I and my mom went out to New Benin yesterday, On getting to ring road I dropped her off because she wanted to see someone in aruosa street around sakponba road. Immediately she left me, a guy approached me (he was very dark in complexion with black lips and red eyes probably gotten as a result of too much smoking). He said that he is from auchi and he was looking for Dr ujah herbal Centre which he said delivers pregnant women. I have never heard of him so I told him I don’t know, as I was about to leave him, he now asked where we were. I told him ring road and all that, as we were talking, a guy walked past us(which I believe to be his accomplice). He now told me to help him ask the guy if he knows the place, which I did, the second said yes he knows the place and that it’s along mission road and he said the man was the one who treated his brother when he broke his leg. The second guy now asked the first one why he was looking for the Dr ujah herbal Centre. The first guy now said that he he works in where they sell wood in auchi and that a big wood fell on a python and Killed it which made the snake vomit a golden egg abi na diamond he talk, I can’t really remember. (He made an attempt to bring something out from his cloth which I didn’t see) And that a woman offered to buy it for 460k but he refused to sell, that’s why he is looking for the Dr ujah Herbal cantre. (Please note that while While all this was going on, I was in their middle and my mom tried calling me on my phone which I held on my right hand because she saw what was going on from afar. Can you believe that I didn’t hear my phone ring nor feel the vibration).. The second guy now smiled and said; “your luck don shine today o, oya thank this bros” which the first guy did, immediately he thanked me, I felt a sharp pain in my head like a migraine headache( I just can’t explain it) and I felt like I wanted to faint. Immediately I regained myself and realized that I was in the middle of two strangers, and I sensed that something was fishy. Nearly three months after Italians went to the polls, a new Prime Minister was sworn in on Friday afternoon. On Thursday evening Italy's President Sergio Mattarella had approved the government put forward by the right-wing League and anti-establishment Five Star Movement, which emerged as the two largest parties after an inconclusive election in March. The suspected fraudsters pictured above looked unperturbed as they smiled for the camera moments after they were arrested by officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, for offences bordering on obtaining money under false pretences to the tune of over N7, 000, 000.00( Seven Million Naira). The suspects were arrested at Elomaz Hotel, Maryland, Lagos, following a petition received by the Commission from a complainant. The complainant alleged that he was approached by one Dr. Lawal Ibrahim, who claimed to be the representative of an American company, Avis Beverages, in Africa for a purported agro-allied business. He also alleged that he was subsequently introduced to one Dr. Ryan Wood, the purported company's President, and Alhaji Akeem Olagbaju Jamiu, who also posed as the producer of the commodity. The complainant further alleged that he was asked to register with the commodity producer with N150, 000.00 and also make a refundable deposit of N350, 000.00 As part of the grand plan to validate their claim, the complainant alleged that he was asked to register a company and acquire necessary documentations, including certificate of ownership, tax certificate, BNI, NAFDAC, Narcotics Control Board and money laundering clearance certificates in furtherance of the business. President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday called for an end to abuse of children. In his Children’s Day message, Buhari urged security agencies to redouble their efforts in protecting children from danger and violence in line with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Child Rights Acts, 2003. Full text of his speech: “Today affords me another opportunity to re-affirm our Administration’s commitment to the protection of children, a day to reflect on our roles and responsibilities as Parents and Leaders towards our children, and also assessing how far we have fared in this regard. As you may recall, one of the cardinal objectives of this Administration is the provision of quality education to our children as a fundamental foundation of economic and social development. In this regard, I am pleased to inform you that this Administration has recorded measurable success in the home grown school feeding programme as it has continued to expand. Our children are our future, and the initiatives that come from them give confidence that our country has a bright future. I am always inspired and encouraged when I remember encounters I had with three of our young ones. When I was on medical vacation in 2017, three year old Maya Jammal recorded a prayer for my recovery, which went viral online. Also, 10 year old Aisha Aliyu Gebbi wrote a personal letter to me, describing herself as my “biggest fan”. Nicole Benson, then 12 years old, had contributed the sum of Five Thousand, Seven Hundred Naira and Eighty-Five kobo (N5,700.85) to my campaign in 2015. The money was all saved up from her lunch and pocket allowance. There are millions of such children nationwide. I am very impressed by what our children have been able to do, and what the future holds for them. That is one reason why we are committed to the school feeding programme, to prepare a future generation of physically and intellectually robust children. At the last count, over 8.2 million children in 24 states of the Federation are being given free meals daily. This happens in 45,000 schools round the country. I therefore call on all stakeholders to support this programme to ensure that all the 36 States of the Federation and FCT are covered. This will promote substantially higher enrolment levels in our schools. Since its inception in May, 2015, this Administration has also focused attention on addressing issues of child protection, participation and survival. In 2015, the campaign to end violence against children was launched which was commemorated in 2016. In November 2016, the Campaign to End Child Marriage was also launched to ensure that as many children as possible are able to fully enjoy their childhood and be protected from all the challenges associated with this phenomenon. These campaigns have been reinforced with sensitization campaigns in some States of the Federation. The theme for this year’s celebration “Creating Safe Spaces for Children: Our Collective Responsibility” is an opportunity to promote the safety and security of our children. As a responsible Government, we are committed to ensuring that children are protected from violence and exploitation against them, and, that their environments are safe enough for them to pursue their educational attainments, discover their full potentials to grow into responsible citizens. This Administration has made giant strides in the protection of the Rights of the Nigerian Child and as a result of such efforts, Nigeria has been declared a Pathfinding Country on Ending Violence Against Children. This I believe is a collective achievement and I urge us to continue to build on the present momentum to achieve the targets of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In our efforts to protect our children from abuse, exploitation and trafficking as well as provide safe, non-violent inclusive and effective learning environment in our schools, this Administration has directed the management of all Federal Government Colleges and advised all state owned schools across the Country to provide adequate measures of safety and security of their students. I again call on all schools management committees at all levels of public and private institutions to take adequate security measures and put in place mechanisms for safety of children. May I therefore call on the Families, Security Agencies, Traditional Rulers, Religious Leaders, Civil Society Organizations, Human Rights Activists, and the Society at large to rise up and take urgent and decisive actions to stem the unacceptable rising cases of violence against our children. We must ensure safety of our children in homes, schools, markets, worship centres, on the streets and everywhere at all times. Furthermore let me use this medium to appeal to parents not to relent in their efforts to send their wards to school, especially the girl child as her education reduces infant and maternal mortality and prevents early and child marriages. It also increases literacy and reduces poverty. The saying that to educate a woman is to educate the nation is very apt in this regard.” Link- https://nairatrend.com.ng/happy-childrens-day-read-full-text-of-president-buharis-message/ Share #Nairatrend Happy children's day

Fulham sealed promotion to the Premier League with a 1-0 win over Aston Villa in Saturday’s Championship play-off final. Tom Cairney’s first-half goal was enough to send Slavisa Jokanovic’s side back into the top flight, four years on from their relegation, despite Denis Odoi being sent off with 20 minutes remaining. Just five points separated these teams in the 2017-18 table and there was little to split them during a fiercely competitive clash at Wembley, in which in-form Jack Grealish and Ryan Fredericks were both fortunate to escape red cards. Cairney’s strike deservedly gave Fulham the lead, the midfielder combining with rising star Ryan Sessegnon before finishing with aplomb, and Aleksandar Mitrovic could have doubled the advantage with chances either side of half-time. Villa improved after the break and were unsurprisingly dominant after Odoi’s dismissal for a second yellow card, but Steve Bruce’s side created little to worry Marcus Bettinelli in the Fulham goal despite their man advantage. Fulham can now prepare for a return to the riches of the Premier League, along with Wolves and Cardiff City, while Villa must prepare for a third-straight season in the second tier.
