obowunmi: Nigeria is notorious for not paying salaries and lateness fines.
A government VIP can delay an aircraft full of 750 passengers, on international waters, there are fines for that. 750 passengers on international waters? Na cruise ship? The largest commercial passenger aircraft is the Airbus A380. With a normal four class configuration, it can hold 544 people. However if all the seats were economy, it has a maximum capacity of 853 passengers. http://howthingsfly.si.edu/ask-an-explainer/how-many-passengers-does-biggest-aeroplane-carry |

beezyblaze: Please those who have traveled to usa through qater airways.... Was accommodation provided during the 9hr+ night layover at doha Or do we have to book accommodation ourselves If you are flying Business Class you will have access to the Al Mourjan Lounge....it has all you need for a long layover...a la carte menu, buffet, showers, family rooms, quiet rooms, business centre and prayer room. If flying in Economy and you have One World Sapphire Status, you are entitled to the Oryx Lounge next door...not as nice but pretty good. Alternatively, you can book to stay at the airport hotel (pricey) which is airside at HIA meaning you will not have to clear security...the airport is one of the best in the world....Enjoy your trip. |

KaptainAfrika: From what I know. So long as you dont leave the airport, you wont require transit visa except US, UK and Canada...to my knowledge. If you have long layover, when booking you will be told that you need a transit visa to leave the airport, and come back later for the final leg of the flight e.g. UAE, Ethiopia...to my knowledge. Alternatively, there are hotels in airports where you can lounge without crossing immigration e.g Dubai...to my knowledge. But its always good to check the information online. I recommend Emirates, you probably get to see Dubai before continuing your trip. You don't need a transit visa to the UK if you are going to the US and are not changing terminals. |

Anyways, the OP says he wants to assure her she'll get the visa, don't do that. Na you dey issue am? Nothing is certain The post specifically mentioned IVF kayvine4u: D delay was caused by her hubby who refused to go apply for his own visa, she eventually decided to go alone and go start her own treatment She told them travel date wld be in august, but then tickets were ridiculously expensive and hubby kept promising to go apply for his own visa Yes, she's been trying to conceive for abt 10yrs and was genuinely going for IVF treatment. And yes, she had evidence of all d hospital correspondences wit her, and had rescheduled her 1st appointment for this week. Yes, she said they checked her hand luggage and didn't find anything incriminating. 2 mths becos she just assumed treatment wld take that long for d 1st stage.
Pls let me know how we can tackle this problem when reapplying. Im trying to assure her that she can get her visa again
Why the delay in travel? When did she tell say her travel date will be during her interview? Was she still going for the fertility treatment? If yes, was she having evidence on her to this effect when she arrived the US? Why two months exactly and with what was she justifying this? Did they check her stuff in the US before being denied entry and having visa cancelled? |

Dollarpee49: hello house, can i use another email to fill my DS160 form since i have learnt that I can do it myself , the agent that filled my initial application has refused to give me the login to the email used and for the DS160,he said if I want to apply for anything i must come through him because their are some vital info in the mail which can not be released Better run far away from this agent....is there anything on the DS160 you have that is not true...if everything is true, then you have nothing to worry about. However, if there is even one misrepresentation, or error, or attempt to deceive or improvisation of non existent facts, this is your chance to make a clean break. Prepare to forfeit whatever money you paid to Mr Agent and start the process all over again for a new appointment etc. A DS-160 with false data will land you in serious trouble. |

Did they check her stuff in the US before being denied entry and having visa cancelled? Travelling for IVF alone without your husband or partner is already suspicious...more so when said husband does not yet have a visa. Is her husband not going to fertilize her or is she getting a donor from a sperm bank? Is there any other reason why her husband refused to apply for his visa? Observations made without passing any judgement on the couple. |

Gracedme: Very funny to abandon my son(a baby for that matter) I laboured for and hubby to go meet a supposed lover. My Uncle is even here in Nigeria, we all are going from Nigeria. In addition I've got a fantastic job here with a good pay. So your hypothesis is absolutely wrong, thanks for your contribution Mr. No need to get defensive...The hypothesis is generally assumed to be true until evidence indicates otherwise. The essence of the questions is for you to get your story straight. You've gone from family vacation to solo travel and now back to trip with family plus uncle....the only question I asked that you should be concerned with is what has changed between October and now? |

Gracedme: We planned a family vacation last year but was refused so we are hoping to reapply this year's holiday. But my Uncle is celebrating his birthday on a cruise hence the reason for the cruise in Miami. I'm indifferent about going alone or with my family that's why I'm asking. So if i'm going alone, definitely my strong ties will be hubby and kid. Your personal circumstances don't seem to have changed. A different purpose for travel is not necessarily the same thing as a change in personal circumstances. Hypothetically speaking and please don't take it the wrong way, concerning your hubby and kid, what if your true purpose is to abandon your family to live illegally with your uncle who is really your lover...how does that given your personal circumstances make for strong ties? |

Please I applied for a B1/B2 visa in October 2017 with my son and hubby but was denied see below transcript.
Come September 2018, I’ll be going for a cruise using MSC from Miami and I wish to reapply.
Two questions; 1. I have 3 options to explore and will need your advice- to reapply alone/with my hubby and kid/me and kid. 2. When can I reapply.
Will appreciate your swift response. Who is really going? You, your hubby, you and your hubby or you and your kid? |

nattybanta: In my Opinion (that's if it counts) i would say u shot yourself in the foot:
1. Since you have no Travel history, you can't just want to use your annual leave traveling to US as an opportunity to see just an Aunt not even your immediate family who isn't even Sponsoring your trip cos its already a red flag.
2. All you answers are just too glibber, like you memorized them like a story line.
3. Always engage the VO in discussions to make them believe you have a reason to go to the US and return back. (Take Control and Smile) I agree with the part in bold. hehe at glibber |

ladylco: I kinda disagree with you. My uncle got his 1st usa visa, 3 days to his proposed travel date in fact he got his passport same day he travelled (2015). I even told him he was taking an expensive risk as he has already bought his ticket, rather he said there is no probs.
Oftentimes, refusal reasons are best known to the VO. Like I said, each of the reasons on their own is not sufficient, but when you add all three it increases the complexity but yes refusal reasons are best known to the VO. Quoting the poster, he said he wanted to 'seize the opportunity', he didn't give an impression that he had 'thought it through'. |

Here is my transcript Vo: y r u traveling to the US Me: I will be having my annual leave Jan 12 and intend to seize d opportunity it to visit a relative. Vo: who is she to you [looked at it from my application she viewed] Me: aunt Vo: what state in the US are u visiting Me: Alabama Vo: r u married Me: yes Vo: kids Me: yes Vo: boy or girl Me: boy Vo: have you traveled outside the country b4 Me: no Next thing long typing on her computer screen, followed by blue paper..... Pls ur evaluation Interview date pretty close to travel date plus no prior travel experience is made worse by the fact that it appears that you are trying to 'seize' the opportunity as opposed to a 'well planned' first trip outside the country. Looking at all the reasons together and not on their own might give a fair idea...my opinion only though. Each of the reasons is not valid reason enough for refusal but putting them together paints a totally different picture. |

Select the pay on arrival or at hotel option. They may request a card for guarantee in some instances depending on if you want to pay in advance or not. As I assume you are just making an advanced booking ahead of your interview, I advise that you do not select the pre-pay option. |
