peeps4u: You tried so hard to sound intelligent. Police shouldn't arrest even if they feel your protest will turn violent. That is simply assumption. The duty of the police is to provide security during protests, yes, police must ensure protesters are protected.
PROTEST ISNT A CRIME, IT IS YOUR RIGHT.
YOU MAY NOT KNOW BECAUSE THIS IS NIGERIA WHERE EVERYTHING IS DONE LIKE IN JUNGLE You also tried to sound intelligent but exposed your ignorance in the process. Police can make arrests if they sense that a protest has the potential to go overboard, it happens everywhere in the world. Over 200 protesters were arrested in Paris during the anti-Macron protest. Read, if you can. Travel, if you can afford it. |

ogatboy: Where in the world do they arrest people for protesting. Reason with your head. Even in France having voilent protest, no one is arrested, the police job is to maintain law and order. Stop spewing trash. This is democracy. If you cannot take the heat of public office, get out Don't be an ignorant twit! Have you ever been to France? It is senselessly overzealous people like you who have never crossed the borders of Nigeria, that are quick to make comparisons. Do you know that over 200 protesters were arrested in France? Just shut your ignorant mouth up! Travel to Togo and stop thinking the world revolves around your Bariga enclave! |

Remily: Inflammatory words you say? Let me assume you mean defamatory words... But even at that, you should know the fundamental human rights of freedom of speech and information are enshrined in our constitution. Only in Africa would you see things of this nature happen and this is 21st century for crying out loud. A country like Nigeria should have known better. Did you read the charge sheet of the allegation levied against them? It's a shame! I meant INFLAMMATORY--- 2. (especially of speech or writing) arousing or intended to arouse angry or violent feelings. "inflammatory remarks" synonyms: provocative, provoking, inflaming, incendiary, inciting, agitating, stirring, rousing, instigative, fomenting; More |

Pidginwhisper: That confidence go end tmorow. I watched their game against the Malian girls. They Malian were just unlucky and could've won the match easily but they lack the experience needed to win the match. The odd was again them. Van Wyk should've been sent off for second bookable offence when she made a needless tackle on Basirra for the 2nd tym See ehn, I like your patriotism, but even you would agree with me that this is the worst Falcons team EVER! There are no guarantees with this team, I hope they win on Saturday, as a Nigerian, it would do my esteem a whole world of good. It is just a hope though! |

We only heard that Deji was arrested, we weren't told the circumstances surrounding his arrest. Should any idiot who calls himself an activist be allowed to disturb public peace just because he/she can? What if he used inflammatory words during his purported protest? What if he was arrested because the police felt his protest could degenerate into public disturbance? I know the Nigerian Police gets a lot of sticks, but not everyone who works with (in) the police is an idiot. You have to read Deji's comments on twitter to see that the guy is just an overgrown fuuuuk boy with no tact whatsoever. If he is granted bail, fine. If he is found to have violated any rules, jail the motherfvvvvker! |

Pidginwhisper: I laugh each time i come across ppl saying South Africa has the best team in the tournament. Cameroon has the best team and would've beaten Bayana Bayana if were in same group. The Ikwikwi looking atutupoyoyo NFF employed as coach makes them look really good. If the girls play their game tmorow ,that South Africa go chop 5 Fair point, but they have grown in confidence, and our girls have not impressed all through the tournament. |

South Africa has the best team in this tournament, both in players quality and technical input. Nigeria will win on Saturday, just by the edge that experience provides, and nothing more. If life was fair, it should be a Cameroun vs South Africa final, they are the tournament's best teams. |

Dem just dey make this old man feel relevant. He is one of the architects of our current quagmire, yet we rush him like shawarma. One minute, "Atiku is a thief", next minute, "Atiku is our next President." He should borrow a leaf from Gowon and Abdulsalami, two men who have more moral currencies than him, but who have decided to play father roles for the nation. |
