I don't think this MMM I still reversible. If new participant s or mavrodians don't join the scheme as everybody is afraid now, then how will they be paid?

As things are now it is only when new participants start seeing payment proofs of old participants that they will want to invest in MMM. And the irony just as you pointed out is that it is only when a lot of new participants invest their money that old members will be paid.
