I read of apapa being part of the islands of lagos in a geography textbook in secondary school while i was in minna more than 20 years ago. They even gave an example that someone in apapa will say "i am going to lagos (lagos island) not knowing he is in lagos already"

u are going too far. Cotonou nko? 1st time i travelled from mile 2 to contonou, i wept for lagos. Same road. Mile 2 mad house down to okokomaiko, all madness and the road just entered Benin Republic and everything changed drastically. The road widened, seperate lane created for motorcycles. And i saw the beninours pouring coal tar on the other side of the road, reconstructing a good road. I was like wow!
What about security. The security men just blow whistle and the car or motorcycle will stop for searching. I was like are these people mad?
