Mohammed Ciroma has expressed concern after he discovered that some residents of a village in Maiduguri are now making rings with empty bullet shells. His post below:

"We went to one settled village in #maiduguri today, to sensitize them on dangers of landmines and other unexploded devices.
To my surprise, when they saw the pictures of bullets and other dangerous objects, they said, "we use to make rings with the empty bullet shells. I was like really?, i then said let me see the rings that you guys claimed to have make from the bullets shells, three guys showed me the rings on their fingers."

Davido who announced last week on social media that he was about to the the proud owner of a private jet has just been called out by a a Nigerian media outlet

Davido had earlier revealed that the said jet would be arriving Nigeria in the coming weeks but it seems that may be far from the truth.

The Capital reports that Davido didn’t buy any private jet.

Our source has exclusively revealed that what Davido went on air to announce is actually “fractional ownership” in which his financial commitment in the arrangement is meagre while the major financiers have chosen to play down their involvement to give Davido conceded prominence.

According to our source, they broke the News claiming Davido owns the private jet just to make him very bankable in the showbiz industry and to use his influence in making the Biz a success.

American rapper Flo Rida is being accused of being a horrible father and abandoning his son who has a serious brain disease.

Flo Rida's baby mama Alexis Adams, 34, claims that the rapper has refused to visit his 19-month-old son Zohar Paxton. He pays for Zohar's medical insurance and court-mandated child support but that's where it ends. He has only met his sick son once and his attitude towards the child on that day was cold.

Alexis said: "Flo Rida has only seen his son once during the paternity test but kept his shades on and his back turned. They were in the same room. He didn't try to hug Zohar, nothing. It was very cold."

Alexis also said Flo Rida has strong negative feelings towards his son. She added: "He called my baby 'an evil f***ing child'. Those were his exact words."

Zohar has hydrocephalus, a neurological condition which causes an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid within cavities in the brain. Since birth, Zohar has had numerous doctors' appointments, tests, and ultrasounds for the incurable condition.

Last month, he underwent brain surgery, but there was no visit or phone call from his father, Alexis said.

She said: "Even after Zohar's surgery, he hasn't reached out to find out if he's okay. I find it strange because Flo Rida is always involved in charities pertaining to kids.

The attention of the Nigeria Police, Lagos State Command, has been drawn to the Punch Newspapers publication of Monday, May 14, 2018, captioned ” Hospital rejects victim over bullet injuries.”

The story goes that one Engr. Adebayo Akinwunmi, a senior engineer with an Information and Communications Technology company, was shot and wounded by armed robbers in his house at Ofada-Mokoloki, Ogun state and was brought to Reddington hospital, Ikeja for treatment only to be refused admission on the unlawful and inexcusable grounds that there was no police report.

The Command considers the action of the hospital as cruel; perhaps, an indication that the hospital management may be ignorant of the “Compulsory Treatment and Care of Victims Of Gunshot Act, 2017.

In the light of this development, the Command wishes to inform all medical practitioners in Lagos state , that the Act demands that every hospital in Nigeria whether public or private shall accept or receive for immediate and adequate treatment with or without police clearance any person with a gunshot wounds.

The Act, however requires the hospital treating such a patient to report the fact to the nearest police station within two (2) hours of commencement of treatment.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Imohimi Edgal, saddened by the allegation against the Reddington Hospital, has directed all Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers in Lagos State to henceforth arrest and diligently prosecute any medical practitioner who rejects a gunshot victim on the ground of no police report.

The CP wants doctors to note that the Act recommends a 5-year-jail term for any person, hospital or authority who stands by or omits to do his bit which results in the unnecessary death of any person with bullet wounds.

Registered Nigerian sex offender wanted in Texas for child pornography slips into Canada with flow of asylum seekers


A registered sex offender Nigerian man, Adesanya Prince, who pleaded guilty to child pornography charges in Texas, has entered Canada through a well-known illegal border crossing in Quebec.



The 49-year-old pleaded guilty to child pornography charges Feb. 23 in Houston. He was out on bond awaiting sentencing on May 10, but instead fled to Canada.

He was arrested by RCMP officers last month after crossing into Quebec from New York State. U.S. authorities believe he may have been trying to be deported home to avoid prison.



According to the Canadian government, 70 to 80 people per day are crossing at Roxham Road. In recent months, more than half of them have been from Nigeria.

Prince was detained by RCMP officers as soon as he set foot in Canada. His criminal history was found during a security screening.

Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale says Prince’s arrest shows the meticulous nature of the background security checks done by RCMP and CBSA on Roxham Road asylum seekers.

“Trying to hop across the border without following the rules is no free ticket to Canada,” Goodale said last Thursday.

“There are immediate consequences, and when it’s a consequence of that kind, you’re inadmissible. You’re out of here.”

According to court documents, Prince sent a co-worker three videos from his cellphone in January of last year. Two of the videos involved graphic acts of beastiality involving dogs. The third video showed the sexual assault of a child.

When he was questioned by Houston police officers, Prince admitted sending the videos. He said he’d been sent them from a friend, kept them on his phone for about a month, and then forwarded them to his co-worker.

Prince was arrested and charged with possession with intent to promote child pornography on May 15, 2017.

He pleaded guilty on Feb. 23 and was released pending sentencing. On that day, Prince also signed documents that put him on the sex offender registry. He wasn’t allowed to leave Houston while awaiting sentencing.

Prince is being held at an immigration detention facility in Laval, Que. U.S. officials have filed a request for a provisional arrest.

According to a U.S. Department of Justice spokesperson, lawyers in the U.S. are finalizing extradition paperwork. They hope to make the request official in the coming days.

“We will need to examine the legal channels that need to be followed,” says Goodale.
“The legal work is being done with respect to that question. But the point is (asylum seekers) should not expect to circumvent the consequences of their previous illegal behaviour. We would want to make sure that the appropriate consequences flow.”

A date for an extradition hearing has been set for May 18 in Montreal.
