

"On our part, we will always ensure that all Geopolitical Zones are fairly
represented. If the NEC of the PDP fails to effect the changes required or needed
within two weeks, then the PDP will face the political consequences in no distant
future. This is not a threat but a command that will guarantee the security, safety and sustenance of Democratic rule in Nigeria." Afiyo stated

Politics / Wike Hires "Miscreants" To Fight The Rule Of Law, APC Chieftain Lambast AYA by TGNEWS(m): 7:50pm On May 04
By Tom Garba, Yola

A Strong member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from North East Nigeria, Alhaji Sai'du Bobboi has lampooned a group by the name of Arewa Youth Assembly (AYA) that claimed to back the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr Nyesome Wike over the illegal contract Revocation against the Integrated Facility Management services (IFMSL).

Bobboi said AYA is a group of miscreants who are hired by Wike to further the course of injustice as it's the norm of the FCT minister to project his agenda of fighting some APC loyal member.

He said Ali Mohammed and his collaborators have shown a high level of Shameless thoughts on Senator Ahmad Abubakar Moallayidi, Managing Director of IntegratedFacilityy Management Services Limited "IFMSL", a former Senator to have represented Adamawa Southern Senatorial zone.

"Let me help the minds of this so-called AYA, who I believe are faceless groups or if they are real, we don't know about their existence in the North, if they exist I believe they are the cash and carry group that anyone can hire for paltry to propagate injustice against Justice.

'To put the record straight, Sen Moallayidi represented Adamawa Southern Senatorial zone (2015-2019) and left indelible records of achievements.

"First in the North to pass a law for the school of Mining and Forestry, Ahmad was among Senators that championed the cost of a bill that saw the formation of the North East Development Commission. He was one of the core financiers of APC in 2015 that brought President Muhammadu Buhari to power.

"Ahmad played a major role in Financing and sustaining APC in Adamawa State by working hard to bring into power President Bola Ahmed Tinubu despite coming from the same Senator District as the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

"Ahmad through the Arewa New Agenda (ANA), a group he formed with the likes of the former Secretary to the government of the Federation (SGF), Alhaji Ahmed Yayale, Jonathan Silas Zwingina (former Majority leader), former Governor of Bauchi, Isah Yuguda, former Governor of Zamfara, Ahmed Yeriman Bakura and so many notable Nigerians to campaign round the country and ensure Tinubu is elected. By simple arithmetics, Ahmad contributed immensely to the election of Tinubu rather than Wike. Sai'du said

According to him, the Northern patriotic front is fighting in defense of Justice because there's no way a leader can be good enough than to respect the rule of law.

He said the issue of the International Conference Center (ICC) is an issue that patterns the rule of law, a contractual agreement that a sane person can respect.

He challenges AYA if they are not miscreants to go back to their Master (Wike) and know the true state of the situation and the agreement backing IFMSL and the office of the Minister.

"Wike is not the only Minister or person working in Tinubu's administration, even if is the only one working Justice and fairness should be his guiding principles. Justice is the best definition of working.

" We are not going back on our fight against injustice by Wike's form of maladministration, we are aware IFMSL has entered an agreement with the Ministry for ICC for Ten years. The illegal revocation should be reversed and the right thing be done in the interest of Justice, fairness, and inclusion.

Saidu Bobboi, a Chieftain of APC who is the Former National Chairman KOWA Party and a One-time Vice Presidential Candidate of the KOWA Party during the 2015 Presidential Election, said:" It's unfortunate AYA group is used to scamming people around and the Honorable Minister is using them to fight his course of injustice instead of following the rule of law to get things done."

The APC Party stalwart is one of the founding members of Arewa New Agenda, ANA, reiterated that Wike must go back to the drawing board else he will collapse the government of Tinubu with his show of pride and lack of respecting the rule of law.

He described the AYA press statement as nauseating from a group of hungry charlatans Hired to submerge justice with their unspoken and nauseating noise of pauper baggers.
