LETTER TO KUNLE, A POLITICAL THUG

February 22, 2019 | Spotlight

Bullet and Ballot ? A letter to Kunle, a friend and Political thug.

Dear Kunle,

"It's few hours to the elections, Cappo must have called, the guns should have arrived, and it's time to perfect your plans. But before you leave Bisola and the kids to honour this hideous call, Please read this piece óré.

Kunle, at least 3000 Nigerians won't be voting on Saturday ;they are dead. They were the political thugs who were victims of post-election violence in the 2011 General elections. Some 1,150 are behind bars and while 800 are awaiting trials, 350 are already serving long jail terms.

Analysts said the 2011 elections were bloody, they blamed it on the antecedence before the elections, and the fact that the main candidates were of opposite religions.

Thankfully, Saturday's election would be contested by two Fulani men, both Muslims and Hausas. But if the precedence to the elections on Saturday is anything to go by, the casualty figures should rise even higher.

Politicians are at war. From intra-party wars, inter party defections to high profile assassinations, the handwriting is already on the wall.

If not for anything, elections across the country will be feisty. In Imo, Rochas is having none of Oshiomole's games. In the Southwest, Amosun, Ogun state governor, senatorial candidate and APC faithful doesn't want APC's gubernatorial candidate Dapo Abiodun anywhere near the government house in Abeokuta. In Lagos, party campaigns have been marred by violence. The crises in the North has risen to a new high, El-Rufai has promised bodybags and the last hasn't been heard of the crises in Benue.

To prepare you guys for this, I heard Cappo has promised ten thousand Naira and a new gun, and you have all sworn to make "all right". N10,000 will buy ; 4 dozens of Cigarette, few bottles of stout and What ? Nothing. Unfortunately, this is how much you value your life.

You are about to leave Bisola and the kids on a journey you might never return from, leaving Bisola a potential young widow and your 4 year old twins fatherless for life. This sacrifice, you are taking to fight for people whose sons and daughters are miles away in Europe, safe and secured.

Have they promised you houses, cars or lands if they win ?? Yes is probably the answer, but will they fufil these promises ?? The answer is NO. And even if they will, you might not live to receive these gifts. It's typical of the Nigerian politician to deceive gullible youths with their Machivellian tactics. They have little or no moral compunctions and take obscene pleasure in telling listless lies, just like the ones you might have been told.

Kunle, no Nigerian politician is worth dying for, not one! They are all a pack of narcissistic, irredemably corrupt, moneygrabbing, selfish and self-centered individuals who serve the self rather than the state.

Do not allow these politicians use you as mischief makers, ballot snatchers, or hired assassins to kill innocent souls.

It is not worth it, while your kids barely have chairs in their public schools due to the misgivings of these politicians. Their own children attend the choicest schools abroad.

You can only help this country, your kids and your wife by dropping the "bullet agenda", and taking to the streets to vote out this unscrupulous elements in our democracy tomorrow.

Do it right friend. Ciao!....

thebrainyfox:
2019 JAMB: HOW TO SCORE 280+

PHILOMATH Sunday, February 10, 2019

What are the advantages of scoring 280+ in the 2019 JAMB?, you think it is not easy?, it is quite easy!

If you score 280+, it will give you upper hand over those that scored low JAMB score and it could land you in your dream course.

Now, let's dive into business, how can you score 280+ in the jamb?, applying this simple hints will make it possible with no stress.

1. Slap use of English on the face
Yes, you heard me right, the most easy subject to pass is use of English because it is simple and the most tricky subject to fail is use of English because it is very tricky, some students believe that English is really simple and easy to pass "since I can speak correct English, I shouldn't have any problem with English na, I don't have to read it self" please and please, if you have this mentality, drop it! What I learn from my senior reporter at Team Plato Reports, Taiwo Olalere Premier is that "the correctness of a sentence can never be determined from the way it sounds while pronouncing it, most of the correct English are absurd to hearing"

Let's take a look at this question
I want to _______ my hair (a) barb (b) cut (c) barber (d) barbing

If a question like this is presented to us, definitely our answer will be option A, barb, yes na! It sounds okay to us, I want to barb my hair, if someone choose barber, you will laugh at the person because it sounds absurd to tell a barber that you want to barber your hair, lol. BARBER is actually the correct answer, you can check your dictionary. You may speak English very well, but that doesn't make you a good English students, drop the I too know and get one of Dele Ashade books (invisible teacher, A-Z in English, A1 in English etc), study it carefully and I promise you that you will definitely score 85+ in jamb use of English.

2. Know your weak point
Are you weak in one subject?, please just try and know the topics/subjects you're weak in, talk to someone that know it more than you and let the person guide you, remember nobody is an encyclopedia of knowledge, so always be humble to learn and never be shy too.

3. Know your strong point and exploit it
My best subject is mathematics, so I know mathematics to be my strong point, I read all I could read in mathematics and answered all questions neatly in jamb, I was expecting 100 but scored 85 instead. Well that is still manageable, the point is, know what you are good at, let your best subject......

Nice write up with valid points. But bro, 4 years in school is no short cut, plus often time, you need to work, gain experience on how a business is managed, raise capital before start up. We are in a mess in this Nation ,hence discrediting the need for certificates... In a normal society, after school,u have no business searching endlessly for jobs. However, i agree with ur points and am a die hard advocate of skills aquization. In Nigeria of today, everyone needs a skill as a plan B.
You're right bro!, but concerning the business, there are lots of businesses that don't require money before starting.
Yes it is true that 4years is not a shortcut, just let try and be encouraging youths to go into enterpreneurship, your certificate is not alone in this Nigeria.

UNEMPLOYMENT IN NIGERIA: SUGGESTED SOLUTIONS

PHILOMATH February 14, 2019 General Hub

It is a general believe that we all go to school in order to graduate with good grades and secure good jobs, but the rate of unemployment in Nigeria today is very alarming, thousands of youths are graduating every year with very low probability of getting a good job, that is why our graduates end up as school teachers, gardeners, gatemen some even opt in for programs like Npower, where they were paid #30,000 per month, imagine? After all the years spent in college.

There is a solution to this unemployment, a better solution that could fetch you moree money as a graduate, what is the solution?..... It is ENTERPRENUERSHIP

What is entrepreneurship?: from my dictionary, I can call enterprenurship the act of working independently without relenting on anyone for salaries, being an entrepreneur automatically makes you your own boss, a job creator and you will enjoy lots of freedom. You don't really need to have lots of money before going into entrepreneurship, some don't even required any money, but your dedication.

Wait! Let me ask you a question, please aside your school certificate, what can you offer?, without your school certificate, is your school life a waste?, it is very normal for us to go to school, get good grades etc, but if you have nothing to offer apart from your certificate, then you are one of Nigeria problems.

Don't be a LIABILITY, why must you be a liability to Nigeria?, why must you depend on federal government for job?, why don't you use your God given talents to create job for yourself and other graduates, the world is advancing, and we are in computer age, the best place to technologically develop yourself is colleges, you don't need any investment, there are lots of digital skills you can learn as a students, they won't exhaust your time and you can earn lots of money from doing them.

Blogging, Social Media Marketting, Regit, Digital Marketing, Content Marketing, Affiliates Marketing, Information Marketing, Logo Designing/Branding, Website Designing, SEO, Freelancing, Web Development, App Development, Java, Graphic designing, Importation, Photography, Photo and Video Editing, YouTube Video Making/Editing, Coaching/Consultancy, Podcasting etc..... All these are great digital skills that you need to know at least two before leaving the college, it is absurd, yes I repeat ABSURD! to leave the college with the aim of depending on certificates.

Assuming you finished college and you were able to secure a good Job, you will be working for some certain set of people and the owner of the company will be earning more than ten times of what you are receiving as salary, you're using your creativity and talent as his/her own source of income, why don't you think on your own and be creative? I am not saying you shouldn't work, but never have it in mind to settle for the job of yours that is fetching you below #100,000 every month, even if it is above #100,000 there is need for you not to settle for less but expand your business, never relent on salaries, be creative and market the creativity to people, let people work for you.

Most of the billionaires don't depend on their certificates, Bill Gate is a programmer, Aliko Dangote is a businessman, Linda Ikeji is a blogger, Davido is a musician, Mark Zuckerbag also designed Facebook and Instagram, almost all these people graduated from university, if they focus on their certificates, they might not attain the heights they are in today, almost all of them started from Zero, now they are Heroes.

In addition to this, I would love to advise students to be more dedicated, have discovered from research that majority of students focus their certificates alone because they think education is the shortcut to making it in life, there is no shortcut to life, and education is not an automatic ticket to making it in life, it is just an........

PoliticsRe: Buhari Accused Of Inciting Violence During His Speech At APC Rally In Zamfara by thebrainyfox: 7:43am On Feb 12, 2019
EzegeNG:
Media Personality and Political Economist, Gimba Kakanda have accused President Buhari of inciting violence during his speech at the APC Campaign Rally in Zamfara State.

In a footage that we've been furnished with, the President was heard telling the people of Zamfara in Hausa, to eat to their fill before coming out on the Election day, so that if there's an unrest, they're prepared.

Gimba Kakanda on sharing the clip, wrote;

When I saw a clip of this video last night, I shared my concern about the context. Having listened to a long audio and this, I’m worried. Buhari is telling Zamfara people to eat to their fill before coming out on the Election Day, so that if there’s an unrest, they are prepared.

Buhari is the Commander-in-Chief and tasked with providing security, not inciting violence as this Zamfara outing reveals. It’s quite sad that he got the chance to address these people, who’ve lost loved ones under his watch, and this insensitive speech was what he had for them.

This is coming days after Governor Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar of Zamfara State threatened that there would be no elections in the State if the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) exclude the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidates from the forth coming elections.

Watch the video here and see reactions below....

Nigerians have gotten to the stage that they condemned what should be commended and commend what should be condemned.

I'm neither saying buhari should be condemned nor commended tho, but let's stop the sentimentalism!

to eat to their fill before coming out on the Election day, so that if there's an unrest, they're prepared.

What the old man said here should be given a reasonable interpretations rather than this biased meaning attached to it.

I'm not a buharist tho and I'm not voting for APC, but our judgment shouldn't be clouded by hatred for PMB.

5 IMPORTANT PEOPLE YOU MUST MEET IN LIFE TO SUCCEED

PHILOMATH Monday, February 11, 2019 Life Tips

Your success in life is a function of people that you hang out with. What you will meet in life is a function of those who you meet. That is why you must never miss who you should meet.

You cannot be successful if you are not fully with these persons. It is your hunger in life that should determine your hang out. Hang out with people who are the pictures of your future. This will help you to be featured in the actual future.
Success requires some process, and one of the processes is that you hang out. You must try to meet as many persons as possible because you never can tell those who will help you succeed. Meet the five persons you need to succeed below:

5 Persons to meet if you want to be Successful

1. THE MENTOR
Without a mentor, you will face so many tormentors. Mentors are those fortunate people who have already accomplished what you're trying to do - not only once, but quite a few times.

These people will have the experience, intelligence, and knowledge that you don't currently have. They will help you acquire valuable insights simply by simply having fruitful discussions with you.

2. THE EXPERT
One of the most powerful ways of increasing your brand's visibility and tapping into the local market is to meet with people who have a good reputation in your industry's niche.
Meet people who are already experts in the area you want to go into. They will make it easy for you to succeed. The journey is too far that you may end up a leper if you want to do it alone.

3. THE PEER
Meeting with peers is also a good idea. However, they won't have as much experience as a mentor or an expert will. But they're trying to accomplish the same thing you're trying to do, so it's nice to be able to talk with someone who is in the same boat as you.
Because they're on your level, you'll have to rescue them and they'll have to rescue you too. You'll learn to work together and find solutions for common problems. Having someone to share these experiences with will form the basics of a great lifelong friendship.
Also, if they're in a similar niche, their networks and connections will be helpful to you as well.

4. THE LOCAL TALENT
The local talent is some kind of expert in some aspect of your .........

TOGETHER WE ARE (A POEM DEDICATED TO VALENTINE)

PHILOMATH Monday, February 11, 2019 Life Tips

TOGETHER WE ARE

Together we are, together we will stay.
Nothing on earth will ever break us,
Forever and ever even in disguise.
Our love will continue in heaven,
One love will take us to that haven.

If I were to compare our love to a tree.
Our roots grow stronger,
I’m sure you would agree,
We sometimes face winds that are strong,
But you and I face them together all along.

And our families is like the branches of the tree
Most of the times happy,
But at times we disagree.
And even as we age, we continue to grow.
Just like each season even when it rains

We have learnt how to bend with each storm
that sends,
Challenges that seem to have no end.
But each year we find that our leaves,
They do bloom and

Our love for each other
Is like best perfume
There are deep feelings stirring strong
Deep within my heart
Telling me that finally

Love has made its start.
Life is too short not to express your feelings
Your devotion you must confess
Show appreciation, and
For those you care,

Let your love be known.
So they are aware.

A loving heart is the truest wisdom.
If you love someone,
Tell them.

Don’t be afraid to express yourself
I hold you in high esteem,
We make the finest team
With our love,
We form a stream

To prove I can love,
I go the extreme.
The beauty of your smile......

- How do we name compounds?

What are parent names?

Parent names are simply functional groups, in a particular compound, the first thing is to identify the parent name, I will advise you to carefully study functional groups, for example if you see 'OH' in any compound, you will easily know that the parent name is alkanol, here are few functional groups

i. OH (Alkanol)
ii. Single bond (alkane)
iii. Double bond (alkene)
iv. Triple bond (alkyne)
v. -COOH (Alkanoic)
vi. -CHO (Alkanal)
vii. -O- (Ether/Alkoxyalkane)
viii. -COO- (Ester/Alkanoates) etc.
Please study the rest carefully, they are very important, so in any compounds given to you, what do you need to identify first?, yes! Good! Parent names!

How do we choose the correct chain?
What are chains?, definition of catenation will answer this, catenation is the ability of carbon to combine together to form chains (straight, branch or cyclic chains) here it should be noted that carbon bond to carbon to form chains, so bonding of carbon to carbon is what we call chains. Before you can name any compound, after identifying the parent name, you need to identify the longest chain, chains can be in different forms, some chains might be 'U' shape, some might be 'Π' shape, you need to understand how long the carbon bond to one another, always select longest chain first.
So after selecting longest chain, the number of carbon in the longest chain will be the parent name, I.e assuming you've gotten the functional group in the parent name as Alkanol, and in the longest chain the number of carbon is 8, then your parent name will be whathuh, yes! Octanol. Don't forget the counting mono (1), di (2), tri/prop (3), tetra (4), penta (5), hexa (6), hepta (7), octa (cool Nona (9) and deca (10). They are not more than this for O' level students.

How do we identify Substituents?
Substituents in organic chemistry means any elements or compounds that substitute (replace) hydrogen in an organic compound, the main substituents are halogens such as bromine, fluorine, chlorine and iodine, and also all alkyl group such as methyl (CH3), ethyl (C2H5), propyl (C3H7) etc. So whenever you see any of the above elements or compounds in an organic compound, just know that they are substituents.

How do we start numbering?
The mistake most students make is by misquoting New School Chemistry, majority of the students believe numbering starts from left and left alone, but this is wrong!, you can start numbering from either left or right, it just depends on you to know where to start numbering from, you will learn the technique in this article.
First take your numbering from........

EX BBNAIJA STARS STORMED UNILORIN FRESHERS' ORIENTATION (VIDEOS)
PHILOMATH Thursday, February 07, 2019 Unilorin Community.

Today 7th of February, 2019, around 11:30 in the school auditorium, a noise was heard from every students, they were shouting and jubilating at the entrance of Ex BBNaija stars (Teddy A, K Brule and Rico swavey).

It should be noted that the Student Affairs Division organized a 3-day orientation program for the freshers to familiarize them on the school rules and regulations, dress code, Library usage and also advise them on how to live an offense free life on campus, today is the third day which is scheduled for students from Faculty of Physical Science, Faculty of Life Science, Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Management Science.

When the Orientation was about to end, the entrance of the Ex BBNaija stars sparkle the interest of the students and thereby led to jubilating and screaming by the students, a lesson to be learnt from the visit is a short speech delivered by K Brule, he said:

'You can enjoy your life, flex, do fashion, enjoy life to the fullest, but before doing this you need to take care of the 4years of your life, because if the 4years is okay, you will be able to achieve anything'

The 4years of your life is your stay in the school, you really need to take proper care of it, go into enterprenuer, learn marketable digital skills etc. Imitation is limitation, why must you imitate your friends who are living large?, who are living luxury life?, because you're broke now doesn't mean you can't make it in life, don't ever let fashion competition with your colleagues leads you into immoral acts like yahoo yahoo, extortion, prostitution, etc.

Please just try and face your studies now, you can slay later, you can do fashion later, you can enjoy life fully later. But please, do the right things now, don't imitate, imitation is limitation.

9 HACKS TO REMEMBER WHATEVER YOU READ, STEP 9 WILL SHOCK YOU
PHILOMATH Tuesday, January 29, 2019 Education

Problem that most students face nowadays is inability to retrieve learnt materials for present use, this is termed as FORGETFULNESS, we all forget things at one point or the other, but how would it be if we can study and still remember everything we read?

If you can carefully read this 9-powerful steps and also apply it, you will definitely say your last message to forgetfulness as this post will change you for good and also build your understanding skills, thereby making you to remember whatever you were taught or whatever you read easily.

All credits to RON WHITE, these are the 9 steps, please read carefully and apply it while studying, if you are having any difficulties, let us know through the comments section.

STEP 1
Whenever you want to read, never do marathon reading (reading for a long time without taking breaks) because it gets your brain bored and thereby making it hard for you to assimilate whatever you read.
Study for 25 - 50 minutes, then take 10 - 15 minutes break then study for 25 - 50 minutes again and take break, continue like that, but please never read for long time without taking breaks.

STEP 2
Get 6 - 8 hours of sleep the night after you learn something according to Dr James B. Maas (Author of sleep for success) "If you get a good night sleep (6 - 8 hours) the night after you learn something, you will remember it better than if you had a poor night sleep" because in this hours, your brain replay what you learnt, that's why you remember better when you wake, if you do find yourself sleep deprived, take a nap of 15 - 30 minutes sleep before you study and it shouldn't be more than that.

STEP 3
Chew a particular gum as you study, and when you take a test chew a gum with the exact flavour (I.e the particular gum you chewed while studying), it has been scientifically established that it triggers your brain to remember what you were studying the last time you chewed the gum, it may be weird but try it and you will definitely be surprised.

STEP 4
Clear your mind of .........

ANALYSIS ON ASUU STRIKE
PHILOMATH Saturday, February 02, 2019 Spotlight,
SPOTLIGHT

Welcome to spotlight, the section of The Brainy Fox's blog where we discuss topical issues that has been in the spotlight in recent weeks.

In this edition, we take a look at the ASUU strike and the issues facing the education sector in the Nation.

In the past 20 years, Nigerian Universities have been on strike for a cumulative period of 40 months. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government have always been at loggerheads over funding of universities in the nation, with ASUU demanding for a decent pay, better working conditions and an increase in financing of universities on the part of the government.

Hence, it was no surprise, when the body at its National Executive Council meeting held at Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), annouced the start of another "total and comprehensive" strike some ninety days ago.

Pronto, the Federal Government, through the minister of Labour swung into action almost immediately, arranging numerous meetings intended to come to terms with the warring body, all to no avail. And as negotiations continue, it is rather inevitable that, eventually an agreement will be reached and lecturers will resume back to work. But, will the statusquo change? Will the ills militating against the development of tetiary institutions in the nation be cured? Would there be yet another strike action in some six, seven or eight months down the line ?

It is no longer news, that tertiary education in Nigeria, due to a noxious combination of neglect and mismanagement, has over the years, fallen into a squalid state of dilapidation. And in a time where the development of a nation depends on viable advancement in technology, arts and science, the curriculums in the Nigerian education system are ill-equipped to drive the nation towards any form of development.

The problems facing the education sector in Nigeria are putative; pitiable funding coupled with an obnoxious level of mismanagement and a couple of other issue make a long list of issues facing the sector. But yet, we keep papering over cracks as though all is well.

Of the major reasons ASUU is on strike, perhaps the most pertinent is the issue of wages of lecturers. Lecturers are pitiably underpaid, that's if they get paid when due.

Any system designed to pay Senator Isiaka Ademola who doesn't have a WAEC certificate in excess of 13 Million Naira every month for doing virtually nothing, while academic stalwarts like Professor Alex Ike Mowete, Professor Wale Babalakin, who have trained multiple prospects who now shape the nation's economy today, 5 million Naira in twelve months is not only mindless but brainless .

In saner climes, the teaching profession is considered a prodigious one. However, in Nigeria, teachers are about the most indigent, lot mostly derided in poverty. A sad reality, which leaves the future of education in the nation in great danger .

Unfortunately, the on-going strike won't alter the statusquo or should we call it the norm. Eventually, dodgy politicians who have no sample or iota of moral compunctions would once again revert to their Machiavellian tactics to deceive the supposed "cerebral lords" who head ASUU.

That apart, another issue that agitates the mind is the level of infastructure in Nigerian tetiary institutions, I was once a student of the best polytechnic in Nigeria according to the NUC ranking ; Yaba College of Technology. Deplorable toilets, dilapidated hostel rooms, absence of light bulbs in lecture rooms etc . All describe the state of infastructure in the school.

The story is not different in many state owned Universities and Polytechnics in Nigeria, students barely have a place to sit, lecture room sitting spaces are always inadequate, and the environment mean no well for the academic development of any student no matter how smart.

The quality of teachers in the Universities is another cause for great concern. Most lecturers are not cut out for their jobs, and in most cases have very little understanding of the courses they take.

A check on the 168 institutions in the nation will reveal a legion of half-baked lecturers who probably took up teaching due to lack of alternatives and should not be anywhere near lecture rooms

Students in the faculty of education are expected to be good educationist cum lecturers, but it is a well known fact that students students who end up reading education are mainly those whose cut-off marks do not secure them a place in the course of their first or second choice. It is an established fact that......

RomanceThis Is For All Parents!, How Do You Train Your Children? by thebrainyfox(op): 1:15am On Feb 02, 2019
HOW DO YOU TRAIN YOUR CHILDREN?
PHILOMATH Friday, February 01, 2019 Relationship Tips,

This is a very typical question that requires a very typical answer. But to be frank with you my readers, training up a child comes in different ways and styles depending on how you do yours.
Even the HOLY BOOK ''THE BIBLE'' advises that if parents spare the rock, they will definitely spoil the child. Another portion of the bible advises that parents should train up their child in the way that they should grow so that when they grow up, they will not depart from it. Now this is the biblical side to child training.
Please let me advise parents and intending parents reading this piece right now. Please parents (especially mothers) stop calling your child (ren) negative names especially in your local dialect...

Some mothers go as far as calling their child(ren) things like ''were ni e'' (you are mad) ''olori buruku ni e'' (you are a stupid child) ''koni da fun e'' (it will not be better for you), ''o ni ku re'' you will die a negative death), ''oniranu'' (useless child) ''omo buruku jati jati'' (you are a very stupid child), EXCUSE ME!!!!!!!

FOR GOD'S SAKE, DO YOU EVEN KNOW THE MEANING OF THESE (local Adjectives) YOU USE ON YOUR OWN CHILDREN?
DO YOU EVEN WISH YOUR CHILD(REN) WELL AT ALL?
WHAT SORT OF A MOTHER ARE YOU?
IS GOD EVER GOING TO FORGIVE YOU FOR THIS NONSENSE?
DO YOU THINK THIS IS THE RIGHT WAY TO INSTILL DISCIPLINE INTO YOUR CHILDREN? DO YOU TAKE ALL OF THESE AS A MERE ABUSE?
ARE YOU EVEN SUPPOSED TO ABUSE YOUR CHILD IN THE FIRST PLACE?
These are the few rhetorical questions that even you (PARENTS) cannot answer.
Listen to me sweet mother, DON'T YOU KNOW THAT THERE IS POWER IN THE TONGUE?
OR HAVE YOU NOT THOUGHT THAT YOUR CHILD(REN) MIGHT BECOME THOSE NEGATIVE THINGS YOU CALL THEM? (GOD FORBID)!
How will you feel if.......

BE IN COMPETITION WITH YOURSELF
PHILOMATH Sunday, January 27, 2019 Relationship Tips
After university/secondary school all we have is BBM, SNAPCHAT, FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, TWITTER etc.

We see our course mates and age group on social media, and we envy how well things are going for them.
We notice their weave and skin color.
We look at how far they have gone in the corporate world and constantly compare ourselves to them.
We help them count their children since we have none to count yet .

So Facebook/ Instagram becomes a place that reminds us of how far behind we are. The unspoken truth is everybody displays the best part of their lives here. Their skin colour could be as a result of a good camera . Nobody tells you that they have been laid off and currently all they have is their phones, make up and slick suits.

The most important thing you must always remember is that.....

HOW DO PEOPLE PERCEIVE YOU?
PHILOMATH Monday, January 28, 2019 Relationship Tips

There is this lady from not so rich but comfortable and noble background. Her name is Mercy, and they have this house girl named Tracy.

Mercy treats this house help like she’s not a Human. She (Mercy) calls her (Tracy) all sorts of name, she abuses her and do all kind of nonsense to her. The house girl is from a poor background so she got to endure. Meanwhile, Mercy treats people outside with respect, but she never replicate that to Tracy. So people outside see her as a very nice person while her house girl (TRACY) sees her as a very wicked person.

Meanwhile, Mercy is in a very serious relationship which could lead to marriage. The name of her fiancé is Harry. So when Harry went to visit her (Mercy) parents. Mercy was so kind and nice to Tracy (the house help) which made her really flabbergasted and dumbfounded. So somehow, Harry was served a bottle of wine by Tracy (the house girl) and at this point, Mercy is already upstairs to call her parents downstairs. Harry started a sarcastic discussion with Tracy, excerpts;

Harry: How are you dear, what’s your name?
Tracy: Tracy Onyenankeya Amarachi ( with her head facing downwards and her hands locked tightly behind her)
Harry: oh wow. That’s nice.
Tracy: (feeling flattered) Tha… tha.. thank you sir.
Harry: That’s okay, I like this your gown, is it Mercy that bought it for you?
Tracy: (unexpectedly) Noooo!.. God Forbid!!
Harry: (surprised) why would you say that? Or can’t she buy it for you?
Tracy (feeling tensed, angry and scared) see oga, I mean Uncle, No sorry, Brother, na my mama buy this cloth for me.
Harry: (still very curious) I know but why did you make such exclamation?
Tracy: (really scared now) Ah! Oga, no put me for trouble, I no talk anything oo!
Harry: (really inquisitive now) alright, just tell me, I no go tell anybody, I promise (crossing his heart)
Tracy: Ah! Oga… em .. I go tell you but remember say you don promise ooo!
Harry: yes I remember, go ahead (really curious)
Tracy: hmm oga, Aunty Mercy no fit buy this cloth for me because, I know say she no like me. Anytime she see me, she go dey vex, she go dey curse me dey curse my mama, if I greet am na fight, I no greet am na wahala. I no know wetin I do am sef.
Harry, (really surprised cos that’s like the opposite of the Mercy he knows), Are you sure of these things?
Tracy: if I lie, make amadioha for my village, kill me.
Harry: (could not even say a word) (feeling totally disappointed).

Immediately after this, Mercy walks in and noticed Tracy standing opposite her ( mercy’s) boo and both of them were silent, so she started screaming at Tracy on top of her voice, calling her all sort of names and even abusing her with that exasperation, (even after the girl had left). Harry felt so disappointed at this (but didn’t show it). He just excused himself outside and.......

RomanceIf You Think Youre Ugly Or Do Insult Ugly Beings, Please Read This by thebrainyfox(op): 12:09am On Jan 29, 2019
ARE YOU THINKING YOU'RE UGLY, PLEASE READ THIS AND CHANGE YOUR MINDSET
PHILOMATH Sunday, January 27, 2019 Relationship Tips
NO HUMAN BEING IS UGLY!!! Yes! I said it, i will say it time and time again, i will continue to say it, i will never stop saying it either. Saying what exactly? you may ask. That is the fact that ''there is no Human being created by God himself, that is ugly''.

Many people use that term 'he's too ugly for me' or 'she's too ugly for me'. To me, those words are coming from an ignoramus tongue because they are ignorant. If you ask me, I think that's a lay man's language. God created us in his image and likeness remember. The image he's talking about here is not just the facial outlook but the likeness of God. Likeness in all ramification, ranging from MINDSET, CHARACTER and the rest. So when someone is not facially bouyant, don't judge them by what you see physically or facially. We all should understand that there are hidden treasures in everyone.

Some people can be facially bouyant but their character is just unimaginable!. Some of them have very bad manner to start with. Meanwhile, there are people who might not be facially sound but their character and their person is just, 'out of this world'. At the first sight, you might not pick interest in them but when you get to know them inside-out, you'll be amazed at what comes out of them. You just find yourself clinging to them simply because, you have found that hidden treasure in them. Listen my friends, Don't you ever see anybody and tell them to their face (even behind them) that they are 'ugly'. some go as far as telling their friends things like, ''o girl you wowo ooo'', ''only God know how your children will look like''! Oh Jesus have Mercy! Can you just imagine these words being said to you? And if the person gets angry, you claim to be joking. THAT'S AN EXPENSIVE JOKE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! C'mon now, How do you want her to feel? The innocent girl will

EducationAs A Unilorin Fresher, You Need This Tips Inorder To Score 40 In The Cbt Test by thebrainyfox(op): 8:46pm On Jan 28, 2019
As a unilorin fresher, how nice would it be if you can score 40/40 in the CBT test slated to commence in the next few days?

Assuming you scored 40/40, then you would be looking for 30more marks in the examination to have 'A', wow! That will be so nice. Well! It is possible if you can follow this tips that I will be dropping.

First know that, reading is one thing and passing is another thing, it is not always about what you read, experience can save you at times.

These are what you must know before the CBT test date.

1. Time management: You must be able to manage your time effectively, from research, I was able to gather facts that time allocated for each course ranged from 15 - 30 minutes and 8 - 12 minutes for GNS, as you can see, the time is very limited and you need to work very fast, always remember that it is not about you knowing the course, but you being smart with the little you know, don't be surprised if the person you tutored scored more than you because he/she is very smart in the CBT hall (Being smart here doesn't mean involving in examination malpractice please, don't implicate Philomath, what I'm just talking about is that you need to be hyper fast while answering the questions)

2. Relax/Rest: At least have an 8-hour sleep a day to your test day, don't over read because over reading kills your brain and may lead to amnesia (loss of memory) in the CBT hall

3. Examination/Test Anxiety: This examination/test anxiety need to be taken care of, first what is examination/test anxiety?, examination/test anxiety is the fear during a particular examination/test that you are going to fail it, the most commonly used words in UNILORIN is FACE TANKE which euphemistically means EXPULSION, this statement do scare students and thereby create anxiety in them, they will be having different thought in the CBT hall, thoughts like:

Have I studied enough?
I'm not sure I can pass this exam/test
I'm done for
I will face tanke
Had I know I would have studied very well, etc.

The symptoms of this examination/test anxiety includes

Sweating palms
Fast breathing rate
Headache
Feeling of easing oneself
Feeling of visiting the toilet
Shaking hands and legs
Hot temperature etc.

If you don't take proper care of this, it may waste your time, and may make you to be impatient in the hall and thereby forcing you to make mistakes while answering the questions because you are not calm. All what you need is to be calm, have confidence in yourself, before starting the exam, clear your mind, forget about facing tanke, aim for 40/40, close your eyes and say to yourself that "I CAN DO THIS". Be brave! Be courageous! Fight the anxiety!

4..........
