She is married and in her 50s. I am thinking i can say she is coming to visit me or maybe invite her to a graduation ceremony coming up later for another program.. pls i need helpful and honesy advice. |
bidosko:I think it depends on the kind of bill but you can use it for accomodation.. when filling form a give them your landlord or schoold details.. |
Hey guys, I am very happy to tell you all that I have received my visa. Thanks be to God and all of you here. You have all been a great help. Congrats! |
spikesC:Last year sha! Policies change o... Right now GTbank is giving whether or not you have mastercard, so im sure other banks will do same. Re the 6 months bank statement...i did 3 months but i was just being over zealous all they need is the required 28days. I.e. one month. Someone sent me a mail.. i replied o..check ur junk mail. |
Kennydude you will get as you desire by His grace. At Petite yep its quite fast im sure u will soom get urs. zaida i just replied to ur message. At Poshstore its for Masters my hubby didnt submit any docs.. i just made sure the required sum for them all was in my acct and inserted my marriage certificate and some family pics.. |
Zaida yes you can contact me.. I picked up my visa n my dependants today! I submitted on the 31st of July and I got a mail yesterday saying a decision had been made and i should wait for another mail to pick up. I decided not to wait for any other mail and just went today n they were all ready! Like everyone says this pbs is easy if you follow it properly. Thank God for His favour cus at the end of the day He is the one that grants us our hearts desires. |
Exeter ... But have sorted it now.. they accept drafts so my bank will do the form A thing and issue a draft in GBP. |
justwise:Lol! I feel u..I never trust oyibo mans just a few minutes walk...they may say its just 5 minutes and then when u get there you will so trek. Also i think they r used to trekking more than we are. i personally didnt have much look with gumtree n co maybe cus i was lookinh for something suitable for my family. Usqoh..if ur friend has confirmed for u u should be good. |
chenn:I think off campus is usually cheaper. I was able ro secure a place using online forums like righmove, zoopla and co..a friend helped me inspect before i made my deposit. I didnt want to wait till Sept cus places go fast. |
Sorry for all the posting but im wondering if one can get pta from different banks? |
Petitediva Thank God! |
Usqoh. Its date of visa.. Pls see what gtb sent.. does thd highlighted part mean u cant pay ur fees with ur card? I was going to do gorm A but for some absurd reason my school says they dont accept transfers from over seas accounts. Only card payments or western union. Petitediva the part about not going back to the UK must be new o.. cus all my frienda who gor Chevening have gone and one of them even lives there now.. but yep ur right about having to come back immediately. Glad you got something that didnt place any restrictions. Im pretty bummed i didnt get any scholarship or grants... But its all good..i thank God for provision. 8 |
Bamz Its really about knowing what you want. If your sure you want any of those courses then go ahead. Look at the course content/ modules for each of them and then decide. As for scholarships i have a few friends that got Chevening so try them but i am not sure that u need to apply for three diff courses to qualify, diff schools certainly but not sure bout diff courses. I applied myself and i believe i didnt get it cus i made a 2.2 ( chevening is for 2.1 but i applied and prayed hoping by some miracle i would get it) . My own advise that i sing like a song is get good grades in your undergrad cus it will affect ur life in more ways than u can imagine.. making. 2.2 was the major reason i wasnt able to get a scholarship ( milychocs i feel your pain) s well My sister got a scholarship ( not chevening) that not only paid her tuition but also gave her thousands of pounds for school expenses. The only scholarships i know that are available for people who make below 2.1 are ones like PTDF and co.. |
Kuka fill all they have asked for. They require this whether your spouse is travelling with u or not same with ur folks. These are standard visa questions @petitediva i agree with you on GTB they are being quite annoying these days...will see if i can use my Zenith account ( its a corporate acct hope thats allowed) |
Bitilola maybe you should email them? That sounds long for Abuja. Please who has the email address for UKVI. |
Lol! Dont be bothered by the fact that a lot of Nigerians arent going to Reading. Be confident of the course content and other factors. Personally, i dont want to be seeing Nigerians all over..but be reat assures Reading is good n by the time u get there you will find that they are enough Nigerians! |
do you know what is obtainable in Abuja? [/quote You can get in like two or three days in Abuja. I submitted my online form early hours of monday morning and wednesday was available for appointment |
Naijamark God bless you for responding. Thanks |
thababe:someone should answer pls ..also seems no one is going Exeter? |
Please someone should answer me. Pls i need to clarify. My school only put my pearson pte and certificate from my online mba. Do you guys think i should add my undergrad certificate and transcript since they are not in the CAS? Also in my application i wrote i was staying in a hotel. However with my friends help I've just secured a two bedroom flat and i have cancelled my hotel booking.. should i write a letter and attach to my documents showing I have an apartment. Mind you my children are aged 7 and 1 so i don't know if a two bed is what they would term adequate. I'm just worried about them checking and finding a cancelled booking. Pls i would really appreciate a response thanks for your help. |
Timm. You should call them as 5 weeks is really long. for my school i got mine 3days after i fufilled my conditions as i was chasing them with calls if i had left them it would probably have taken longer. As to the TB test i reckon you would need it. |
Pls i nees to clarify. My school only put my pearson pte and certificate from my online mba. Do you guys think i should add my undergrad certificate and transcript since they are not in the CAS? |
Many thanks Bititilola |

Hello! Is anyone here applying with dependants right away? Someone advised I apply for myself first but decided to just do it together. Justwise or anyone do you know if there any advantages if the main applicant applys first? Also my University seems to be quite unpopular amongst Nigerians..University of Exeter.. maybe cus it's in a small town. Also had admission to Birmingham but sadly had to turn it down as the course content ( modules ) were a complete deviation of what I wanted. |
You must travel within 30 days after you get your visa..Pweedy.n Petite.. annoying but it is what it is |
tofs2:I paid with my GTB.. make sure u use ur secure code or it won't work.. make sure u submit ur form by tomorrow if not u will have to pay the surcharge again as they are amending the form to include the health surcharge.. they will however refund you the excess if u pay twice.. if u know u won't submit ur form before the 4th then do pay the surcharge seperately..just wait n fill the visa form next week and pay with ur visa application |
teegirl2810:From what I know you need to open another form for her. They will both be under your applications teegirl2810: |
Thanks crazydove |
My school offered a university accommodation of £100 p/w; the accommodation is flat comprising of private study rooms with wc, the flat wc is shared; I think one ve to be paying for Electricity and Gas seperately from the rent. SO bros is it possible for som1 to get a cheap private accommodation around the city center that is better than what my uni is offering me
..also seems no one is going Exeter?
