Politics*breaking Reason Why Election Was Postponed!!!!* by thebiggestgists(op): 10:38am On Feb 16, 2019
*INEC 'OSUN TEMPLATE ' BUSTED BY THE US*

Nigerians should be grateful to the United States for saving our democracy today.

This is why the party in power got frustrated about the international communities interference at one point and threatened “body bags” because they know, “America would know”.

We are a sovereign state, agreed, but there was nothing Nigerians would have done tonight to prevent Mohammadu Buhari from rigging this election if not for the intervention of the US.

The Buhari government in collaboration with INEC had an agenda on how to rig the election in favor of Buhari.

This was what they were planning to execute tonight with the postponement drama when the United States govt got a wind of it and called the INEC Chairman not to dare!

*Their Plan...*

The strategy was to allow elections hold in 26 states and postpone it in 10 states. For the ten states, they had two plans; late arrival of election materials and security crisis.

*The* idea was to deliberately allow materials arrive late as we are already witnessing in some states and INEC would have no option but to postpone elections in those states.

*For instance*, the aircraft that was supposed to deliver materials to Enugu was told it can't land because of bad weather conditions and it had to land in Port Harcourt.

Right before us, elections in Enugu would have been postponed.

The crisis template was executed in Kaduna today.

The news of Kaduna State killings of 66 people today was part of the plan to create an atmosphere of catastrophic so that INEC would postpone the election in Kaduna State citing security challenges.

The news of the killings was fabricated and sponsored by the 3 inches 'body bag' Governor of that state.

For the 26 states that election would have held, the plan was to watch out for the outcome.

If it favours Atiku, whatever the margin is, they would deploy heavy security agents to ensure they get enough votes to cover up the margin in the 10 states that elections were to be postponed as they did in Osun state.

With this plan, Buhari would be elected back as president… but the US said, NO!! Elections across the 36 states must hold simultaneously, they insist.

PoliticsFg’s New Maintenance Policy Will Drive Smes – Fashola by thebiggestgists(op): 1:04am On Feb 01, 2019
The Federal Government has said that the implementation of its new National Public Buildings Maintenance Policy will empower Nigerians, especially artisans and small and medium enterprises.

The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, said this while briefing the newsmen on the National Infrastructure Maintenance Framework for Public Buildings on Thursday in Abuja.

The News Agency of Nigeria reported that the National Public Buildings Maintenance Policy sought to provide guiding principles for the maintenance and repairs of public buildings nationwide

It is also charged with the responsibility of repairing such related assets nationwide, in compliance with extant regulations.

Fashola said that the Federal Executive Council on January 9 approved the National Maintenance Framework for Public Buildings.

He said the Council was persuaded to accept that while skill training and vocational centres existed nationwide for the training of Artisans, there was a lack of national policy for the practice of the vocations to be economically worthwhile on a sustainable basis.

Fashola said that under the implementation of the policy, site assessment and valuation of the affected buildings would be conducted; measurement and data would also be collated.

This, he said, on its own required the employment of people to carry out the process and, therefore, multiple jobs would be created from the very first step for Nigerians, especially artisans.

He said, “Available data showed that many people trained in these vocations often resort to earning a living by resorting to vocations in which they do not have training such as riding motorcycles and tricycles.

“Therefore, the Federal Government’s decision on maintenance is an economic one, to empower Nigerians at the base of the economic pyramid who are artisans, owners of small businesses, and SMEs who are involved in manufacturing building materials.”

He explained that the maintenance framework on public buildings firstly would apply to public buildings but would ultimately extend to other public assets like roads, bridges, rail, and power installations, among others.

PoliticsCCT To Resume Onnoghen’s Trial February 4 by thebiggestgists(op): 12:41am On Feb 01, 2019
The Code of Conduct Tribunal has fixed February 4 for the resumption of hearing in the charges filed against the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen.

The CCT’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Ibraheem Al-Hassan, disclosed this in a press release on Thursday.

Onnoghen is facing six counts of false asset declaration filed against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau.

The tribunal had earlier adjourned sitting in the matter following an interim order of the Court of Appeal which ordered it to stay proceedings.

By the Court of Appeal on Wednesday reversed the interim order by refusing to grant the interlocutory injunction sought be Onnoghen.

The court said section 306 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act had barred the court from stopping a criminal matter.

The release said the tribunal fixed the new date after receiving a letter from the CCB.

“The decision was reached today(Wednesday) sequel to a correspondence from the Code of Conduct Bureau, applying for the resumption of trial of the case captioned ‘Application for resumption of trial of the case of FRN Vs. Hon. Justice Onnoghen Nkanu Walter Samuel case No: CCT/ABJ/01/19, addressed to Hon. Chairman Code of Conduct Tribunal, dated 30th January, 2019, jointly signed by Musa Ibrahim Usman (Esq) and Fatima Danjuma Ali (Esq).’

“The above subject refers. This case came up for hearing of preliminary objection to the jurisdiction of the Tribunal on the 28th of January, 2019 but the Tribunal could not proceed due to the pendency of the case at the Court of Appeal.

“However, in the wake of this afternoon, 30th January, 2019 the Court of Appeal has thrown out the appeal.

“Consequently on the above, we urge the Honourable Tribunal to give us a date for resumption of the trial subject to the convenience of the Tribunal, Most obliged my Lord.”

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress has said the refusal of the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, to stop Onnoghen”s trial has vindicated President Muhammadu Buhari.

The President had suspended Onnoghen last Friday and sworn in Tanko Muhammad in acting capacity based on an ex parte order of the CCT.

The action drew criticisms from opposition political parties and lawyers who felt the independence of the judiciary was being eroded.

The appellate court while ruling on Onnoghen’s application for a stay of proceedings had said the charges were criminal in nature and could not be stopped.

In a statement on Thursday, the APC National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, said the ruling had vindicated the President.

The statement said, “The APC had in the wake of the suspension insisted that the rule of law be upheld and allowed to thrive while Justice Onnoghen submitted himself to the law.

“The Appeal Court’s ruling has further advertised the credentials of President Buhari as an unrepentant believer in the rule of law, due process and justice. Contrary to claims by the opposition and a section of the Nigerian Bar Association that the suspended CJN is a victim of persecution and that the law is not being followed in his arraignment, the Appeal Court has now confirmed that Onnoghen’s trial at the CCT is indeed within the confines of the law.

“His suspension is therefore not prejudiced as being painted in some quarters since it was based on an order lawfully issued by the CCT.

“The suspended CJN had adjudicated on many cases where he ruled that only the CCT is exclusively empowered to entertain cases on asset declaration. It may be tempting for a weak and self-serving leader to ignore these legal precedents, but not President Buhari. He is ever truthful, fearless, fair and just and a stickler for rules.”

PoliticsOsun PDP Senatorial Candidate Faces Disqualification Suit by thebiggestgists(op): 3:20am On Jan 24, 2019
A suit seeking the disqualification of the Peoples Democratic Party senatorial candidate for the Osun Central Senatorial District has been filed before the Federal High Court in Osogbo.

The plaintiff in the suit, Ibraheem Khalid of Ward 7, Olorunda Local Government Area of Osun State, alleged that the PDP senatorial candidate, Ganiyu Olaoluwa, lacked the requisite academic qualification to stand for election.

Khalid, in the suit, claimed that Olaoluwa did not attend Ikosi High School, Lagos State between 1982-1988, contrary to the information he allegedly supplied to the Independent National Electoral Commission.

“From the records available in the school, the individual in question, Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa, was not sighted in the school’s register, most especially between the years 1982 and 1988, as claimed by him,” Khalid averred in the affidavit supporting his suit.

The defendants in the suit are Olaoluwa and INEC.

The plaintiff is praying for a court order, “disqualifying the 1st defendant from contesting the election as a candidate to the Senate for Osun Central Senatorial District scheduled to hold on February 16, 2019.”

The court has yet to fix a date to hear the suit.

PoliticsMiyetti Allah Attacks Atiku For Saying Buhari Not A Full-blooded Fulani by thebiggestgists(op): 2:36am On Jan 23, 2019
The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani has rebuffed an accusation by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, that President Muhammadu Buhari is not a “full-blooded Fulani man because he cannot speak Fulfulde.”

Atiku, who made the claim during a campaign rally in Jigawa State, described Buhari as a fake Fulani man, saying, “a real Fulani man would not drag his followers into extreme poverty like what is happening under the All Progressives Congress administration.”

However, the National Secretary, Miyetti Allah, Mr Saleh Alhassan, said Buhari’s inability to speak Fulfulde did not make him any less of a Fulani man.

Alhassan said, “The truth of the matter is that, in several places in Adamawa State, they speak Fulfulde. The fact that Atiku speaks Fulfulde doesn’t make him a Fulani man.

“If you look at Atiku physically, he doesn’t carry the biological features of a Fulani man. You look at Atiku and you see the Bantu tribe. He doesn’t belong to the Sudanic tribe.

“Also, we don’t know Atiku’s uncle and all Fulani know their uncles. Have you ever seen Atiku’s uncle? His claim to Fulani background is shrouded in uncertainty because nobody knows his uncles. Buhari’s ‘Fulaniness’ is not in doubt. His father was an Ardo, a Fulani leader. So, I think it is not an issue.”

The Fulani leader stated that his community had rejected Atiku in the elections because he “doesn’t share in our pains and problems.”

He stated, “Is Atiku not responsible for the crisis on the Mambilla Plateau? They went there, took over the land from the indigenous people and created mega farms and ranches, plunging them (Fulani) into poverty.

“If there is anybody that has created poverty, it is Atiku and the PDP. Over the 16 years they ruled this country, they virtually raped the country in a very shameful manner. It will be a disaster for Nigeria if Atiku becomes President and I know God will not allow it because he doesn’t mean well for the poor people in this country.

“He is a very wicked and vicious capitalist without a conscience, whose morality is in question. He will not only sell this country, he will destroy the very fabric that keeps us together. His aim is to create a paradise of thieves and moral perverts in Nigeria.”

PoliticsObasanjo Lacks Dignity –sagay by thebiggestgists(op): 1:48am On Jan 23, 2019
The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption, Prof Itse Sagay (SAN), has criticised former President Olusegun Obasanjo for attacking President Muhammadu Buhari.

Sagay, in a seven-page response titled ‘Obasanjo and the Power Withdrawal Syndrome,’ on Tuesday slammed Obasanjo’s “boisterous, aggressive and hectoring attitude towards succeeding presidents”.

He said with Obasanjo’s “meddlesomeness, rude and uncouth attitude towards later heads of state,” it was clear that he was addicted to “a substance called power”.

Sagay added, “The status of an ex-president is one of quiet dignity, respect, discretion, decorum, discipline and restraint. Obasanjo does not have a single one of these qualities. We have had a number of former heads of state, namely, (Yakubu) Gowon, (Shehu) Shagari, (Ibrahim) Babangida, Abdulsalami Abubakar and (Goodluck) Jonathan.

“These former heads of state have exercised discretion, restraint and self-discipline in relation to their successors, but not Obasanjo. Gowon was Obasanjo’s boss from 1966 to 1975 (nine years). Not once did Gowon utter a public criticism of Obasanjo throughout his tenure from 1976 to 1979 and 1999 to 2007.

“The same thing applies to Abdulsalami Abubakar, who handed over power to Obasanjo in 1999. Not a single word of public excoriation against Obasanjo was uttered by Abdulsalami Abubakar throughout Obasanjo’s eight years in power. Abubakar demonstrated only decorum and self-respect.”

PoliticsSanwo-olu Gets Trade Commitment From Swiss Investors by thebiggestgists(op): 1:10am On Jan 23, 2019
The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has highlighted the investment opportunities in Lagos State at a session with selected Swiss investors in Geneva, Switzerland.

Sanwo-Olu met with the investors on the sidelines of the 2019 World Economic Forum which commenced in Davos on Tuesday.

The business interaction triggered commitments of $5bn investment in capital projects in Lagos, a statement by the media office of the APC governorship candidate stated on Tuesday.

It noted that the investors, comprising commodity traders, equity managers, investment bankers, information technology experts, infrastructure builders, international donors, energy and power companies and others, agreed that Lagos was a fertile ground for investment.

They, however, expressed concern about political risk in the state.

Sanwo-Olu was said to have assured the investors that Nigeria was safe for investment, and Lagos State, as the economic nerve centre of the country, presented the best environment for global investments.

“There has been progressive leadership and stability in the governance of Lagos State since 1999. The state has been under the administration of a party, my party, which is the All Progressives Congress, for more than 16 years. The state has remained a reference point for infrastructural development and economic prosperity in Nigeria and West Africa.

“On investors’ protection, I think that should be the least of your worries. Lagos has a comprehensive regulation that protects and shields investors. The scope of the regulation covers disputes resolution and commitment to the ease of doing business,” he said in the statement.

The Country Portfolio Manager, High Impact Africa 1, Grant Management Division, Global Fund, Ibrahim Faria, reportedly pledged to support the health system in Lagos State if Sanwo-Olu won the election.

He said, “We have particular interest to support the health system in Lagos. Global Fund is an important partner of the Nigerian government through funding support for HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases.”

PoliticsAPC Leaders Are Liars, Says Atiku by thebiggestgists(op): 12:56am On Jan 22, 2019
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, on Monday said he would not disappoint Nigerians if he was elected president.

The former Vice-President, who spoke during a PDP presidential campaign rally in Dutse, Jigawa State, said, “I will not disappoint you all. You should know that the APC are liars, they came to lie to us and deceived us.

“When we gave them our mandate, when they became President they forget about all what they promised us.

“Another important thing is that you should all come out and vote, don’t just vote but ensure that your vote count.”

The PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus, Prince Uche Secondus, said Atiku would unite the country.

Secondus said, “Atiku remains the man that will defeat the APC, the man they are afraid of.

“The man who just came from America, he has gone and spoken to the civilised world. He has addressed the international community that as soon as he is sworn in businesses will begin to grow.”

A former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, said, “Others are para-civilians and they don’t understand compassion, love and peace is alien to them. So the family of the PDP all over Nigeria are counting on Atiku Abubakar. We trust you, because we know you can do it.

“Failure is not part of our culture, failure is the culture of the APC.”

AgricultureOsun To Establish 12 New Farm Settlements by thebiggestgists(op): 1:18am On Jan 20, 2019
The Osun State Government has said it will establish 12 new farm settlements across the state.

The state government said the vision behind the establishment of the farm settlements underscored the high priority the Governor Gboyega Oyetola-led government placed on agriculture in a bid to make farming more financially rewarding to farmers.

The Supervisor, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Dr Charles Akinola, while addressing stakeholders, explained that the present administration planned to establish 12 additional farm settlements to increase food production in the state.

He said this would improve the economic status of farmers and the people of the state.

According to a statement by the Information Officer, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Toyin Adeoye, on Friday, Akinola also emphasised the need for farmers in the state to cooperate with the government in its drive to assist them to boost their business.

He said the report of each farm settlement and the challenges encountered should always be submitted to the government through the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.

Akinola stated that the reports would make it easier for the government to address issues relating to the settlements with the urgency they deserved.

The President, Conference of Farmers Settlers Association, Chief Razak Adedapo, pledged the association’s readiness to support the government and its new policies on agriculture.

To further drive his point home, Soulja posted a video on Instagram following the interview, featuring a comparison of his 2007 song "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" to Drake's 2010 song, "Miss Me." While the introductory bars on the latter do reference a few bars Soulja used on his breakout hit, it's hardly a career-defining moment on the back of another artist.
