Xano:Funny, since when does the date of registering on Nairaland determine whether I bring good intentions or not. What if I registered just yesterday or today itself and posted the topic, will the merit or otherwise of my post be judged on date alone? If I appear to be sincere, that's because I am. But you will never know for certain now, will you? Go and sit outside bro, you insult human intelligence with your confused logic. |
I cant shout abeg. No wonder there is trouble upandan. Esu ti arrive si abule ![]()

Fayose, ti e ti ba eh! Translation: E don set for you ![]() As in, your soup don cook! Do a simple google image search for tout governor ![]()
|
Mrpoker:And thanks for revealing your true self at the second time of asking. You saw only my moniker? Hope my signature doesn't end up applying to you forcefully ![]() And please, it's "commensurate" not "commiserate". Commiserate is a word that can, for instance, be used to condole a person (if he survived) upon whose head the collective curses of a nation has brought a vengeful tragedy due to his or her working against the progress of said nation |
eeya..

Mrpoker:You may read the post all over again. However, I may help you out a bit. I wish to see my country rid of all negative elements on social media that threatens to circumvent its progress for their own selfish and corrupt aims. I don't support any thief, be it APC or PDP. |
chxe:Prayer point? ![]() |

justice2016:Like Fayose and Zenith abi? Ok. Point number 9 for you my man. 4th paragraph ![]() |
Young03:Its, OK. Its for the enlightened minds only ![]() |
Abeymills:*Refer again to point 6 above. NB: You still haven't answered the question. This attitude is synonymous with hypocrisy. I hope you are not one. Now answer the question. |
Abeymills:*Gents, Refer to point number 6 as above for this one with a gutter mouth. Question: Are you willing to accept this prayer point?: That your entire life from now on till death should be managed as those you are defending managed their office and administration? YES or NO We don't want stories. |
Abeymills:12. You shall know them by their utterance. In simplistic terms, only those who have something to fear will worry about why the FG has decided to criminalize corruption, unlike before. |
10. In addition (based on the two recent posts below the topic), some of them hide under the shadow of "opposition" to bash anything and anyone to further a dark interest. You will not see them offering any explanations to why they said or want something. Just mindless bashing! 11. They make you genuinely wonder whether they prefer individuals to continue to steal the general commonwealth blindly and go scot free AT ALL TIME! |
This is to call the attention of all well-meaning Nigerians on this forum. This group maybe even deadlier than Boko Haram currently. The reason is very simple: They have no qualms if Nigeria goes down in flames as long as they get what they want. How to identify them: 1. They were the affluent regular citizens you see in your streets in the past regime, who appears to be 'making it' while everyone else struggles badly alongside them because the rogue system works perfectly for them 2. They are the sort that will always have a kind word for confirmed criminals 3. You will always find them at the forefront of the "all Nigerians are criminals, therefore no one is guilty" crusade 4. They are the sort that will rally for criminals and carry placards for looters 5. They do not belong to any party. If they represent anything at all, it is their POCKET 6. They are the ones who will curse you bitterly if you ask them to use the criminal public office holders they are defending as a prayer-point for how their life will be managed 7. The President and the VC are acutely aware of their existence. 8. You can find them in all strata of the society, not only at street level 9. Finally, on nairaland here, you will find them bashing any and every positive steps achieved in the recovery of Nigeria from the dark, wasted and corrupted ages. They will have no argument or solution, just simply bashing, derailing, and purposely misleading. Their topics will have no factual links or sources. They just vomit endlessly and without shame or remorse as they campaign hard for their dark motives. Their chief war cry is "silencing us the opposition" and "witch-hunted by a tyrannical government". They know how to spread baseless fear. Their name is CFB - Corruption Fights Back! Please circulate their name around on nairaland so everyone can easily identify them and ignore them. These people wants your future dead on arrival. Any insane and dangerous steps or utterance they make is justified as long you have no future and they edge back towards the dark times where dark methods works darkly for them and their greedy motivations. |
Confirmation bias: The wish or attitude to jump on any spurious claims to support a thinly held belief. Before you type sh1t and dip your brain further into toxic excrement, why don't you ask for a link or a source of the news you are chomping down your throat. link as in: L-I-N-K source as in: S-O-U-R-C-E Don't let them use your dull brains to assist in destroying the nation for their own selfish intents. Corruption is indeed fighting back! ![]() |

DesChyko:The simple reason why Nigeria is failing is that each region is heavily vested in the struggle to see the other region fail miserably at the presidency. I say, its not by force to remain a single-unit Nigeria. We can split, do cross border trades, inter-marry and develop side by side. Here is a list of countries who have for one reason or the other seceded (split) from a country, who are not in danger of collapse and are OK to varying degrees today. 1. Austria - From Germany 2. Belgium - From Netherlands 3. Nicaragua - From Mexico 4. Cyprus - From Turkey 5. Eritrea - From Ethiopia 6. Finland - From Russia 7. Ecuador - From Colombia 8. Venezuela - From Colombia 9. Pakistan - From India 10. Singapore - From Malaysia 11. Texas - From Mexico 12. Norway - From Sweden 13. Czech Republic - From Yugoslavia 14. Ireland - From United Kingdom 15. Wales - From United Kingdom 16. Croatia - From Yugoslavia 17. Slovenia - From Yugoslavia 18. Macedonia - From Serbia 19. Kosovo - From Bosnia Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secession#Australia Since we all (ethnic groups) boasts of being the best, I will like to see what we can achieve as independent nation as I am extremely tired of all these failures since 1960! ETC Some minor errors will be picked up by commenters, thanks in advance. |
In light of the current travails of the APC ruling party, PDP has been very vocal about 2019 and their intent to reclaim back power at the Presidential level. It is this burning intent that gives birth to the equally burning questions of the motive behind the party's power struggles. So... 1. What does PDP want? 2. Why does PDP feels the need to come back so bad? 3. What does PDP have that convince them that they need to once lead Nigerians again? 4. Does PDP have any unfinished businesses that is so crucial for them to come back and finish? 5. Where does PDP get the sort of confidence that well-meaning Nigerians will gladly accept them back? 6. Who in PDP has the sincerity and goodwill to turn Nigeria around for the better? 7. And finally, what is actually PDP's stance against corruption? PDP and whoever is bearing the party's membership card needs to step forward and convince the masses about why they are the solution to the problems bedeviling Nigeria. The effort should be logical and concise and understandable without any sort of mudslinging or unnecessary misdirection from the topic at hand. APC supporters in here should try to hold off on commenting for at least the next two pages to allow PDP supporters to give their best efforts for these questions. The floor is open... cc: lalasticlala

Cars in those days get attitude. Look at their faces like say na vex! Oshun Goddess, Chimamanda, Maki Oh In Beyonce's Viral Lemonade Video: https://www.nairaland.com/3073509/oshun-goddess-chimamanda-maki-oh
|
Nigeria scored big again on the international scene, this time with Beyonce's amazing new album release (Lemonade) featuring a dazzling 55mins video that has got the whole world talking (and placed Jay-Z on a hot seat). Beyonce personified the Yoruba Osun goddess in the video and referenced Chimamanda's poem in the video. Nigeria's top designer Maki oh also scored a product placement in the video as he is involved in some the artistic visuals used in the video. See the exerpts below: “Y'all think Beyoncé was just breaking windows, twerking and playing in water. No, she was portraying Oshun, a Yoruba Orisha,” Facebook user Tasha Robinson wrote in a post Sunday. “Sensual, sexual, beautiful Goddess [and] deity who is a healer, gives life, growth, luxury, change and prosperity. That was the message of Lemonade. Love, change and prosperity." http://mic-26-1074425974-yahoopartner.tumblr.com/post/143396169799/this-beyonc%C3%A9-lemonade-meaning-theory-involving https://www.bellanaija.com/2016/04/whoop-whoop-amandla-stenberg-wears-maki-oh-in-beyonces-lemonade-video/ Of Beyoncé's talents, her greatest might be her ability to make so many black women feel good and recognized in a world that actively tries to make them feel everything but. She makes my sister feel powerful, and my nieces feel beautiful and capable of achieving anything. She comforts, excites, and empowers my female friends in ways no man ever could. More often than not, Beyoncé makes art explicitly for black women. Of course, the rest of us are welcome to partake and enjoy, but her mission is clear. The film is incredibly ambitious. It spans several locations, urban and rural, intimate and expansive. We watch her levitate; writhe in water; leap from a building; take bats to some presumably trifling man’s car. She also rents a stadium that has hosted the Super Bowl like it’s a PO box. And love. On “***Flawless,” from her self-titled album, Beyoncé introduced some of her fans to Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. In LEMONADE, we hear adaptations of the poems "For Women Who Are Difficult to Love" Source: Complex.com (http://www.complex.com/music/2016/04/beyonce-lemonade-film-essay?utm_campaign=complexmag&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&sr_share=facebook) If you have enough data to spare, below is the link to the video: http://gossiponthis.com/2016/04/24/video-watch-beyonce-lemonade-hbo-album-movie/
