Success1020: I know you are Yoruba by the way you reason and deep your mind you know they are purposely delaying this because it's SE; Igbos. You know this which is why you want the governors to take over. Did 5 SW governors come together to complete Lagos Ports and the new construction of two points in SW now? NO. Reason for once like a human being and remove your hate and bigotry. You think if SE wanted to build their ports by themselves, you think they can't? Federal government will not allow them. Just like Fashola will not allow Abia state and Geometric Company to provide it's own electricity for Abians. Just like the Federal government will not allow SE governors to repair most of the federal roads in SE. You are right, I am proudly and unapologetically Yoruba. They are delaying it because it's Igbo? You see una life? I thought GEJ was your adopted son, why didn't he get it up and running? Ndi nzuzu! Anu mpama. |

Anambralstson: Dumbo what do you know Lekki Port, Ignorant minds will come online and be typing rubbish, Otondo who told you FG is not involve in construction of Lekki Port So, Lagos state is not involved? Do you know it is located within the Lagos FTZ? Who drew up the plan? It's funny how ignorant people like you call others ignorant. The southeast enjoys blaming others and the stupid attention that they get from victimhood. If the governors want that Port up and running in the next 24 months, they can, but they won't. They will blame Buhari and Lagos as usual. |

042mafia: Sorry sir,it doesn't work that way. Port development belongs to the legislative exclusive list. Meaning,it's only the has the exclusive constitutional right to develop port in Nigeria. If otherwise, states like Akwa Ibom,Rivers,Delta and B ayelsa could have developed their ports long before now.. Lagos state has no right and cannot develop any port.Check your facts again You are the one who needs to check your facts. Port construction is ongoing at Lekki. You can argue all you want. |

The 5 Southeast governors need to come together and complete this port for Pete's sake and stop blaming everyone else for their inertia.
Lagos (with the support of private investors) is building a port at Lekki. When completed, it'll be the largest and most automated in sub-Saharan Africa. Don't blame Lagos and the FG when all port activities are directed to Lekki Port in a few years. |

kjhova: It is all about your politicians and their greed as they scheme for power. This is actually understandable for politicians and is in fact expected. However, to see the larger population of Nigerians, ignore their own well being and self interest only to be chasing after Yoruba presidency, Igbo presidency, Northern agenda etc is the real story.
How do people not see that they have ZERO gain in "whoever presidency"? Visit a newspaper stand, beer parlour, market stall or the inside of a "danfo", hardly do you ever hear discussions on food self sufficiency, power grid, national healthcare, social safety, education funding etc...nope, all you hear about is how many Yoruba's are in Super Eagles...Igbo must be president in 2023...Fulani must be allowed to graze...pretty mundane and inane issues if you ask me.
Let's take a peep at our near past. OBJ, indigene of Owu and resident of Ota both in Ogun State, was president for 8 years. Within that period, Owu and Ota degenerated into ethnic clashes that led to the death of many over OBJ's attempt to divert certain wards/towns under Ota to Owu. In that period, not one single road was constructed in Owu. The repair of the Ikeja to Ota end of the Lagos-Abeokuta Express Way was started and as I type, 17 years later, yet to be completed. In short, OBJ's administration did more damage to both Owu and Ota. What was the point of the our son must be president?
If our democracy is real, how can there be an "Igbo" presidency? The very thought of such a thing as "Yoruba presidency" is repulsive if all we needed to have was a Nigerian who is fit for office, presented himself for such and received the majority votes as well as met required conditions to be the president of the Federal Republic.
We all need to wake up and not let the politicians ride us like mulls towards the next general election. Very well said! God bless you. |

This is how our country daily rots. We have several unfinished projects, but we are already fixated on 2023. Sadly, the media has become a tool in the hands of mischievous enemies of the state.
2023 is three years away, we can do a lot before then. Focus on all rail projects - Lagos-Ibadan-Kano, Lagos-Calabar, PH-Maiduguri etc. Complete the 2nd Niger Bridge. Complete Siemens Power Project. Fuccking move our people out of poverty!
