Offpoint:all right sir |
DharmieDhrey:Well if you did further math in secondary school I would have advised you just brush things up. I had to do same last year. Because I left secondary almost a decade ago, I had to be searching for material to refresh my memory. Luckily my cousin in ND1 Auchi poly was around so I borrowed his math text. Imagine polynomials nor con dey my head again lol. But I was quick to grasp things as I have done them before. And funnily enough I saw polynomials among my 5 questions and it was a smooth ride. As for the departmental cutoff it's true uniben don't release theirs but we tend to know what cutoff they will be using each year. Once you meet the merit cutoff you are in. But if you don't and fall under catchment cutoff. You might get catchment but it's not 100% certain as I think most people jostle for the remaining spaces using whatever legal and illegal means available. |

DharmieDhrey:why you dey run from home. Lol. Why not Uniben? |

DharmieDhrey:Of course. The reason I said you should see it as average. That individual would have definitely made up a very few number of those that got in with less than 300. Don't get me wrong. Some individuals with 320 might not even get in this year at UI. But it's going to be rare given the advantage they already have over those below 300. If you stick with UI be ready for a much greater fight. Last year application portal for UI was leaked and the number of applicants with 300 plus were very many. I think over 1,000 and Mbbs got like 90% of the 300 scorers. This is a school that admits just over 3,000 persons in all. I'm not saying this to scare you. I just want you to weigh your options. No matter the score anybody has applying for mbbs I always warn against complacency. The fight is not over until you win (Putme). For the schools in the south, you would be eligible for merit, catchment and "connection". Though I will always tell you to aim for merit. You can't depend on your uncle that is a professor. Let your dependency be on God alone not man. I wish you all the best incoming doctor. PS: no matter the institution you choose never ever be complacent. Read as though it's a matter of life and death. All the best. |
DharmieDhrey:UI is great but you have to be very ready. 300 should be seen as average. Most UI aspirants tend to be wounded lions. That is scholars who were shortchanged in one school or the other. And those who are brilliant and are ready to give their all to emerge among the best. As for the other schools if you are from their catchment you would be having a greater chance there. |

Pocohontasboo:you can say that again |
Pocohontasboo:Evening boss. I'm actually not authorised to answer some of the questions but from the look of things. He had forgotten all about ABU since early this year. He wrote Utme and scored 314 and has been preparing hard for UI's putme when he got the sms from Jamb. It was just God from my own perspective oh. He has seen others in the same situations given admission for some top courses too. |
Aquilapriscilla:I really appreciate this. God bless you |
horpeyemmi66:thanks boss... He'll contact you now |
Aquilapriscilla:wow... How are the virtual labs boss |
Good evening docs in the house a friend of mine that applied last year to ABU, Zaria got a message this evening to check his caps to either reject or accept the admission given. He logged in and saw MBBS which he accepted immediately and went to check the school portal and the new change actually reflected. He was initially given Physiology which he neither accepted nor rejected before preparing for this years' Jamb. Now, my questions are: is there anyone experiencing same development ? And does anyone here knows any ABU, 100LVL MBBS students on this thread or elsewhere so my friend can reach him/her? Please help out in anyway you can docs... Thanks in advance |

Chemistry: Answered SOLUTION Dissolution of Na2CO3 in water is basic ... Na2CO3 + 2H2O -----> 2NaOH + H2CO3. Since the concentration is 3 and the base is a strong base, it dissociates completely in water. 2NaOH ----> 2Na+ + 2OH– The concentration of sodium ion and hydroxyl ions is the same. That is, [Na+] = [OH–]. n(Na+) = CV. n(Na+) = 3 × 0.07 = 0.21mol. n(Na+) = 2 × 0.21 = 0.42mol For the second compound, NaHCO3 + H2O ------> NaOH + H2CO3 NaOH ----> Na+ + OH–. n(Na+) = CV. n(Na+) = 1 × 0.03 = 0.03mol. Total volume = (70 + 30)cm³ = 100cm³ = 0.1dm³. Total number of moles = 0.42 + 0.03 = 0.45mol. Concentration = n/V. C = 0.45/0.1 C = 4.5moldm–³.

English: Answered Solution: To mean "concerning" we can only have three forms 1. Regarding √ 2. As regards √ (trick: note the "s" at the end of AS and REGARDS) 3. With regard to √ (trick: WITH has "t" and should be followed with "TO" having "t" too) Only one of the three will be among the options as any of them is correct.
