The secretariat complex of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamawa State chapter was agog, Thursday, as thousands of supporters of leader of Blackcap Revolution Movement, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu purchased the nomination form for the organizing secretary of the party for him ahead of the coming state congress of the party.

The supporters who cut across various political leanings, pressure groups, trade unions and civil society organizations urged Ribadu to go to sleep assuring him of getting a landslide victory for his diligence, perseverance and service to humanity.

The supporters under the leadership of Hon Nasiru Lawal said because of the confidence they had in Ribadu and the fact that he will bring rapid changes and transformations to the party, they purchased the nomination form from their personal purses.

In a chat with newsmen shortly after he purchased the form, Lawal said as true patriots of Adamawa State and APC, it was necessary for them to ensure that only people with unblemished character, good record of service, integrity and excellence should hold positions of authority.

"As youth who are concerned about the deterioration of leadership space in the state and the nation at large, we felt a compelling need to ensure that the leadership recruitment process is enhanced by prodding people with unblemished character, excellence and integrity to contest leadership positions.

"Following diligent scrutiny and serious brainstorming, we found Mustapha Atiku Ribadu to fit all our requirements for support. And as such, we deemed it necessary to mobilize resources to buy this form for him free of charge.

"For us, today is a payback day where we unequivocally show the world that there is a reward for diligent service to humanity. We urge Ribadu to go to sleep as we shall traverse all nooks and crannies of the state with our own resources to ensure an overwhelming and landslide victory for him," Lawal said.

Also speaking on the sidelines of the event, Murtala Abdullahi Naiibi a youth leader in the entourage said, "we are a coalition of youths, pressure groups, NGOs, trade unions and CSOs who want to ensure the entrenchment of good governance in the state.

" Because of the track record of Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, being one of the most vibrant and conscientious youths in Adamawa State, we found it expedient to support him in this course as we believe it is in the interest of all.

"Ribadu is a popular youth leader who has paid his dues to the service of humanity. Whoever knows Mustapha Atiku Ribadu will tell you that he is down to earth, a true champion of the masses, a dependable pillar, a man of the people and and an epitome of integrity in the true sense and meaning of the word.

"His benevolence and compassion can never be overemphasized. He is one of the most respected and idolised youths in Adamawa State because of his uncommon thirst in carrying the lot of the masses and bringing solutions to the myriad of challenges facing humanity

"For over the ten years I know him, I can say without hedging or the fear of being contradicted that Ribadu is a good man who over the years has established sound relationship with the people.

"In the whole of the 21 local governments of Adamawa State, he is well known because of his tremendous assistance to the people including championing the rights of the masses, providing scholarship to the indigent students and assisting less privileged patients with medical support among many interventions.

"I know he will give his support to the development of APC through his pressure group Blackcap Revolution Movement. Recently, he organized an award where people that have excelled in different fields without recourse to their background and political affiliation were honoured.

"He is playing significant roles in enhancing unity and cooperation in the state. I'm absolutely confident that he will empower the youths of Adamawa State in all facets of human life," he said.

"We want to bring a just and fair minded man. So we mobilized funds from our personal purses, we contributed to buy the form for him. We hope he will accept our clarion call to contest.

"We were actually pushed by the desire for excellence in leadership because over the years, we have been bruised and bloodied on account of bad leadership.

"So in our move to ensure sanity, equity, probity, justice and accountability, we decided to wholeheartedly support Ribadu because we believe he has the gusto, the exposure and the pedagogy to resolve the myriad of challenges bedevilling the party and the state.

"We know how he led groups and carried out responsibilities given to him with utmost sincerity, dexterity and superb aplomb. That is why we deemed it necessary to project him as one of our leaders.

He added that Numan local government benefitted from 320 new enrollments out of the total number of girls that were returned back into schools.

Osasah said the rationale behind the attention being given to the north is due to the fact that out of the number of out-of-school girls, 60 percent are in the north calling for serious action to address the challenge.

Far reaching measures to ensure enrollment of more girls were taken including house to house campaign, opening of register of out-of-school children by traditional rulers and incorporating the wives of the paramount traditional rulers in the drive to enrol more girls into schools.

In their separate goodwill messages, the chairman of Numan local government, Innocent Koto, Wakili Numan Godwin Philemon and chairman education committee Numan, Pwanedo Jediel all reemphasized the need to get out-of-school girls into schools in order to secure the future generation.

I am not just a loyal party member, an official of the party but a voice of courage and strength for the party.

Nairaland / General / Adamawa Residents Worry Over Gov Fintiri Neglect Of Bridge Construction by TGNEWS(m): 1:48pm On Sep 13
.....Accused Adamawa govt for not meeting up to their campaign promises

..Gov Ahmadu is on constant touch with NEDC for a perfect work done of the bridge -Media aide

The collapse of the Wuri ganni bridge between Shuwa and the Gulak area of Madagali Local Government, Adamawa state was destroyed by a flood in this year's raining season some weeks ago that has grossly led to the halting of economic activities, caused asperity and travails to the people of those communities.

The bridge is said to be in Kirchinga ward, a village where Adamawa Governor, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is said to have come from is a major link between Adamawa, Borno states and the people of the communities have cried out for help for the rebuilding of the collapsed bridge.

The collapsed bridge at the moment our correspondent gathered has brought to the lowest minimum the economic activities of the two states, especially the communities of Madagali and Muchika local government areas.

An aged Man, Baba Adamu Jakeso who our correspondent seen ferried by two able young men on their onward journey to Yola for medical attention lamented how the present condition of the bridge has caused a serious economy disconnect among the inhabitants of the area.

He worried that the socio-economic activities of those areas are comatose and are affecting the livelihood of millions of people living and plying the road on daily basis.

He described the situation of the road and the breaking down of the bridge as catastrophic, having the same grievous effects of the Boko Haram experience they went through few years ago.

While narrating his ordeals how he is suffering from heart-related sickness, he said he had to be lifted by his two sons to the other bank of the river. This according to him has made him wane up and suspecting his BP is on the high side.

"Wrecking of this bridge to me is equally as painful as the Boko Haram experience I have gone through. Look at me I have to be ferried through by my able sons, my health condition at the moment is palpable because I'm a BP patient.

" I'm going to Yola for medical attention ordinary by now we would have gone far with our journey but the road condition is making the whole journey cumbersome," Adamu said

He said being a retired revenue collector that the federal government and the government of Borno, Adamawa states including the local government's areas they are losing from the break down of bridge millions of naira daily as revenue.

He appealed to the federal and state governments to consider the sufferings and untold pains the people are going through because of the bridge wreckage if they are not interested in revenue generation.

"I'm begging Baba Buhari to come to our aid and fix the bridge for us, the suffering is too much. We are yet to overcome the excruciating pains of Boko Haram attacks. We are grateful of his efforts that made us return to our ancestral homes but our joy will not be complete if after farming our crops will not be sold at a good price because of bad road.

'If Our condition would not be improved with good livelihood and standard of living in our respective communities it means everyone should go to Abuja or Yola and stay because that's where lives are valued and cherished. He added.

A blind Man, Jemuel Kuwatalakai who was also ferried through the gushing waters of the river caused by the wrecked bridge blamed the government of Adamawa for not paying attention to the plights of the masses.

According to him, he voted for Governor Ahmadu because he believed him while campaigning and made a lot of promises including the fixing of brigades and roads, especially now they have all returned to their communities after Boko Haram attacks that displaced them.

He worried that the government of Fintiri is paying deaf ears to what the masses are going through.

"Painful enough the Governor is from Kirchinga, a stone throw community very close to where I'm talking to you. Does it mean that he is not aware of what we are going through as his people? Does it mean that he has failed in fulfilling his campaign promises? Come to think of it I'm quite sure Fintiri has the money that he can use to fix this road even if the federal government is not listening to him or paying lip service to the road as the urgent need of the people.

" All I know, Buhari didn't come to us and campaign to fix this road for us. But he did came to our communities and promised us good roads, good hospitals, good schools, and regular payment of salaries.

"I voted for him based on those promises he made, but now I know politicians are only interested in your votes once you gave them to hell with you and they don't care about whatever you are passing.

"For God sake our Governor we are not asking for much, all we are saying is fix the bridge for us that is all." Jemuel said

Ishaku Kamasha, a resident of Michika, a town in which the bridge is having a direct connection as a border community to Shuwa, the gate mouth of Madagali Local Government worried that at any downpour of rainfall it is one ugly story or the other.

According to him long vehicles, trucks, cars, and all commuters over what he described as the normal exchange of passengers and goods, a give and take exchange to drivers either going to Yola or coming from Maiduguri, and is making the life of people and journey miserable as if there is no government.

Community leader and the Lawan of Shuwa, Ibrahim Ayaba said the bridge is now a nightmare of all Madagali Local Government and its environs.

He said his worries is that the government seems to silence and not mindful of the extremity and dilemma of the people on the current ugly situation of the road.

"We don't really understand what the government is doing about the issue. It is really affecting our socioeconomic status and nothing else it working out perfect for because of the bridge collapse.

" Once it rains, it is one bad story of the other. Vehicles and trucks no longer plying the road to either going to Maiduguri or Yola. I'm begging on the government to do something about." Ayaba said

Mr Solomon Kumangar, Director General Communications and Media to the Governor of Adamawa State assured that the road will be constructed from Yola to Goza in which the bridge then will be well constructed.

He called on the people of Madagali to be more patience as efforts are being made by Governor Fintiri to bring a lasting solution to that effect.

Also in his response the Press Secretary to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, Mr Humwashi Wonosikou said the Governor is steadfast in doing the people's mandate.

According to him Governor Fintiri is not asleep concerning the collapsed bridge, being a federal road he has at many times contacted North East Development Commission (NEDC) and which they have promised to work on the bridge.

Wonosikou said the government of Adamawa is on its toes to make sure the not only the bridge in Madagali that will be fixed but the many Adamawa rural roads entire roads.

"The Governor is a Man of his words and keep to action on making sure that the bridge is work on. His constant visit to NEDC will certainly bring out light at the end of the tunnel" Wonosikou said

Politics / Adamawa Congress: Song LG APC Stakeholders Deny Involvement In Court Order Again by TGNEWS(m): 8:37pm On Sep 08

....hopeful APC is the party to beat come 2023 because they are united

Babangida Nasiru and Rhoda Mathias, arw stakeholder of All Progressives Congress, APC, of Song Local Government area council of Adamawa state has vowed to drag Barr Mohammed B Umar to court for using his name as one of the plaintiffs/applicants before his worship, Hon Mohammed Abubakar of Adamawa upper Area court 1.

According to him Babangida the said lawyer has infringed on his human right of fair hearing to have not been contacted before dragging his name to the public domain over baseless issues In connection to the local government (LG) Congress conducted peacefully in Song.

Nasiru who was returned elected as Secretary of APC party in Kilange Fauna ward of Song LG cannot in his right-thinking senses drag the party to court.

He said he bought the party's form and won the election under peaceful conduct of the election with all stakeholders to have agreed with the outcome, but to his dismay and surprise his name was on the pages of the newspaper of dragging his party to court.

"I'm not a party to this mischief, the Lawyer that used my name to tarnish my image I will surely take him to court to have infringed my fundamental human right.

" Why will he drag my name without my consent? He has not contacted me and I was not privy to all they have concocted with his cronies only for me to read the story on the Internet. No! He must explain all this in the court of law." Babaginda said

While distancing himself to the purported court injunction to restrain the swearing-in of the new officials of Song LG of the party, he also vowed to take legal action against those that approached the court using his name unjustifiable.

"I'm a loyal member of APC, this I will ever be, will ever protect, defend the interest of my party from local to national level.

" To tell you I'm more serious I have formally written a letter to my party leaders at the state level through my lawyer, I have stated my position that I'm not part of the mischief some few individuals are doing at the detriment of our party ." He added

He however said that APC in Song and the entirety of Adamawa state is united and is the party to beat come 2023.

While Rhoda Mathias whose name was used without her knowledge has equally written a letter to the APC in the state to help her seek redress.

She blamed the lawyer for jettisoned professional ethics because of primordial sentiments and personal gains.

She said she conduct of the congress in her Waltida ward in Song local was done in the atmosphere of transparency as such does not warrant her going to court to restrain the swearing in of the new officials of her LG.

Wakili is a cooked, a thorough breed, and cum laude of leadership. Sending him to represent Adamawa central zone is the best of it all the decision the people of the State can ever take.

The ever-ready and preparedness to take Adamawa central zone from the woods, the brooks of stagnant waters of bad representation, he went to international school, he earned strategic training, courses in leadership and service to humanity. He traveled a lot for business and leadership purposes in making sure humanity enjoy the blessings of God over his life.

May I make an observable fact that Adamawa states are fortunate to have the likes of Aliyu who by nature is not a man that's good in blowing out his trumpet. By working close to him I realized that he owned it all, regarding who will save the central Zone in 2023 of Adamawa State from years of leadership bastardization, another junky year of nepotism, enmeshing wealth for personal use, and aggrandizement glory over the electorates who entrusted people with the power to lead and to govern.

This is why is far away apart. Uniquely different from others who are grasping for power. The system is saturated with people who are majorly after their gains. The System is bad with leaders who do not know what is leadership and service to humanity. My desire for Boya is to be our next Senator from Adamawa central Senatorial Zone. It's beautiful to say that the business great Man is far from whatever or any kind of primordial sentiments. My view is base on the objectivity of who he is, An International Business Man, a historic philanthropist, and a true Democrat whose value system is God and humanity, selfless service to all on fairness, Justice, and all-inclusive government.

My readers will agree with me that the state, especially Adamawa central zone is moving with a protracted nature of underdevelopment, a phenomenon I know Aliyu will address headlong into massive infrastructural development, massive employment, wooing investors into the state because of his international connection with many world leaders. He will revive the Agricultural sector, boom the educational system, introduce a world standard health care system for people in rural communities and urban settlements. And above all he will galvanized the country and the zone with perfect laws that will transform humanity.

Because of the glaring facts and political realities in Adamawa state, this is to gear up hope that the existing gaps of ineptitude will be better filled by Barr Aliyu Wakili Boya an erudite personality of our time. I'm on an appeal mission, Wakili is the man to beat, the real servant whose excellent potentials leadership abilities have never been properly tapped. Let my people from Adamawa central Zone give him a home push, my central and Northern zone electorates to canvass for him because he is a man that can pursuit a fulfill dream. My people from the South zone, I present to you hope for a better tomorrow, a gentleman of excellence, a down-to-earth personality who is a golden gift for our dear state.

My Adamawa people, I'm deeply convinced that BARR ALIYU WAKILI BOYA will be a pillar to straighten our Democratic norms in the state in this 21st century globalized democracy. He is always a man in action who you can buy his words at all times, "he doesn’t speak a CHANGE, But he makes a CHANGE by putting a plan in ACTION to assure People are all satisfied.

My concern and worry are about the state of affairs in our land of beauty, It is seen, it is known we are a state with a vicious cycle of serious underdevelopment because of bad leadership for so many years ." Oh! Adamawa people who have bewitched us?" The gap between development and underdevelopment is wide, is big, it takes only a man like Boya to fill in the gap.

Here comes the gap, the Adamawa political scene is still being nurtured and breeds by many who seem to never satisfy the yearning and the burning desire of the electorates. With the gap in good leadership, this is a man I see very much available for our dear state, nation to tap from his pool of wisdom, knowledge of administration, and his exceptional business and political career which he has inspired millions. Few leaders have indeed developed as many leaders from the ranks of their proteges as he has done. His incredibly large and generous heart, political astuteness, and uncommon intellect have become the stuff of legend.

It is now a passionate appeal to the people of Adamawa and well-meaning Nigerians to compel the man in the know of leadership, business and politics to fully participate in the coming 2023 general elections. It's a clarion call to Aliyu, let him consider this Noble call to help in rebuilding our state that needs greater minds to contribute in making Adamawa state great and Nigeria an envious country in the world.

Politics / Leadership Squabbles Over 20 Bags Of Rice Among Supporters Of Gov Fintiri by TGNEWS(m): 11:34am On Sep 06
.....as Ben insist is still the ATM coordinator and no consensus reached to suspend him

ATM ambassadors, a political group formed to propagate the good ideals of the administration of Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the Governor of Adamawa has on recent days embroiled in leadership tussle over alleged twenty bags of rice given to the coordinator, Benjamin Solomon.

The embattled Chairman of the group, Mr Benjamin Solomon after he was slammed a vote of no confidence over his administration termed by group members to lack accountability, competence and transparency.

In a rejoinder to make certain records straight, Solomon maintained that his so called suspension doesn't stand and he remains the substantive Chairman of the group.

Solomon in a statement made available to DAILY TIMES reiterated that the figure given as the majority during the last meeting was a total lie and a display of illiteracy.

According to Benjamin there was no consensus reached out to pass a Vote of no confidence as the meeting ended up with disagreement among attended members.

He said the purported suspension was concocted and sponsored by some few individuals who does not understand a suspension cannot stand without guiding bye laws of the association.

"On what bye Laws are they suspending the the coordinator? As a committee regarding the conscripting of the bye laws was set up and mandated under the chairmanship of Felix Samari to draft the bye laws has failed to carry out their responsibility till date.

" Who told them they can pass a vote of no confidence on a leader without clear reason or fact? They alleged that I received 20bags of 50kg rice sometimes in December last year from the office of the Chief of staff in the name of ATM Ambassadors, I tagged this as being shameful, act of display of hunger, and baseless, as I am equal to the task at my capacity to buy same rice to each one of them.

"I have equally notice that Majority of those making noice in the group are civil servants with No idea what politics is all about, they thought politics is a Tribal or Adashe group, I have invested so much in terms of my resources, time, knowledge to make sure the group work for the success of Fintiri's administration but their glutton attitudes is covering their eyes for the mission and vision of why the group is formed." Ben said

He worried that many of those seeking his removal don't even have the time or resources to invest to build the ATM Ambassadors movement, rather they are busy building their civil service Career.

"They are moved by their personal ego, selfishness, ethnicity bigotry and also motivated by some individuals who want to hijack the platform for their personal political interest.

" Shamefully enough they alleged that their action was moved by my desire to join the APC, this is totally an action of character deformation, as I am completely a PDP Member and a grass root politician with full allegiance to the ATM Governor and the future President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (Waziri Adamawa) and currently vying for the vacant office of the State Youth Leader of our great party the PDP.

"They also alleged that I received money from the Governor in the name of ATM Ambassadors, this is also shameful, baseless and a total display of ignorance to political issues." Said Solomon

Politics / Michika/madagali Fed Constituency: Godswonder Vows To Unseat Hon Nyampa by TGNEWS(m): 9:42pm On Sep 03
.....says is under performing in his core duties of representation to the people of his area

Bitrus told TGNEWS that his dream of contesting the seat is to replace the under performance of Dauda who was voted into office by the overwhelming support of the electorates.

According to him Zakaria was no doubt the electorates choice, he was elected to speak up for them, he was elected to champion the collective cause of his people and was elected to give them a voice by bringing to the fore burning issues affecting his constituency, but unfortunately he got in there and is under performing from his core duties of an expected lawmaker with his voice unheard of over germane issues of the constituency.

"By God's special grace, I am an influential voice in my constituency. I have worked so hard to maintain my integrity and earn the trust of my people. I travel at least once every month from my Abuja base to interact with my people on the way forward. I know my people, they know me and I connect with them at every level." Musa said

He said the will and special grace of God he will be contesting for the office of the House of Representatives for Madagali/Michika Federal constituency in the platform of All progressives Congress (APC) to make a huge difference haven garner much experience in the banking sector with pockets of trainings on entrepreneurship, good governance and wealth creation.

He recalled that in the build up to the 2019 National Assembly elections, the current Federal lawmaker enjoyed the overwhelming support of his people, a rare opportunity he lightly valued and promises a people -Mandate representation.

With much of his interested in youth development and empowerment, having passion for farming by passion he revealed to have a core intent to:

"Consolidate on what I already started as personal supports to the less previleged and down-trodden from my place in Michika. I hope to take advantage of every financial latitude that the office will afford to extend same gesture to other parts of my constituency.

" To push for a Bill to establish a military barrack and Mobile Police base in my Constituency - Michika and Madagali respectively. This will, among other things, boost confidence in farmers in these areas and for businesses to thrive. This is because since 2014 till date, my constituents, who are majorly farmers by profession, have been under serial attacks by the BH insurgents, thus making it difficult for them to go to their farms in peace.

"He will explore and fully utilize every lobbying opportunities for available federal government empowerment schemes that are aimed at poverty alleviation in my location. I will not be a bench warmer.

" To esure that every dividend of democracy is followed through to a logical conclusion for the benefit of my constituency.

"To Create employment for the teeming youths of my constituency will be crucial to my interventions. Jobs both in the formal and informal sectors will be vigorously pursued for our youths by the grace of God.

" And Youth empowerment is pivotal to my agenda. A remodelling of the apprentice scheme practised in the South East Nigeria is in the offing. Anambra and Enugu states are my second and third homes.

"Our women will also form a critical mass as I will aim to pursue massive empowerment programs for them. Coming from a geopolitical region of the country where women education is defiantly downplayed by the activities of the insurgents, I will be committed to ensuring that as our business women are empowered, the girl child education is also given adequate attention.

" I am not a miracle worker and I am not promising to be one; I am not a magician and I do not intend to be one; but I am making myself available to God and to our people to assuage the plights of my constituents by the grace of God. I make myself available for God to do His Wonders through me."

"Despite these clear provisions of our Constitution and despite the clear and unambiguous wordings and expressions of our party guidelines for the conduct of our ongoing Congress at the different levels of the party, it has come to the notice of the local government caucus that some members of the party, who should, actually be playing the role of fathers of all, have in flagrant use of powers they do not possess, arrogated to themselves the powers to foist a pre-selected list of officials on our local government as an outcome of an electoral process that has taken place in the figments of their imaginations.

" The action of this group is nothing other than an attempt to undermine the powers of existing party authorities in our local government area, usurp their functions and foist their mindset on the good and law-abiding members of our great party in our LGA". Waliya said

Two times former commissioner, Julius Kadala, former commission, and former Hong Local Government Chairman, Mr. Attah Mustapha, Alhaji Ibrahim Gayus (former chairman), Bishop Mike Moses, Alhaji Haliru Aliyu Lala (former chairman), and Manassa M Daniel were in attendance alongside hundreds of delegates.

Our correspondent interviewed Waliya on the certainty of the unity of the meeting, he said that his confidence in today's meeting is secured on the trust and the desperation of party members to walk as a United entity.

The Chairman said no one so important in Hong APC that is not here in person or by representation.

"Hong is now a one APC family, even though is normal to have differences but our misunderstanding is for unity, we are united to bring back the glory of APC in Hong." He said

Lala on his own part told this medium the unity of Hong APC will transcend to all other local government and the present government of Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of PDP should start thinking of packing his load and luggage for APC government in 2023

"The man in the saddle of affairs knows is leaving the office in 2023, we now one, United to take our government because we gave him the privilege." Lala said

Attah Mustapha Julius Kadala the decision reached is a clear indication of party men love to unity and desperation to achieve a desire result.

” We have worked for over 25 years and I can attest without hedging or the fear of being contradicted that Calculate is a disciplined man,” he said.

Responding, the newest bride in the PDP, Calculate called on all members to embraced a renewed unity and brotherhood adding that the major preoccupation of every member of the PDP should be how to oust APC from power come 2023.

He urged members to shun divisive tendencies and eschew envy and bitterness nothing that the need to oust APC from power should supersede any other interest.

“We must eschew all our differences to work faithfully to achieve one goal. That goal is sending APC out of power in 2023.

“Ousting APC should be our major preoccupation because it is the only guarantee for our survival as a people.

” The spiralling and riveting social insecurity bedevilling our nation should make us realize that APC is our biggest enemy. Let us work together regardless of our mundane differences to kill it before it kills us all,” Calculate said.

Politics / Rt Hon Abel Diah: When State Assignment Beckons In 2023 by TGNEWS(m): 12:31pm On Aug 21
By Tom Garba

The assertion that Taraba state is the Nature's gift to the Nation is a fact beyond a mere slogan. It's land endowed with so many beautiful scenes that Nature brought to be in many parts of the state. It's endowed with the beauty of humanity. It's a blessed land with many ethnic groups (Tribes). The people are uniquely different with enormous potentials of excellence in many areas of endeavors, leadership inclusive.

Suffice it to say that there is yet another man, one man who is exceptionally beautiful inside out, he is an embodiment of talent and a host unto good works. Great philanthropist, a leader of excellence, political transformer whose legislative experience is far the description of this platform. An international business Mogul spanning many years of hard work. I'm glad to bring to your notice that Rt Hon Abel Peter Diah stands out, he is another Taraba good man whose leadership potentials are yet to be harnessed in fullness. My Little worries therefore is that this man is allowed to move freely without placing on his shoulders much higher leadership responsibility. Could it be that somebody is not seeing what I'm seeing? I'm seeing a blazing, brazing, and plausible rank of leadership on this man. This is the Man with long legislative service to Taraba state, a former speaker of the state's assembly who reformed the assembly with many bills, laws and oversight functions for the good of the state.

Taraba Central Senatorial District got a talent, got an exceptional Man whose ingenuity is for selfless service, he is wired with perfect ability to serve the people of Taraba State, Nigerians by extension to unleash his many vast experience.

Peter an international business tycoon, a philanthropist who is the current state legislator representing the Mbamnga constituency of Sardauna Local Government is on constant touch with the constituents , his watersheds developmental projects, humanitarian services to the area for many years have said it all he can be a good representative. Diah has never relent or tire of giving himself for the sake of his people. A life he considered worthy of living, a service he considered a called to serve people for God's sake.

In and outside his constituency he has done what I can describe many humanitarian projects to the state. His performance are now a reference point for others to borrow a clue of good leadership in Taraba state.

The water projects constructed free of charge in many Taraba communities, Peter in government in his capacity as a state lawmaker has created many jobs for the people and facilitated, influenced secular jobs to many young people across Sardauna local government is worth commendable.

Pastor Abel is one Man politician that can never be into political Reckless gambling as far as Taraba state is concerned, he is a core politician who knows the game in total, he believes in grassroots politics, it has made him a man with the people's mandate. Peter is a cooked, a thorough breed, and cum laude of leadership. Calling him to serve the people of Taraba in a high pedestrian is going to be an untold glory of the state in a more define way. This is the best of it all the decision the people of the State can ever take in an effort to salvage the dwelling economy of Taraba in terms of developmental strides.

The ever-ready and preparedness to take Taraba from the woods, the brooks of stagnant waters of a yearning better leadership, he went to international school, he earned strategic training, courses in leadership and service to humanity. He traveled a lot for business and leadership purposes in making sure humanity enjoy the blessings of God over his life.

May I make an observable fact that Taraba state is fortunate to have the likes of Peter who by nature is not a man that's good in blowing out his trumpet. By working close to him I realized that he owned it all, regarding who will save the State from years of leadership bastardization, another junky year of nepotism, enmeshing wealth for personal use, and aggrandizement glory over the electorates who entrusted people with the power to lead and to govern.

This is why is far away apart. Uniquely different from others who are grasping for power. The system is saturated with people who are majorly after their gains. The System is bad with leaders who do not know what is leadership and service to humanity. My desire for Abel to be leader in the front line of Taraba state affairs will be a much plus and yield a far fetched results than what is obtainable now. It's beautiful to say that the business great Man, the young politician with muck experience is far from whatever or any kind of primordial sentiments. My view is base on the objectivity of who he is. A historic philanthropist, and a true Democrat whose value system is God and humanity, selfless service to all on fairness, Justice, and all-inclusive government.

My readers will agree with me that the state moving with a protracted nature of underdevelopment, a phenomenon I know Abel can tackle headlong, he will address it into massive infrastructural development, massive employment, wooing investors into the state because of his international connection with many world leaders. He will revive the Agricultural sector, boom the educational system, introduce a world standard health care system for people in rural communities and urban settlements. And above all he will galvanized the country and the state with perfect policies that will transform humanity.

Because of the glaring facts and political realities in Taraba state, this is to gear up hope that the existing gaps of ineptitude will be better filled by Rt Hon Abel Peter Diah, an erudite personality of our time. I'm on an appeal mission, Abel is the man to beat, the real servant whose excellent potentials leadership abilities have never been properly tapped. Let my people from Taraba Central Zone give him a home push, my central and Southern zone electorates to canvass for him because he is a man that can pursuit a fulfill dream. My people from the Northern zone, I present to you hope for a better tomorrow, a gentleman of excellence, a down-to-earth personality who is a golden gift for Taraba state.

My Taraba people, I'm deeply convinced that RT HON ABEL PETER DIAH will be a pillar to straighten the Democratic norms in the state in this 21st century globalized democracy. He is always a man in action who you can buy his words at all times, "he doesn’t speak a CHANGE, But he makes a CHANGE by putting a plan in ACTION to assure People are all satisfied.

My concern and worry are about the state of affairs in the Land, It is seen, it is known we are a state with a vicious cycle of serious underdevelopment because of bad leadership for so many years ." Oh! Taraba people who have bewitched us?" The gap between development and underdevelopment is wide, is big, it takes only a man like Peter to fill in the gap.

Here comes the gap, the Taraba political scene is still being nurtured and breeds by many who seem to never satisfy the yearning and the burning desire of the electorates.

It is now a passionate appeal to the people of Taraba and well-meaning individual to compel the man in the know of leadership, business and politics to fully participate in the coming 2023 general elections. It's a clarion call to Peter, let him consider this Noble call to help in rebuilding our state that needs greater minds to contribute in making Taraba state great and Nigeria an envious country in the world.

Politics / Leaked Audio: Attacks On Sen Bindow Shows Adamawa APC Will Fail In 2023-sajoh by TGNEWS(m): 11:20am On Aug 14
An All Progressives Congress, APC, whose unreserved loyalty is known with his steadfast propagation of the party's ideals has foresighted the failure of the party in 2023.

Alhaji Khaleel Sajoh who is from Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa state in a courtesy call to the TG NEWS office in Yola said the leaked audio of some APC in a formal meeting to broker peace between political beef of two factions in the local government was commendable.

He however condemned the demeaning part of the meeting insulting the personality of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Sajoh whose views have exonerated Senator Muhammadu Jibrilla Bindow, the immediate past Governor of the State, and played the role of peace mediator to Unite the lingering crisis of the political gladiators in Yola South.

According to him, it beat his imagination for people to keep on dragging Umaru's name over his good intentions of the party everybody knows he is a critical stakeholder in the state.

Sajoh registered his concern and worried about the party drifting to losing out in the coming 2023 General elections if they tow the parts of attacking members of the party who are pillars of APC in the state.

He said Bindow in that leaked audio is no doubt a party to the insults meted on Buhari and asked why should some people in the party sponsor campaign of calumny against him.

"If our party stakeholders resulted in political skirmishes against themselves just to gain grounds in the coming 2023 elections I said this Is a never possible dream for all of them and the party at large.

" I see a total downfall of APC with the way and manner our leaders are towing the part of disunity, their penchant selfish interest is what will kill the party in Adamawa. Take it or leave it, if this "mess" does not stop we can't take back power come 2023. They are just wasting their time believing in the numerical strength that is passive.

"Tell me if at this latent stage the people we consider leaders of our great party can sit down and think of bringing themselves down through recording one another, then how can they trust themselves and equally unite in the basis of trust to work in the interest of the party?

" What is painting me most is how Bindow's genuine heart, sincerity, and innocence have been turned upside down and his goodness has been misinterpreted for evil.

"We all know who is Bindow, he doesn't join issues with anyone, he can't fight, always down to earth, he can't insult the likes of President Muhammadu Buhari who is more of a Father to him.

" The bottom line is that no unity, no power for Adamawa APC come 2023," Khaleel said

Khaleel who is the Adamawa state Coordinator, Northern Region of the APC Social media promoters said he will work within the clock to make sure peace, unity is ensured in the party as he is a vanguard of APC Unity.

He called on concerned youth to reach out to him through this means;halilusajo@gmail.com.

Politics / Bindow, Leaked Audio And The Rest Of Them by TGNEWS(m): 6:41pm On Aug 12
By Dr Buba Hassan Michika

If there is one thing I dislike about politics, Nigerian politics especially, is the fact that lies, mischief and blackmail is the order of the day for most politicians, even with those who seem to have more credence and integrity than the others.

And this instance is not better highlighted than the recently leaked audio tape of an APC reconciliation meeting of Yola South where it was reported that the aggrieved APC members could hardly wait for the meeting to start when they started making unguarded utterances against President Muhammadu Buhari.

Another spread lie about the meeting was that, Bindow had convened the stakeholders’ meeting on the chances of APC in 2023 in Adamawa State, especially as it bordered on his governorship ambition.

The truth was, the meeting was conveyed by aggrieved members of the party over the recent primaries and Bindow attended as the vice-chairman of the APC North East reconciliation committee to reconcile the warring factions, which he met separately.

I wish to state that, I am never a fan of former Adamawa State Governor, Senator Muhammad Umar Jibrilla Bindow, but say what you want about the man, he has done well for the state and is certainly loyal to President Buhari and the APC.

I know this because I have monitored Adamawa politics closely for a long time and I have sat with people in every political platform across the state since 2003. There hasn’t been a meeting of CPC and then later APC which I am not privy of in the last 15 years.

Like it was rightly captured by senior APC stalwart and elder of the party Alhaji Adamu Sani Yola in an interview with the press, the leaked audio is nothing but the makings of some malicious and mischievous elements within the party.

The APC chieftain stated that, the malicious elements in the party had thought that the relationship between Senator Bindow and the presidency will go sour after 2019 and to their shock and disappointment, Bindow’s relationship with the govt and the party has continued to wax stronger by the day.

“Therefore, instead of coming together in the party to face the ruling opposition in the state, they resorted to using all kinds of evil and mischievous machination to destroy Bindow’s political reputation, which unfortunately for them has continued to grow”.

“What is especially annoying is the fact that, these people who claim to love President Buhari and the APC more than all of us are actually people who in the past never believed in the President or his political ideology and they were never there when President Buhari needed them the most”.

Senator Bindow was among the first 12 Senators to decamped from the PDP, when Nuhu Ribadu, Buba Marwa and their cohorts were running to the PDP and working against President Buhari - Bindow stood with Buhari and worked for his party, the APC.

“I will give you instances, in 2014, Buba Marwa, who was once a guber candidate for the CPC, dumped the CPC and worked for former President Goodluck Jonathan against President Buhari at the polls in 2015”.

“Nuhu Ribadu dumped the APC to contest the governorship election under the PDP because he didn’t believe in President Buhari’s chances and ideals, an election he lost overwhelmingly to Senator Bindow”.

“In same 2015, Senator Aisha Binani contested the Senate under the PDM, which she lost to AbdulAziz Nyako and her husband also contested for the guber poll under the same party and he lost too”.

“Therefore, you don’t need a soothsayer to tell you who is loyal to the APC and President Buhari and who is not between Bindow and the likes of Ribadu and Marwa. It’s clear and history has made us all understood that”.

“If you take away Senator Binani or AbdulAziz Nyako no single one of them can win an election in their wards not even their local governments, and history has made us also understood that too. They are nothing but irrelevant politicians living on other people’s glory”.

“These are serial election losers, and opposing Bindow, these people couldn’t even win their wards in 2015 not even their local governments and they betrayed President Buhari when it mattered the most and what he stood for and today they are the same set of people trying to create problem between Senator Bindow and the president”.

“The sad thing for these Adamawa political inconsequential men, is that they want to be Bindow and they haven’t. They wanted the Senate and Bindow was a Senator, they wanted the governorship seat and Bindow was a governor, they simple want to have his political relevance, which they will never get “.

“Another interesting thing about the political blunder of these people was that, in 2019, they worked against President Buhari in Adamawa state because they felt if President Buhari has won in the state, Senator Bindow will take the credit and that is a sad thing for them”.

“Any leader who wants Adamawa for political glory will always align with Senator Bindow as it is clear for many years, that the only politician loved and adored by the people in Adamawa state is Senator Muhammad Umar Jibrilla Bindow”, he concluded.

I truly hope someone, somewhere will advise the party and the president about doing what’s right in Adamawa state because it’s an established fact that, all these political wigs put together are not half as popular as Senator Bindow is in the state. I truly hope they don’t ruin the party with their continuous lies, mischief and malice. A word is enough for the wise.

Politics / I'm Never Part Of The Story Making Around Against President Buhari- Bindow by TGNEWS(m): 11:54pm On Aug 09
.....he Visits Yola South APC to unite Waring factions ahead of 2023 elections

Base on the decision taken by All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders at all levels to consult widely for the party's cohesion and unity of all members, the immediate past Governor of Adamawa State Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow was in Yola South Local Government to unite a perceived Waring factions of the party.

The lingering crisis of the two factions Umaru vowed to foster peace for the benefit of APC in the state.

The meeting which brought together former Adamawa Speaker, Rt Hon Kabiru Mijinyawa, former commissioner of local government and chieftaincy affairs, Mustapha Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, and many former aides and party critical stakeholders of the local government.

Our reporter gathered that the former Governor insists on the two-party factions to tow the path of peace and unity which is the main essence of his visit.

Alhaji Bala Usman, APC loyalist and former aide to Senator Jibrilla however granted an interview to this medium that a viral audio and some online media are peddling a different part of the meeting whereby dragging the name of Umaru over what he knows nothing about.

Usman said viral making story on the social media that Suleiman Adamu, APC caretaker committee Chairman of Yola South wishing President Muhammadu Buhari dead with Coronavirus and report are dragging the name of Senator Jibrilla is total wickedness because he is never part of whatever bad they discussed.

"I want people to listen to that audio very well, there was no anywhere Bindow's voice was been recorded or heard of him saying anything. This is just a premeditated plan to smear his name for blackmail and mischievous reasons.

"May I however said that they have all failed, those wishing and aiming him bad over what he knows nothing about they have indeed failed.

"I want to say that, my Principal cannot support evil to triumph over good, or anybody raining causes on President Muhammadu Buhari. This is not him, and he cant never be part of it. He was there to mend fences of our dear party, which for the past two weeks he has been meeting with different party stakeholders to bring total unity for the party to succeed in the coming 2023 General elections." Bala Said

Bala reiterated that the audio and the reports have exonerated Senator Umaru as there was not anywhere he has been quoted saying anything bad against the Buhari who he always and respectfully calling him "My Father". Dragging his name to the purported report is unjustifiable, it's aimed at blackmailing him and tarnishing his good name in the eyes of the President.

"I want to categorically say that Bindow is never in any way associating himself with that report and we demand a retract of his name and unreserved apology." Bala added

Politics / Adamawa Gov Fintiri Humiliated Me, Time Is In Phases, Men Are In Sizes-sen Grace by TGNEWS(m): 12:57pm On Aug 04
.....Obasanjo didn’t impose me as Adamawa Senator – Bent

Recently, the first female Senator from the North-East, Grace Bent joined the league of defectors by moving from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). In this interview with Yusuf Alli, Managing Editor, Northern Operation, she bared it all on why she left PDP after over 20 years of membership. Excerpts.

What informed your recent defection from the PDP to the APC?

I have been in the PDP for well over 20 years. And before I became a PDP member, I was the Deputy National Chairman of my former party, the then PLP which had Engr. Ezekiel Izuogu as the chairman then. We had the likes of ex-Governor John Odigie-Oyegun and Baba Balarabe Musa, among others, as members. I became a Political Adviser in PDP after the merger with my former political party.

I then went on, by the help of God, to become the first female Senator from the North-East geopolitical zone and Adamawa State. After then, I became a member of the Board of Trustees of the PDP till my decamping or defection depending on whatever nomenclature you want to use.

At a time in your life, you have to look inward or take stock of your activities in all ramifications, whether you are a politician or a lawyer or whatever field of human endeavour you found yourself. That was one of the very critical time I have found myself on my political escapades, my political activities, my success stories, my up and down and so on. I took stock and I went into very serious consultations. First and foremost, I had to seek the face of God Almighty, who in the first Instance permitted me to go into politics.

Whether anybody likes it or not, the God factor in everything we do can never be over emphasized. I sought the face of God, I prayed and sought for advice, guidance and did consultations with my political constituents and my political associates and of course with my immediate and extended families. And we came to the conclusion that this is the time to move on to the other side. As a Christian, there is a scripture in my Bible that tells me that I have moved around this particular mountain for so long and it is time for me to take a bold step of faith and look for a different platform.

And the whole essence of politics, that I know, is that you need a platform for you to operate and do whatever you think you need to do as a Servant-Leader. The bottom line is my service to my people. Nigerian Constitution does not have an independent candidature as one of its platforms yet in our Electoral laws. So, you still need a political party. And I looked through all the political parties that we still have, and the one that appeals to me for now, where I have other political associates and like minds, it is the All Progressives Congress (APC).

We went into a lot of consultations, talks and dialogue with the leadership. I didn’t have a choice after being convinced beyond any iota of doubt that this is the time to move to the other side.

All these hurdles were there for me to cross. Sometimes my husband will ask me, how do we do this and I said look, if there is anything I am sure of it is Jehovah that has sent me on this mission. So, let’s keep moving and I kept on moving. In addition, the responses that I was getting from my constituents in Adamawa South were so monumental that I said this is indeed God. God gave the victory during the primary level and at the general election. This was a moment in my life that was so turbulent prior to my primaries, general elections and post-election. It’s been a cocktail kind of experiences because you are today happy, tomorrow somebody is not happy that you are happy. Somebody wants to put a clog in your wheel of happiness and others are conspiring. I have looked inwards and I said to myself, politics to me because of my personal experience, is a concentric cycles of conspiracy. You are there, your constituents want you but a group of people somewhere is there plotting how to cut you off both physically and spiritually. My experiences are mixture of so many things. I thank God I was able to get elected to the Senate and I happened to be one of the very principled female politicians in this country.I can count how many of us that have remained in PDP for a period of 20 years without moving out of that party for one minute and I happened to be one of them. It is a normal game to politicians to jump from one party to another. I am not a bread and butter politician.

People say those of you who are defecting have no principles. What is your take?

In 2014, my people in Adamawa South again beckoned on me to come and run and I said God do I go. I bought my form, did everything and another conspiracy started. This time around, some aspirants who did not have the grassroots appeal, who saw me as a threat felt if that primary was allowed to hold in Adamawa and to be free and fair, they were going to lose out. The party constitution is very clear about this. Every primary election must be held at the headquarters. If it is governorship it will hold in the state capital, if it is Senatorial, it will hold in the Senatorial headquarter. To my consternation, we were waiting for the electoral panel to come for primaries there, do you know that our primaries was moved from Adamawa to Abuja? We didn’t know that the primaries had been held at the Eagle Square, I heard it over the network news in the evening that candidates have emerged for the party. Where? How? We fought through that and nobody gave us a listening ear. We told the party, ‘look you are playing with fire.’ If you do this PDP will lose elections in Adamawa. We meant it because those that were disenfranchised were on ground. We were the grassroots people by the grace of God. We continued to appeal to them, go back and do this election in the right way. If we go to court the court will overturn this.

All of us, the other aspirants that were disenfranchised, said look, since they gave us deaf ears, let us leave them but one thing that I as a person specifically told Mr. President is that ‘if this primary was not allowed to be redone in Adamawa, we were going to have problems and we may very likely lose the elections.’ My prophecy of course, came to pass. At the Governorship Election, we came third. The National Assembly, the three Senators lost, same with the House of Representatives. It was a bad case and APC took Adamawa in 2015.

Afterwards we started having problems with the emergence of factions in the party; the Ali Modu Sheriff faction in the party and the other faction. The party was highly polarized and it shook the very foundation of the party. I was one of the very few that stood our grounds that we were not going to allow this party collapse. You are a journalist of repute. You knew how vocal I was on that matter and we made sure that in Adamawa State, where the Sheriff faction had already taken over the party, I was among the few that took the party out of the Sheriff faction in Adamawa State. It is on record and you can find out.

You can find out from Senator Makarfi-led caretaker. I was at the forefront of rebuilding a new PDP in 2017 to 2018 and that is the structure that brought Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. In fact, some meetings were held in my house, some in Hajiya Zainab Maina’s house, Governor Boni Haruna’s house and several places. There are times even Governor Fintiri will come pick me up in my house, drive me in his car to go to some places for us to have meetings. We were working as a team. We zoned the various positions and I was part of the zoning. Three of us were mandated to zone. We did the zoning. We had our congress. The present chairman of the party is from Southern zone, which is my own constituency. I nominated him and some others before the congress was held. I didn’t know they had another ulterior motive against me. I spelt out clearly that I was going to contest, and I contested. Having laboured with my life, substance, and with my God given wisdom, to rebuild the PDP in Adamawa State and that is the structure that made Fintiri emerged.

What happened was that the party decided it was going to be the governorship primaries first before the National Assembly. At the venue of the primaries, a lot of horse trading was going on, I was inside. So many dirty things happened and while the votes were being counted, some rascals came into the venue and destabilized the continuation of the counting of the votes and the panel had not even finished entering the votes into their sheets nor announced the winners. That election could be best said to be inconclusive because about three of us contested. The few votes they had registered into their result sheets were what the panel submitted and what the panel submitted was that Grace Bent won the primaries. So, for them to claim that someone else won the primaries, was a lie. If someone else won the primaries, I could claim I won the primaries because what happened there was that the panel could not, as it were finish all their entries into the results sheets but the ones they were able to compile was what they brought here and it was my name that was submitted. I was given the INEC form and I started preparing before I was called that Fintiri and some other people in high places had said it wasn’t me that won the primaries and at such they should give it to another person. That was how I was deprived.

Is it the same Fintiri that you worked for?

Yes. So when Fintiri begins to talk about Grace Bent doing anti-party, I think it is a most uncharitable thing for him to have said. I voted for Fintiri on the day of the primaries. Fintiri and I were at the forefront of constituting that executive that made him emerge. So I don’t know where the anti-party came from. If he is talking about anti-party, my local government gave the highest number of votes in the presidential election. It is on record that the Adamawa southern Zone did well for Fintiri too.

Were you pushed to wall to defect?

I was pushed to the wall. I was so humiliated. Fintiri won election as governor and changed. You see when people suffer from severe complex, I think that is one of the problems our leaders suffer in this country. It is high time they begin to understand that ‘you cannot change certain things about certain people. If God creates an opportunity for you, don’t destroy it. If God uses a ladder for you to climb to the top, don’t use your feet to throw the ladder away. Otherwise, by the time you fall from that top, you will fall like a pack of cards.

But you have survived worst moments in PDP, why did you leave the party?

I have survived worst moment but look let me tell you, politics is about service and my own kind of service is to be in the mainstream of where things are happening. Time is in phases, men are in sizes. The time for me to be at the background and be calling the shots, I have done that. When time comes for me to come out and contest, why would you not want my face to be seen? At the background, you want me to be part of the people mixing the tomatoes, pepper, onions and making the stew, but when it is time for us to begin to dish out the things for people, you will want to ease me out. I am not interested in eating, I am interested in us delivering the dividends of democracy to the people we have sworn an oath to. So what is it about? This is two and half years since the 2019 governorship elections I didn’t leave the party. I was pushed to the wall enough to have left the party at that time. I attended Fintiri’s inauguration. But do you know to my own chagrin, Fintiri has never called any stakeholders meeting. This is the tradition of the party. When the likes of Professor Jibril Aminu, Tafida Adamawa, Bamanga Tukur, Turaki Adamawa and a lot of leaders we had, governors and critical stakeholders were always called together to take decisions that affect the survival of that party. But today, it is a different case. Governor Fintiri’s stakeholders are his appointees – his Commissioners – and the people that are his stooges. These are the only people he calls to meetings and what he says is what everybody takes home and it becomes the norm. Governor Fintiri does not want anybody that will come and challenge him. He doesn’t want to be advised. He doesn’t want alternative opinion. How can you succeed as a leader?

But can you get a better deal in APC?

You see, when you talk about deal, if APC will give me a level playing ground, I don’t need a deal.

I mean will you stay…without defecting again?

I foresee I will stay with the calibre of people that have persuaded me to come into the APC. These are men and women of proven integrity.

Do you want to return to the Senate? Would you like to run in 2023?

If my people say Grace Bent run, I will run. I am not going to waste one minute. For your information the National Assembly is the best place to be if you really want to work. There, you don’t have a vote. As a Senator, I didn’t have a vote. No senator has a vote. A Senator is essentially a lawmaker to make good laws for the people, do oversight functions and be a check and balance to the executive as it were. Some of the Governors play God and when you begin to play God in lives of people you know the end. How do candidates emerge in our political parties? The delegates system has been a colossal failure. The problem is like what you call garbage in, garbage out. How do the delegates emerge? Manipulation! How do the candidates for the parties emerge? They emerge through manipulation because a governor is ‘the almighty” in the state. He owns the party structure. The party allows him to own the party structure because there is no party supremacy.

He is the automatic leader?

Yes and it is not constitutional. It was only conventional because PDP made it and until PDP and every other political party go back to the drawing table, our democracy would be far from being consolidated. When a governor is stronger than the party and a party chairman is so scared of the governor, when a Working Committee does not want to hurt the feelings of the governor, then democracy is threatened. Damn it! Because a governor gives you money that is not his personal money, taxpayers’ money, he calls the shots. And even if he will call the shots, call shots that have human faces. Don’t call the shots that are disadvantageous to the electorate. But you see the governors would want a senator that would come and genuflect (rankadede). Your senator cannot come and sit down with you? You were elected, he was elected. As a matter of fact, a governor is a local champion. All their activities do not go beyond their states. A Senator is a senator of the Federal Republic. But because of the military mentality, a governor sees himself as be all, end all. If you look at the protocol, a Senator comes before a governor but because a governor controls huge votes, he assumes he is above all. They said a poor man has very good ideas and so blest with wisdom and is talking, you will see how they will rubbish him. When a rich man is talking, even if the wealth is questionable, everybody, not everybody, people without conscience, people who have raised money above their conscience will listen to the moneybag at the detriment of the wisdom from the poor man. So the dilemma being faced by our democracy must be looked into very critically. The electoral law must be consolidated.

Most people thought you were imposed as a Senator on the people of Adamawa State by ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo.

I have had a couple of people say it. President Obasanjo is alive; you can go and ask him what role he played in the emergence of Grace Bent. As a matter of fact, when I went to meet President Obasanjo – you know his usual blunt nature – he told me in no clear terms: ‘don’t waste your money. Are you sure you can do this?’ You can also go and find out from Professor Jibril Aminu who was the link man then in Adamawa state, if President Obasanjo ever mentioned to him to deliver Grace Bent. As a matter of fact, Professor Jibril Aminu did not believe I could scale through the primaries. So when people go and meet him and say why should this woman contest? Which part of the constitution stops me from contesting for God’s sake? Section 41 subsection 1 says it clearly, “no person by reason of sex, birth or religion should be discriminated against in this country.”

They said he imposed a Yoruba Senator on the people of Adamawa South?

How can Obasanjo do that? He was not on the field. He did not tell anybody to do anything for me. If there was anybody he was going to talk to it would have been Professor Jibril Aminu…

Or Nyako?

Nyako or the party chairman. But Nyako himself was aspiring. I already had my own structure because I was already a political adviser before I went to contest. I was already working for my people. So, President Obasanjo did not contribute an iota of support into my emergence.

And he did not impose you?

He never imposed me. Thank God he is alive. I am using this as a very good opportunity to air this issue out for once. President Obasanjo himself never even gave me a chance of winning my primaries talk less of general elections. Senator Ahmadu Ali is alive. He was the National Chairman then. You can go and ask him on how I won my primaries. You can go and interview him. When they realized I won my primaries, a group of politicians – men – went to him to ask me to step down and go to the House of Representatives so that they can give the ticket to someone else and the clear answer from Senator Ahmadu Ali, wonderful man, was ‘this is a party that believes in the rule of law. If Grace Bent takes us to court after winning this primary, she will defeat us. We will not do that. She won her primaries even when nobody believed she would win.’ Baba Ahmadu Ali is alive. Baba Obasanjo is alive. The people voted me of their own free volition, without coercion or gun on their necks. In fact, the odds were against me because I contested against eight men. So, for lily and fickle minded person to say Obasanjo imposed me and they keep saying it without the fear of God that President Obasanjo imposed. President Obasanjo couldn’t have imposed me. Did President Obasanjo come to build structure for me in Adamawa? Did the Yoruba people come to build structure for me in Adamawa? I won my general elections in nine local governments. May God forgive these people that keep making these assertions that President Olusegun Obasanjo imposed me.

Politics / Let's Support Ourselves -delu Calls On Nigerian Females Politicians by TGNEWS(m): 11:35am On Aug 02
Seeing how women in Nigeria and across the world are given impressive leadership qualities and styles, a female politician in Adamawa, Mrs. Delu James has called for a support base for women folks who are into politics in the country.

Mrs. James who is a grassroots politician and a renowned philanthropist has advocated that women have proven to be the best leaders in the world in recent times.

Citing the likes of Okonju Iweala, Senator Aishatu Ahmed Dahiru Binani, Senator Binta Masi Garba, Hajiya Binta Garba (A successful bank General Manager) as examples of successful politicians and career women in their respective places of calling.

Delu said this while marking the birthday celebration of Salomi Rejoice Ishaku, President and converner of young women in Nigerian politics in her Abuja residence.

According to her the good spirit of leadership talent in young female politicians like Rejoice should not be damped but supported to gear them up to leadership positions.

She extolled Salomi as one promising Nigerian that is carrying the future of women politicians on their shoulders with a hope to have a better country.

The Adamawa-born female politician recalls how a fellow woman, Ambassador Ginika Tor noticed her leadership gift and recommended her for the Youth initiative movement, an international organization aimed at helping the youth assume the true leaders of tomorrow dream.

"What Ambassador Tor did to me is exactly what I'm calling on women politicians in the country to support our own, push women folks into places of responsibilities, I tell you we have the best, we can give the best and we are hard-working, having a sense of integrity, sincerity, and intelligence to make a huge difference the country needs.

" This is what i have been thought to do in order to compliment the Men holding the helms of leadership affairs in the country " Delu said

While appreciating the gesture and the honor done to her to mark her birthday, Miss Salomi said she owes it all to Mrs. James who is more of a Mother, mentoring her in politics and inculcating the norms, virtues of godliness into her.

"Mommy I can't thank you enough, you are always there for me. I truly owe it all to you. God will bless you and keep you for the sake of the downtrodden you are selflessness serving." Rejoice said

Politics / Chief Emma Bello: When State Assignment Beckons In 2023 by TGNEWS(m): 6:30pm On Jul 31
By Joseph Sunday

The assertion that Adamawa state is a land of beauty, is a fact beyond a mere slogan.

Great philanthropist, a leader of excellence, and an international business Mogul. I'm glad to bring to your notice that Chief Emmanuel Bello stands out, he is another Adamawa good man whose leadership potentials are yet to be harnessed in fullness. My Little worry therefore this man is allowed to move freely without placing on his shoulders leadership responsibility. Could it be that somebody is not seeing what I have seen on this Man? I'm seeing a blazing, brazing, and plausible rank of leadership on this man.

I recalled while Chief Emmanuel was a lawmaker representing Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency at the National Assembly (Green Chambers 6th Assembly). He was able to bring to his constituents a watersheds representation, to this very moment of almost two decades to have left the National Assembly, his many constituency projects are a reference point for others to borrow a clue of good leadership.

Chief is a one Man politician that can never be into political Reckless gambling as far as Adamawa state is concerned, he is a core politician who knows the game in total, he believes in grassroots politics has made him a man with the people's mandate. Emma is a cooked, a thorough breed, and cum laude of leadership.

The ever-ready and preparedness to take Adamawa state from the woods, the brooks of stagnant waters of bad leadership, he went to international Harvard Business school, he earned strategic training, courses in leadership and service to humanity. No wonder the last 2019 gubernatorial elections in which he was the sole gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), the votes he polled were described as the magic and the determinant votes for PDP to win and APC to lose. Even though political bad elements worked against the interest of the Adamawa people.

The 2019 election was purely a crime of modern Democracy which was perpetrated by stakeholders from the federal government. They staged a Conflict of interest, displayed a high sense of political manipulations in a broad daylight, and the emergence of political factions in SDP, APC, and PDP was in a way in the last 2019 Elections to have worked against Bello who would have won the election neatly.

May I make an observable fact that Adamawa states are fortunate to have the likes of Bello who by nature is not a man that's good in blowing out his trumpet? By working closes with him I realized that he owned it all, regarding who will save the state from years of leadership bastardization, another junky year of nepotism, enmeshing wealth for personal use, and aggrandizement glory over the electorates who entrusted people with the power to lead and to govern.

This is why is far away apart. Uniquely different from others who are grasping for power. The system is saturated with people who are majorly after their gains. The System is bad with leaders who do not know what is leadership and service to humanity. My desire for Bello to be our next Adamawa Governor is far from whatever or any kind of primordial sentiments. My view is base on the objectivity of who Bello is, An International Business Man, a historic lawmaker, and a true Democrat whose value system is God and humanity, selfless service to all on fairness, Justice, and all-inclusive government.

My readers will agree with me that the state is moving with a protracted nature of underdevelopment, a phenomenon I know Bello will address headlong into massive infrastructural development, massive employment, wooing investors into the state because of his international connection with many world leaders. He will revive the Agricultural sector, boom the educational system, introduce a world standard health care system for people in rural communities and urban settlements.

Because of the glaring facts and political realities in Adamawa state, this is to gear up hope that the existing gaps of ineptitude will be better filled by Chief Emmanuel Beĺlo, an erudite personality of our time. I'm on an appeal mission, Chief Emma Beĺlo ( Dan Iya of Garkida)is the man to beat, the real servant whose excellent potentials leadership abilities have never been properly tapped. Let my people from Adamawa Central give him a home push, my Northern zone electorates to canvass for him because he is a man that can pursuit a fulfill dream. My people from the Southern zone, I present to you hope for a better tomorrow, a gentleman of excellence, a down-to-earth personality who is a golden gift for our dear state.

My Adamawa people, I'm deeply convinced that CHIEF EMMANUEL BELLO will be a pillar to straighten our Democratic norms in the state in this 21st century globalized democracy. He is always a man in action who you can buy his words at all times, "he doesn’t speak a CHANGE, But he makes a CHANGE by putting a plan in ACTION to assure us. People are all satisfied.

My concern and worry are about the state of affairs in our land of beauty, It is seen, it is known we are a state with a vicious cycle of serious underdevelopment because of bad leadership for so many years ." Oh! Adamawa people who have bewitched us?" The gap between development and underdevelopment is wide, is big, it takes only a man like Bello to fill in the gap.

It is now a passionate appeal to the people of Adamawa and well-meaning to compel the man in the know of leadership and politics to fully participate in the coming 2023 general elections. It's a clarion call to Chief Bello, let him consider this Noble call to help in rebuilding our state that needs greater minds to contribute in making Adamawa state great and Nigeria an envious country in the world.

Politics / Adamawa People Extol SGF Boss' Leadership Strides by TGNEWS(m): 3:18pm On Jul 24
....describe him "Mr Synergy" of nation building

By Tom Garba, Yola

In a Sallah get-together dinner organised by "Mr Synergy Movement", a group in a mission to support the Secretary to the government of the federation (SGF) whose selfless service to the nation is beyond measures, Barr Boss Mustapha and host All Progressives Congress (APC) party supporters, social media influencers, journalists, well wishers and his supporters in Adamawa state.

The Invited guests in attendance took turns to described Mustapha a Man on a good course in building the nation.

The gathering which brought together eminent people and showered praises of goodwill, prayers to Mustapha with accolades of good leadership performance, extolled him as "Mr Synergy" of Nigeria of government, a national builder on a rescue mission.

The praises were accorded to SGF, a senior stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the state at City Green Hotel in Yola to Mark the Eid-El Kabir.

The coordinator of the Mr Synergy movement, Musa Usman Terrang while welcoming the invited guests said the movement is to appreciate many of the social and conventional media men who have been supportive to Mr Synergy movement.

While revealing the mandate of Mr Synergy movement to the invited guests who included the officials of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Some notable state APC officials, supporters and Boss' political loyalists, the coordinator said the mission of the movement is to project his work well wherever possible.

A business Man and an ardent loyalist of the SGF, Alhaji Danjuma Mohammed described Mustapha as a stanchion upholder of democracy norms and values, a true follower of President Muhammadu Buhari's style of leadership.

Danjuma who represented the SGF said Boss is a multi dimensional silence achiever who has never blow his trumpet to celebrate himself of doing good to humanity.

This according to Danjuma made Mustapha to be a Man that always see himself a privileged Nigerian who need to do more for the nation that is in dare need of good leaders.

He said being his close political supporter he can say it anywhere without shadow of doubt or fear that Boss is really working and bringing dividends of democracy in Adamawa state.

"It's glaring and notably seen around so many federal government projects scattered across the state is the hand work of this humble Man (Boss), he facilitated most of the projects you are seeing in this state.

" His honesty, believe of being good to people is service to God and does not need much acknowledgement or praises by anyone. This has turned Boss a unique leader among many others that I know and I'm seeing.

"He has done quite a lot of things to individuals, organizations and corporate bodies, he facilitated many federal government projects which are visible seen across the state with a warning cautioning people he did that.

"This is one thing I know the Man is a passionate humanitarian, he does his things hundreds percent because of God and humanity." Danjuma said

The gathering was more of appreciation parlay to ginger Boss and put more grease In his elbows to do more as speech of the Adamawa APC Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal who was represented by the Assistant publicity Secretary of the party, Mohammed Mayas has reiterated their untiring support for Mustapha.

Mayas said Boss is a full blooded Nigerian whose image has extended beyond the borders of Adamawa, Nigerians are comfortable with him and the testimonies they do receive on daily basis is making everyone in the state proud.

He enjoined the people of the state to work on their shoulders high because their son is earning respect not only in the country but across the globe.

He worried about those who are seeing themselves as opposition, blindly giving wrong and skewed criticism at the detriment of Adamawa state.

"He has left no one in doubt of his determination to walk across the unbeaten track because of his driving force deep sense of national obligation and biding desire to serve humanity.

"This is why he is always doggedly committed to the pursue of his goals and in so doing, the perfectionist in him is always appearing. He did not believe in half measure, but what is worth doing is worth doing well, and that earns him the name Mr. Synergy.

" Honesty I am personally stunned by his simplicity, decency, gentleness and his intimidating profile of achievements. I can never get bored talking reading or even writing about Boss Mustapha. He is indeed my ideal kind of a leader."Mayas Said

Mayas while enumerating the achievements of Boss since assumption into office, he extolled him an enigma, a magician of sorts, that he has technically forced the general public to watch, listen and even follow his exemplary leadership qualities with envy.

"The name” Boss” in English means leader this naturally makes him a Man with a Midas touch, who had a godly upbringing by a God fearing parents. He is always humble and gentle with a warm character.

" I tell you Boss is a board room guru, a public policy analyst per excellence, add his intimidating educational social and political attainment and you roll out a man of tremendous qualities. Put together these have made him a conscientious dreamer you may not be wrong if you describe Boss Mustapha a born leader." Mayas added

Crime / Church Body Supports UNICEF, EU UN To Fight Injustice Against Women And Girls by TGNEWS(m): 1:42pm On Jul 22
Churches under CCN partner UNICEF, EU UN Spotlight initiative to end violence against women and girls in Adamawa

Churches under the Association of Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) in partnership with UNICEF under the European Union (EU), united Nations
(UN) spotlight initiative to end violence against women and girls (EVAWG).

The leadership of the Association in a Media Parlay at LCCN (Grace) in Yola told journalists that they are convinced ending violence against woman and girls is a possibility if all hands are on desk.

The CCN President, Most Rev Dr Benebo Febura- Manuel while addressing journalists admitted that Churches have been part of the problem and so, should be part of the solution.

"We challenge the patriarchal systems long embedded into the fabric of the faith confessions of our historic Churches and reject every “godly” blessing hitherto given to violence against women and girls.

"We do this in confidence that our reading of the Bible with its unashamed
stance for justice does not permit us to stand for violence against women and
girls. Jesus, our Savior and Lord, was born of a woman and lived a life here on
earth as a child under the care of loving parents, but knew in his own childhood experience the evil of the violence of adults, especially that of king Herod. Yet he grew up with girls and worked with women to preach and demonstrate the love of the kingdom of God in the life of all. To this effect, he took little children into his arms and blessed them, made them the best examples of the Kingdom life and insisted that doing good to them attracts the mercies of heaven and doing evil to them the condemnation of heaven. He adjusted the social role of women in his time, loved them and worked with them in spite of the explosive and sensitive setting in which he ministered, challenged the stereotypes against them by showing them as reliable witnesses and even used them as the first witnesses to the most crucial event of his ministry, being the resurrection and presented them as worthy of love and care. This example of Jesus stands against every form of marginalization of women and girls today; and this is a strong guide to." Benebo said

Benebo also said that all Churches under the umbrella of CCN has scheduled a week long enlightenment campaign in Adamawa on ending violence against women and girls commenced on 21st (Yesterday), 2021.

According to him the role of faith-based organizations in ending violence against EVAWG is most needed at this time that injustice against girl child is going on unabated and aided by the system.

Benebo revealed that the governments of the nations of our world are not sufficiently tackling the challenges with respect to Violence against Women and Girls.

"Clearly, our country is not winning in this battle. But it should win. We have all it takes to have a secure country and to end all forms of violence especially those against women and girls. The political and social systems are not skewed in the favor of women and girls but rather against them. The
religious systems worsen their plight even when claiming to be the agents of
liberation. We regret all these and set ourselves in the path of change. We
commit, therefore, to directly, personally and communally opposing all systems of marginalization that we have inherited or set up or that we are presently designing or setting up.

"We recognize that violence has taken an aggressive form in many facets
of our society in recent times due to the increasing rate of unemployment of
many young people, the poverty of many homes exacerbated by the COVID-19
pandemic, the inter-tribal and communal clashes in many regions of the country, the menace of kidnapping and mindless brutalizations and killings by some herdsmen. All these have combined to bring undue sufferings to woman and girls in our country. And with the deeply rooted patriarchy of our cultures, albeit in varying degrees, we cannot deny that woman and girls have been the chief victims.

"CCN has joined this collaboration because we realize that Violence against Women and Girls is not what the Churches or faith based organizations alone can solve; it calls for multilateral efforts and initiatives and every form of support is a move in the right direction. We believe that this collaboration will assist many non-religious persons to discern clearly how they have been trapped in the same declining culture and do all that they can to stop this evil.

"This week of enlightenment calls for fresh and aggressive approaches to
raising awareness on Ending Violence against Women and Girls because if this
collaboration between the Christian Council of Nigeria and UNICEF must be
worth it, it must reach the grassroots effectively. We shall collectively seek to reject abuse of women and girls of all forms, including women’s forced
domestication, discrimination in religious, political and social settings, girl child neglect, exploitation, abuse, and trafficking, and all shades and colours of Violence against Women and Girls – be they physical, emotional, sexual, or
psychological.

"We name Violence Against Women and Girls as a real evil confronting all communities in our country today. We admit that it happens in our homes,
institutions, religious organizations. In this Week of Enlightenment, we shall
expose all forms of violence against women and girls and re-examine the existing policies of all the bodies to which we belong and the policies of our nation with a view to discerning whether or not these policies perpetuate Violence Against Children in any form. And we commit to ending any such evil policy we discern.

"In this week, we commit to drawing attention to the systems that perpetuate
injustice, discerning their chameleonic ways of re-asserting their destructive
grips and spilling their poisonous venoms in educational, religious, traditional, political and domestic systems of the world today.

"We reject and condemn any who in the name of religion sends women and
girls out on suicide missions, pulls them out of their homes or schools and keeps them in camps and ghettoes, to use some as sex machines, to rape some and enslave them in forced marriages, to maim others who resist their evils and ruin their lives for no just cause. And we also live in a world in which many people of religious communities traffic our women and girls and expose them to both national and international danger simply for love of money. We challenge parents to start making sufficient provisions for the education of their girl children. We condemn the gender injustice that mothers experience and often transfer to their children without any conscience. We condemn the carelessness that allows relations and lovers of women abuse their girl children sexually or physically or emotionally. We condemn the rampant raping of infant girls for ritual and selfish purposes.

" We live in a world of rampant communal and inter-tribal wars, with their resultant negative physical, sexual, emotional and psychological impacts on women and girls. We live in a world where the policies that exist privilege men over and at the expense of women, where the policies teach men a false and ungodly masculinity in which their power is exercised over women and girls in forms of rape and abuse. We live in a world that does not give a fair chance to a woman in the job market, making her earn less than her male counterpart that she properly surpassed in class while in school. It is in this context that we have come together as Christians in collaboration with UNICEF to sensitize on the evil of Violence Against Women and Girls and to do all in our power to end it.

"We shall engage in mass street rallies and meet with significant political
and government figures who can initiate positive changes in this regard. We
shall hand out fliers and stickers that would send out our messages and pray to our one and only creator and redeemer in our churches so that by the grace of God we shall see an age in which violence against children is ended.

" We call on all religious leaders and on each and every one who hears us
today to join hands with the Christian Council of Nigeria in this work. We urge
all Churches to prioritize this in their liturgy and join with us in ending Violence Against Women and Girls.
May God make this a true and sincere effort. May our hearts be truly changed towards our women and girls in love.

"May the systems of injustice that
perpetuate violence crumble in our times and through our efforts and may the
Almighty God receive all the glory in the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, Amen." He added

Politics / Dr. Pongri: The Man's Eclat Of Administration Is Calling For A Nat'l Assignment by TGNEWS(m): 4:23pm On Jul 19
There are great Nigerians whose talents, wisdom, and ingenuity have never being taped or harnessed well, still underutilized because of the system failure to spot them for nation building.

In the Northeast region, Dr. Johnson H Pongri is an Adamawa-born Academician whose wealth of experience and vast knowledge in the political history of the country is under-tapped. Failure in accessing and harnessing this great wisdom i consider it an unpardonable sin this great country.

Pongri, a seasoned Educationist is no doubt one of the successful Education Administrators who transformed a motionless and lagged Adamawa State College of Education Hong into an excellent fortress and a refuge of academic excellence through learning.

Because of Pongri's innovative ideas the institution has become an ideal citadel of learning basking in the strength of academic and infrastructural excellence. He stook in his neck to change the narratives, he risked it all to became the Savior to that saved by destiny thousands of Northern Youths.

Some of the transformation projects worthy of note is the construction of modern hostels, Library, Lecture Theatres, Laboratories, offices as well as staff welfare, provision of water linking the college to the national grid among other projects.

Dr. Johnson's passion to place the institution in a competitive advantage, he facilitated the academics pursuits of Fifty-nine staff at Masters Degree level, over twenty staff at the Ph.D. level. These huge academics achievements were facilitated by him both within and outside the shores of Nigeria.

Long before Johnston's hard work of transforming the College of Education Hong, the Man had made his mark in the corporate world of academics. He was one of the senior lecturers at the state's pyrotechnic, Yola, a visiting lecturer at the Adamawa State University, Gombe State University, and Taraba State University Jalingo. Throughout his academic career, Dr. Pongri is seen a molder and a builder of young Nigerians on his dream of having a great country.

With all the great potentials laying waste and half harness, his wealth of experience will be utilized if he delves into politics, to have a glitzy corporate world because he is a man destined for greatness. His footprints remain indelible a champion of fighting a just course of the downtrodden and the voiceless.

Pongri is no doubt a Man having sterling qualities of a focused, pragmatic and progressive leadership that have positively affected the lives of the downtrodden and generality of Nigerians in many parts of the country, especially those from Adamawa state.

In his over one decade of active management of the State-owned College of Education, he has been the issue, both in his native language of Kilba, he has blazed the trail in leadership, he is indeed a model worthy of emulation.

Here comes the gap, the Adamawa political scene is still being nurtured and breeds by many who seem to never satisfy the yearning and the burning desire of the electorates. With the gap in good leadership, this is a man I see very much available for our dear nation to tap from his pool of wisdom, knowledge of administration, and his exceptional academic career which he has inspired millions. Few leaders have indeed developed as many leaders from the ranks of their proteges as he has done. His incredibly large and generous heart, political astuteness, and uncommon intellect have become the stuff of legend.

It is now a passionate appeal to the people of Adamawa and well-meaning to compel the erudite academician to fully participate in the coming 2023 general elections. It's a clarion call to Mr. Johnson to consider a national call to help in rebuilding our nation that needs greater minds to contribute to making it a great country.

To Dr. Pongri Sir, you can't say never, you can't run away from a task of leadership hanging in your shoulder by divine mandate. Sir, no doubt about it you are called, it's visible and all signs are glaring seen in you that you are the Man to help build the country, build Adamawa state with a good representation at the National Assembly in order to have a nation where Justice, Peace shall reign.

The people of Adamawa, most especially your immediate constituency Hong and Gombi are hoping to see you answering the call to represent them.

Politics / APC Is Stable, Is Coercive, A Party To Beat Come 2023- Adamawa Party's Bigwig by TGNEWS(m): 6:44am On Jul 18
...he is confident that APC will retake power from PDP in Adamawa.

An All Progressives Congress (APC) party bigwig, Alhaji Umar Duhu has reiterated his confidence in the stability of the party to form another government in 2023.

Umar, Adamawa party bigwig haven been the North East pioneer National Vice Chairman said the coerciveness of the party which is about to hold its Congress is gear toward forming the next government.

He revealed that one of the essences the Party at the National level has been shifting its congress is to give the high ranked politicians decamping into the party the opportunity to contribute to the congress process that will give birth to party Excos.

"As far as I'm concerned, APC is stable, APC is a party to beat, APC is one party that is resolute and coercive towards participating in the 2023 elections, hopefully, and God on our side, no doubt about it we are going to make it and form the next government," Duhu said

He also assured that the APC in Adamawa state will collect back her stolen mandate as all relevant stakeholders are united, are one in making sure that the factors, reasons that brought PDP into power are being removed in the interest of APC.

Umar believes that the party will have a rancor-free congress but drawn the attention of all members who are intending to aspire for one particular position or the order to know that God is the giver of power, participating in Congresses exercise does not give one a clear ticket to win an election.

He however said the party is going to measure up strength on stakeholders organizing a caucus meeting from the unit, ward to the state level to bring on board those that will serve the interest of the party.

According to Duhu, the party will still consider those who served well to retain them during the congress and ease out those that betrayed the party or are not working in the interest of the party.

"Is not going to be a do or die affair, it is just going to be a very simple issue, if there is something against you, or discovered beyond a reasonable doubt you worked against the party in 2019 and after, the party in a round table discussion will allow you to defend yourself. But we will no have any option if party officials at the state level are serving the party well to return them to continue their good work for the party. The party is after a congress that will give birth to credible party officials who will work in the interest of the party come 2023." He said

He continued to say that the quantum of people coming into APC shows the party is going to form the next federal and the next Adamawa government.

"I have already convinced you beyond reasonable doubt that APC is going to form the next Adamawa government because every person that worked against the interest of the party in the state are regretting their actions, they are now back, resolute to work in the interest of the party.

Politics / Stop Claiming Federal Govt Projects- Sen Abbo Blast Gov Fintiri by TGNEWS(m): 12:40pm On Jul 15
The fisticuffs between the Governor of Adamawa State, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, and his political Brother, Senator Ishaku Abbo representing the Northern Senatorial District of the State where the duo political cutthroats came from it seems to be unbroken.

This is as a result of the federal government work on the Kudzum Bridge, Michika Local Government Area of the state of which Senator Abbo alleged the Governor is claiming to be the sole financier of rebuilding the bridge destroyed by insurgents in 2014.

The Kudzum bridge is linking and is a leeway bridge to communities of Adamawa from the Northern Zone and borders Borno state from the Southern zone , Abbo said is purely the work of President Muhammadu Buhari following a motion he raised for the rebuilding of the bridge.

Abbo on a Telephone conversation with our reporter gave the historic background of how the bridge was awarded to RHAS constructed company limited when Binta Masi Garba was representing the area as the Senator.

According to Ishaku, Governor Ahmadu has been in one way or the order sabotaging, frustrating the completion of the roads, bridge projects for his primordial and selfish political sentiments of taking the glory.

Senator Abbo berated Governor Ahmadu to have made several efforts to even thwart the roads projects from Maraban Mubi to Bama, the Kudzum and Delchimi bridges are not completed on time because of his schemes plan to take the glory and to score himself a zero political point over what he has no business of.

"This is a Man since August 2019 has been doing everything possible to frustrate the completion of the work. I once sat with him in his office, all I discovered regarding the project is to frustrate the ongoing project by everything possible within his power and take the glory from the legislators who pushed harder to see that the bridge is rebuilt." Abbo said

He went memory lane to say that he visited the bridge in 2019 and 2020 and moved a motion for the completion of the work, visited the minister of works (state) alongside Sen Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani, Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe and they insisted that the work should be done.

But according to him, the company along the line didn't meet up with the expected standard to carry on with the work, one of the reasons the Ministry of works could not make budget provisions for the next fiscal year.

"When we discovered the weaknesses of the company, I moved for the revocation of the project, along the line I know that it will take time to work on the bridge, I approached NEDC to take over the bridge to be constructed. Now that I have asserted my authority and the bridge is almost completed, he is busy inspecting the bridge to take the glory over the federal government project." Abbo further stated

Abbo continues to say that it is worrisome Governor Ahmadu gave his social media assailants a go-ahead to rampage the social media by propagating that he owned the ongoing and the completed projects as awarded by the federal government.

"Governor Fintiri has criminally claimed what does not belong to him, instead of him to say thank you President Muhammadu Buhari, for doing the work but paid his "data boys" to revamp the social media in trying to claim the ownership of the work that he knows nothing about.

"Fintiri is fond of going about to inspect federal government projects. He has no business in inspecting the federal government projects. This is purely our work and he has no business with it.

" Can you imagine that Governor Fintiri went to Madagali to go and inspect the work of petroleum equalization trust fund after I requested for an intervention project? Now they are building a Hospital in Madagali, Fintiri has been going there to inspect the work.

"The work of MCRP from Samiya Mubi to Bazza, about twenty-five kilometers is federal government work, it's a not a state government project also but the Governor goes about claiming our work.

"May I reiterate that While Fintiri is building political fly under a bridge in front of Jimeta modern market where there is no much economic value, I'm building Bridges for my people. The work that is economically viable, linking our communities who are farmers and business people.

" I tell you the government of Fintiri is doing nothing more than propaganda and siphoning public funds.

The Senator who also took to his Facebook official page made categorical statements how Governor Ahmadu is claiming projects done by the federal government through efforts made by him and said:

"We are quietly committed to developmental projects that will stimulate the economic growth of our people. Recently work was completed on Mubi - Vimtim - Bazza road spanning 33.5 Km constructed by the Federal Government through MCRP. The road was last constructed in 1981 and remained in a Dilapidated and wasted state for forty ( 40) years. Today we have changed the narrative. The road is smooth as silk. All thanks to President Buhari who listened to us.

"The Senate Committee on Special Duties will soon be in Mubi to oversight the road and ascertain its quality.

"Again in 2014 bridges linking Southern Borno and Adamawa particularly bridges in Madagali and Michika was destroyed. I promised to get them fixed during my tenure. In August 2019 I paid a visit to the site and twice interacted with the Honourable Minister of Works. I also moved a motion in the Senate to revoke the contract and award it to the Army Corps of Engineers. As pressure mount and the Ministry of works could not provide budgetary provisions because RHAS the company didn’t submit any Job compilation certificates. We approached NEDC to fund only the bridges and leave the funding of the roads to the ministry.

"Today works on the bridges are on final stages. This Job is 100% Federal Government owned and funded.

"While we appreciate Gov. Fintiri for building the bridge in front of Jimeta modern market called FLY UNDER I equally appreciate President Mohammadu Buhari for building the bridges linking the Governor's village. Fly under for you and bridges that are badly needed for me.

"We do developmental projects, not political projects.

"Soon the Senate Committee on Special duties which I am a member will visit those projects on oversights."
