While I quite appreciate a governor identifying with his people but I think such job is not beyond the capacity of his mobile police/army escorts. The one that looks more of governor's required action should have been him directing that the road should be repaired within a stipulated time possible, not necessarily a road-show.

HealthRe: Help!!! My Husband Is A One Minute Man, I Am Frustrated! by thedarams: 6:34am On Aug 18, 2016
This is quite simple but requires about five(5) different activities. (1). You must talk together and make him admit he has a little challenge and that it doesn't mean you are wayward. (2). Go for medical check-up and rule out any medical health issue. (3). Reverse his usual/common food and activities(if possible). (4). Try natural herbs and counsel(yem kem,oko oloyun, oroki and the likes). (5). Sex film is very important in this situation. Some have been wondering why it's allowed on the web up till now...the American govt allowed it as a means of teaching sexuality to couples having this kind of challenge, which is one of the leading causes of broken homes in developed countries. Many couples have been able to overcome this kind of situation, you are not alone in it...#don't give up and never you try another man..that will hurt or end the marriage in the long run.
PoliticsRe: Traders Protest In Benue Over Tax Policies Of Ortom (photos) by thedarams: 8:05am On Jul 25, 2016
#eye of the mind:
With all modesty, I've always maintained that the crop of governors we have these days are so lazy and lame mentally. The only thing they ever think of when they want to increase their IGR is to descend on the poor traders, farmers, artisans, okada riders, motor transporters and civil slaves called servants. You will be shocked that a governor will be boasting that his predecessor was making an IGR of #100m monthly but when he took over, he has increased it to #500m monthly. Then ask him how he has done it, no other explanation than the method analogous to snatching of bag and arm-twisting someone just to forcefully collect from them what dilligently belongs to them. Their common style is to pounce on the poor masses by increasing their daily ticket fee from say #100 before to about #500 without adding any value to how the people are making the money. They go about harassing them and impounding their wares if they refuse to pay the crazy unwarranted bill. Meanwhile these people are not enjoying any support whatsoever from govt, yet they are being oppressed with obnoxious taxation. Some people make reference to UK and US in terms of taxation, forgetting that taxation is a mutual contract between govt and the people; give me power electricity so that I can preserve my perishable goods before I finish selling, in Nigeria, our women throw away items like vegetables(leaves, okra, pepper, tomato), meat, fish, corn, fruits etc because no power supply. Where are the roads provided by govt that connect the farms to the markets? How is govt helping them to move their goods to the market in terms of transportation? Where is the fertilizer and at what subsidy? What of the herbicide and pesticide, at what price? What of the farm implements and machinery?
I myself, am a farmer, I lost nearly a truck-load of corns last year due to collapsed farm road at the peak of rain, then having lost more than 80percent, then one dumb govt is now lurking around to collect WHAT from me? Then you expect me to gladly pay and return to such venture next season? For instance, when my boss went to UK for his masters, their project was on planting asparagus off season..a govt driven initiative. Meaning they can now harvest fresh asparagus throughout the year irrespective of whatever season. What are we seeing here? Even the agric extension workers are no more. The only role the governors play is how to share the money from Abuja(even an slowpoke can perform that function), then they give a matching order to their revenue collecting agencies to force money out of the pockets of the poor innocent masses(that's the work of an armed robber). My simple advice to you the Pharaoh governors: go and learn from Lagos, their taxes are majorly from companies and Industries. Go and attract industries and investments to your states and tax the investments NOT collecting from the already poor and impoverished people to pay salaries and service yourselves.
PoliticsRe: "Oloibiri" Where Nigeria's Crude Oil Was 1st Discovered And Drilled(photos) by thedarams: 3:46am On Jul 24, 2016
In my own view, I think corruption, neglect, self-centredness(I and my family alone) heightened by gross indiscipline are all part of Nigeria and our leaders irrespective of tribe, region, religion or political party. We learnt the first coup by Kaduna 'Ezeogu' was since 1966 and the reason for the coup was corruption. I think those mentioning Jonathan only cited the example of how our leaders, including those of the past, handled the issue of the region as a result of selfishness and corruption. For instance, Senators and Reps have always come from that region, what have they been representing? it was a notherner that created the Ministry of Niger Delta out of concern, a southerner was there, he rather wiped out Odi, a community in the region. Alamiesegha rather carted away money meant for the place's development and later disguised like a woman. Few years back, oil companies and govt practically begged the youths to get educated to be employed into the oil companies around them rather than always setting up kangaroo shrines to claim money to be shared among the strong few(which was even the beginning of militancy), the youths were given consideration for employment in oil and oil related companies, including NNPC, Shell, Chevron, Exxon-Mobil, etc. Then there were scholarships here and there for them alone, I nearly claimed Ondo State while in the university to get such opportunity which was from year2 to your final year in whatever course. A neighbour from that area told me that it was a Town Crier that announced to them to come if they were ready to work in NNPC, and that was how he got his job 25years ago, interestingly he was the only one that showed interest in that community. So I think our problem in this country, including the Niger Delta, is more of psychological imbalance and poor mental ability.
PoliticsRe: EFCC Seizes Fayose's Houses In Lagos And Abuja, Quizzes Olu Falae by thedarams: 6:44am On Jul 18, 2016
It's obvious that we the commentators on this corruption fight jump into our reactions with very vague knowledge of politics or trying to take side with a political party in this matter. For deeper thought process, please note this:
1). The people in govt now are politicians and politicians will always play politics whether sweet or bitter.
2). As a politician, even if you are next to the Angel, you cannot effectively fight the members of the polital party that sponsored your election, who also have the key to removing you.
3). It is better to start corruption fight at all than to shy away for the fear of corrupt elements in your party.
4). A serious signal is now being sent to everyone, especially the members of the ruling party that if you think you can misbehave now and be protected by your party, tomorrow another party will come in and bring you to book.
5). Opposition should brace up now, try and gain back the power, help us the poor and helpless masses complete the one-sided fight against corruption, thereby bringing to justice those that are of questionable character now in this govt.
Meanwhile, all other agencies of govt as well as Ministries and Departments should also wake up like EFCC and do their works, if anyone in this govt is trying to prevent them, someone within the MDA or even from opposition should shout out to the public. Let us unveil the faces of the enemies of our fatherland.
Finally, let us strive as youths and elders of this country to leave a good legacy for our children and on-coming generation because this present generation has nearly failed.
It is abysmally saddening and dangerous when fathers, moreso grandfathers are mentioned in connection with condemnable behaviours. What value or virtue do you wish to leave for your children and grandchildren? In those days, our fore-fathers preferred to die than to bring shame to their families.
#we need to think.
FamilyRe: Relatives Turning Us Into Their World Bank by thedarams: 6:27am On Jun 28, 2016
I was once in a similar situation. Pls note that that child is a victim of a problem she knew nothing about...parental irresponsibility. Helping her out might be God's divine arrangement and assignment for you. It might even be a divine test. Pls don't fail, don't falter and complain less unless to those that are really ready to help you out. Someone asked an important question; what if she were to be your own child? Pls seek counsel for her from Psychologist, Doctor and Man/Woman of God, because it might also have some spiritual undertone. Pls note, try and keep records or visual/audio evidence of all these in case it all fails, then based on your efforts, you would have your husband to call for a family meeting of those concerned, and lovingly discuss all the efforts and frustration. Definitely, one or two persons will offer advice or suggestions that will take any blame away from you, in case you still have to return her. God help you.
PoliticsRe: Fayose Went To Market After Protest Against Him In Ekiti. Photos by thedarams: 1:23am On Jun 25, 2016
I think We the youths should know better if we really are to be trusted with the leadership of this country. How does crowding around a governor translate to development? From careful study and interviews, hailing and running after a governor does not even denote their love or support for him, but the fact that they can ever see and move closer to a governor in their lives makes them extremely happy and hopeful of a better future, which is obviously as a result of their non-education and poverty, which the governor understands and smartly takes advantage of. Some of these indigent masses even move close to him in order to use him as a point of prayer for their children to become gov/successful in life, not for any support. If he is so much sure of such love, then he should go and do likewise at GRA or Adebayo str, where most rich and enlightened people are, and see if anyone will 'send' him.
BusinessRe: N120bn Aviation Fund: UBA And Jimoh Ibrahim Disagree by thedarams: 2:46pm On Jun 23, 2016
The incontrovertible fact here is that such huge sum of money is missing and an important national carrier has collapsed after being privatised. So when almost all the players in an economy are self-minded, how then do we expect growth and development in the country?
PoliticsRe: Oshiomhole And Obaseki Eating Corn During Campaign by thedarams: 1:20pm On Jun 23, 2016
It is now becoming clearer that we the youths of this country are the confused and highly polically biased moderators. When Fayose did same, a certain group extolled his actions while the other condemned it. Now Oshiomhole did it the two groups have reversed their positions..to me, this is the height of confussion and instability. Then our leaders cannot even trust our sense of judgement as per what is right or wrong, moral or immoral, hence they tend to ignore us and do things without recourse to our advice and contributions.

EducationRe: 720 Intending Lawyers Fails Bar Final Exam.. by thedarams: 6:12am On Jun 07, 2016
The fact that those guys failed does not mean it is over for them. They have the opportunity of re-writing the exams. It's a sort of extra year. It's a common experience in Law School. They can still be very good and successful lawyers.
