Maybe I haven't really been following. I am barely able to watch for 10 mins and then I'm off for days or weeks. Or come here to read one or two pages to figure out what's happening .So you think there are any standout characters in there?

Absolutely,it's all a ploy.I have a friend who is trying to adjust status in the US and suddenly they now say you must have it before you can get a green card.Why must you force people who are already in the US to get it for a green card?I mean how are they related?Mind you they can't force American citizens to do that .it's foreigners that they are forcing.Hes thinking whether to get it or not

The funny thing is that they don't become rich there. They are just average. Not many of them can own a house. They can't even afford to pay to bring their family all together for holidays in Nigeria. Very rich people here don't go there to live there. They go and come back home. They have been attending to the Dropbox guys since March or so,where have you been?You can't compare drop box with fresh applications.Renewals are faster if you don't have any issues like not paying your medical bills when you visited or staying too long at a time(For several months).Most of the fresh applicants in 2020 had their appointments canceled due to covid.They were all reschedule to this year.Thats why you have that two year thing.They are so backed up.And even USCIS in the US are also seriously backed up

The wait time used to be 30 and 60 days before. Now it's two years

My brother and wife are both practicing medical practitioners with 4kids.I’m currently running my masters program in Unilag and a social media specialist in a Logistics firm.it happened that I filled in No relative in the US in 2018 as advised by the travel Agency .
My Question is how can I redeem myself and will my parents history help out with this,and what strong home tie can I possibly provide to proof my coming back? Thanks in anticipation.

The travel agency advised you to fill no relative?I'm sure you are a learned person. I don't get it why you use those guys?Why?Having a relative doesn't mean you will be denied. The qualification for getting a visa is on you.The most important thing they will consider is that are you qualified,and do you actually have a genuine reason to visit the US at the time you are applying .Now you have done what they call misrepresentation.

Before,a b2 visa will have sufficed,but with appointment dates seriously backed up,Filing for them is your best bet now as they will get is sooner.But the B2 route,you will be on a long thing

My friend in the uk worked in a warehouse for hours as a student and was proud to be able to afford a phone.

As he said, in work, he stands for hours and can only go for break for 5 to 10 minutes, if he clocks in late, his pay are deducted.

In the warehouse, the polish are on top and those guys work like craze.

Anytime, he comes home, he has to put his leg into warm water just to relax it

Tough work there.Care homes are a bit easier. Some people just go there to sleep and still earn thousands of dollars.

There is dignity in labour. It's just the Nigeria habit of looking down on people working some types of jobs which is bad.
I even watched a YouTube documentary not long ago where Sola shobowale said she worked some jobs and wasn't ashamed of it.
I am sure that there are lots of people working care homes and that have financed houses, cars, sponsored family through university e.t.c on such jobs. Even from those care jobs, people can move on to become care home owners themselves or become bosses in the field.
When I did back room job at stadium as a student, alot of us Nigerians saw the job as rubbish due to our entitlement mentality but alot of the eastern European guys there had risen to top positions just by working hard.

Right just like you see a lot of these Pakistanis and Indians working in gas stations in the US.You now see them move on to buy gas stations themselves and become owners .some of them own like 10 gas stations and are multi millionaires in dollar terms.People who could hardly speak English when they moved to the US

I do agree that masters in itself is an over qualification in alot of places around the world. All that is needed to start a career in developed countries is majorly a BSc degree. Some people have even built fantastic careers with just a trades/journey person certification or 2 years diploma.

Truth be told, the point of most people going abroad for Masters is to japa first. In Nigeria, would an MSc qualification give an advantage over BSc holders when applying for jobs? that is a big maybe. A good number of my colleagues back in school that never left Nigeria for the abroad to study after our BSc have become directors at places like PWC, KPMG, GE and other multinationals. One of my colleagues even went solo and started his own IT company - It is now one of the biggest in Nigeria today. That is the path they have chosen in life. Some of us have chosen the japa path and equally doing okay as well.
